The last dance I attended was my senior women pay all dance (or WPA) and that was in 2000. I don't remember much except for the following:
arrow I went to the dance in black mini skirt and a light green, short-seleved knit top with black mary jane shoes
arrow My date was my dance partner from ballroom dancing class
arrow The theme was Techno 2000
arrow We ate at a steakhouse, which impressed all the other guys wishing either I had asked them, their dates had done better, or that they had said yes to me asking them.
arrow My date left me doing Mambo #5 with other people from ballroom dance class saying "I have to use the restroom; I'll be right back."
arrow Meeting up at the dance location (the school...how retarded is that?) in two separate cars and leaving in two separate cars.
And that's really about all I remember. I'll see if I can find any pictures to post, but I don't think I have any that aren't in a scrapbook somewhere in my basement or bedroom. confused

I don't remember the details of my junior prom, but I took a friend who was a girl. It was a lot of fun going with no males.
My senior year the theme was "Wonderful Tonight" which I actually like Clapton and I wore a cheongsam.

Our theme was "A Moment Like This," as in Kelly Clarkson. stressed They played it, like, ten times that night. Ew I am so sorry. The only thing that always irked me about proms was the souveniers. 90% at our school it was a champagne flute and then they'd ask you to sign a no drink and drive pledge? sweatdrop

We had the same thing. They also gave us gift bags with mints, wetnaps, chocolate and such. O_o Also: You look great in that picture!

Yeah they had us sign one of those too, but then as "senior gifts" we all got wine glasses and beer mugs. sweatdrop
Really over all I do believe that I did have a few good moments at my prom...watching my friend slap her ex-boyfriend was most likely the highlight rofl um...after prom was more fun really cuz I ended up ditching my original ride home (the guy who dumped me during the last 15 mins of the dance) to go out with my friends to the After Prom at the bowling alley where we spent most of it in line waiting for a physic lol then afterwards we drove around town till we got to some place where we all could watch the sun rise...right before it got nasty out all cloudy and rain. ^_^

I never went to any school dances. I wouldn't have gone to the prom if you'd paid me. Besides which, my senior year was the year that Titanic came out, so "My Heart Will Go On" was the song, which I also had to sing for graduation, so by then the damn thing made me want to stab myself in the head with a fork. xd So I spent the night with my friends, playing Trivial Pursuit and MSTing Godzilla movies.

Screw it, the roll of film I shot that night was gift enough. Funny thing that your gifts were alcohol-related. We may not have gotten any gifts, but we didn't sign any pledges about staying sober! And anyway, I wasn't down with the booze back then, as it was all dirt-cheap beer and poorly mixed "jungle juice" back at those parties.

Hehe, what are you doing standing in front of MY fireplace? xd Nice hey, I always liked that fireplace in my parents' house. I have a lot of pictures of me in front of it. When Joe (that's the escort in my picture - also my husband) gets back from working over seas I'll post a 25 years later photo of us

I went to my then boyfriend's Senior Prom my Junior year and we went to my Senior Prom the next year. I liked my dress better my junior year, it was a red ballgown with rhinestones that my mom made. To be honest now that we are getting a divorce I kinda wish I hadn't ruined my high scholl memories with him...he was such a wet noodle even then. I don't have pictures, he took them all.

I took a friend to her prom last year. The music was all rap, which I don't really care for. I had a black tux with a lavender vest and tie. I don't have the pics of us on photobucket or I would put them up here.
