I love these ornaments they had above their doors, the two huge wings. If you can draw or know somebody who can, you could put some "painted statures" next to the door to guard it, gods or goddesses. A friend of mine had a huge Eye of horus painted above her bed, I found that was a great idea.
Oh, the wings... You mean Heru-Behdety, the winged solar-disk? I guess that's what they would have used...
I think it would be a wonderful symbol to have in your room... Here's a description of Heru-Behdety:
