the others are just using kate so they could make jack and sawyer do things. like to keep sawyer in place b/c he needs to be with kate and jack to do the surgery
and about her climbin out, it didnt really matter cus she didnt have anywhere to go

The survivors underestimated the others once when they believed they all lived in straw huts. Obviously, it would be wise not to underestimate them again.

Well, it's locked... And she's super skinny... It was normally a bear cage so no bear could've climbed out. I don't think they really thought about it. But yeah, she wouldn't leave without Sawyer. And the Others really have no use for Kate and Sawyer, just to use against Jack...and everyone else.

lyrahallia I think they made it so that Kate could get out, so she would go see Sawyer. And Jack would find out and do the surgery... That's what happened.. he saw (white coming up) them have teh sex! or well.. he saw them naked after it
