kay so we don't even have any seniors to keep order with ours.... but these are the rules we TRY to at least keep in check... there is only me and a nother 10th grader,,,
1. if you have drama in guard, TAKE CARE OF IT OUT OF PRATICE . 2.keep eliglble with the school(grades) 3. keep your flags and weapons taped and in proper order , or you get laps.... 4. make sure you have your dot book in outdoor, or more laps...
5. while we don't frown on PDA, keep it to a medium when the band parents are around SO NO RULES ARE MADE.
6.we really don't care what you waer to pratice, as long ans nothing flying out, and there are no jeans in sight, unless you have a legitiment excuae ex. doctors or dentists appoitment....
7. if senyority is being used , which is isn't often, please follow it, and be kind and don't flaunt your spot in line at younger kids.

well in my guard the captain is only their to enforce the rules set by the director. Not to make their own rules. and I've never heard of a captain handing out a written rule chart, that seems a little harsh to me.

Rules:
If your late without informing one of the captains then its one lap around the football field or 20 pushups if inside.
Must wear school appropriate shirts and any shorts you want as long as you have spandex
Keep flages and poles taped at all times
keep grades up or no guard for you if you are a freshman ask for help as much as you need it but also remember during practice they must be seen and not heard
every one must count aloud
stretching before practice must be silent (cept for Fridays! Friday is story day)
if band does push-up, we must do push ups
no fighting amongst each other
AND NUMBER ONE RULE!
...
WE MAKE THE BAND LOOK GOOD BECAUSE WE ARE GOOD THEY MAKE US LOOK GOOD BECAUSE THAY ARE GOOD WE ARE EQUAL...THATS THAT

Always be at every practice, remember: YOU are the one who signed up for this
We wear black...only black
No spinning, talking, or goofing off while we are recieving instructions
When the upperclassmen say something, LISTEN
It's your equipment, treat it well or buy it yourself
15 minutes early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable
Those are the guard specific rules, we still have to add on the band rules once we're with them (i.e. games, contests)
