Mienai_Kizu Yes..I do agree that there is alot of sex...then again, about the sale...Laurell said that alot of guys wait in line for hours, not to get a book sign, but to thank her. Their wives/girlfriends have gotten a wild sexdrive because of those books...so I'm not sure... sweatdrop I've never heard that before!

Double_Sins Mienai_Kizu Yes..I do agree that there is alot of sex...then again, about the sale...Laurell said that alot of guys wait in line for hours, not to get a book sign, but to thank her. Their wives/girlfriends have gotten a wild sexdrive because of those books...so I'm not sure... sweatdrop I've never heard that before! Yeah, I thought it was really funny when I heard that.

I've never heard that either, but I can understand. Many people don't understand about S&M and parties like Anita has do deal with. So the books probably have opened some eyes wide!

I would say Narcissus in Chains is when it got really bad. I didn't mind the sex up until then. Then it just started taking away from the story. Anyone know when the paperback copy of Incubus Dreams comes out in America?

The sex really picked up in Narcissus in Chains with the whole ardeur thing. I had no problem with the sex she had in the books previous to that.
Sigh... I was the biggest Richard fan until LK trashed the character and made him psycho. She took what was there and made him into an extreme I don't think the original character wouldn't be compatible with.

LOL, ditto...I used to love Richard...even when he was a little pissed at Anita for going to Jean-Claude, but he cut his beautiful hair!!! I couldn't believe that...I still picture him with his shoulder-lenth hair...it's hard to imagine him without it. (I still have some love for Richard, but I think that him and Anita should just drop it and work together as at least friends...if not...then go into battle together then not see each other again until another problem arises and not let the marks go to waste.)

sweatdrop I used to have shoulder~lenth hair my girl used to love, 'till we broke up and I cut it short out of spite as well. Poor Richard... Why'd you have to suck so hard?
*cough* ...henyway.
Not to beat a dead horse, but the truth's the truth, NiC's when I started getting turned off by all the sex as well. All the books before it, it was good for the story, but yeah... Anita was never the NiC kind of girl, and all of a sudden, bam. She was. I hear her Gentry books are more along the same lines so I haven't picked 'em up. I didn't know Blake had a new book out, either. I'm a little aprehensive, but like most new things, I'm sure once I get over it, I'll get into it.

Personally I do think there is too much sex in the books..I don't mind some but I don't like the way alot of things are based on sex...I didn't like the way Anita cheated on Richard with Jean Claude..alot of things in the book seem to be based on Lust...
but maybe that's cause we have higher morals or something sweatdrop I prefer the older books in the series because the story line is much more entertainging without the sex involved sweatdrop I think she spoiled the books by adding more sex into it

Personally there wasn't much in the other books that I've noticed. I did notice that just about every other page in Incubus Dreams was sex and I think that's the reason for the title of the book. All the Books have a reason for their titles. Obisdian Butterfly was the vampire chic. Killing Dance talked about the wolf pack's festish about blood in their sex. Incubus Dreams, clearly states Sex in the book. o.O Incubus. basically something that feeds on sex to stay alive....

Can everyone agree that the sex also has a very shitty plot cover? I kinda wish that the seires would just like in the next book because of all this crap. Sex is okay, but when it takes away from the plot, someone needs to be shot.

Up until Narcissus In Chains I could deal with the sex, but then it started to damage the storyline. Cerulian Sins had its moments but I liked the book overall. Incubus Dreams was horrible. I'm glad Anita came to terms with her shagging multiple partners, but damn, I didn't even know there were physical changes to Anita's appearence til the end of the book, or who the hell most the new characters were. There was no set up to it. It was just sex sex sex zombie raising sex sex murder to solve sex sex sex slight relationship issues sex sex vampire politics sex ********.

It was over 5 hunderd pages.
