Yes it is Lolita, I have the Manga (All of two xD)
She fits into the style completely, I can't find an aspect in which she wouldn't.

I have the first manga and I'd say that Cossette's clothing is definitely modeled after the same clothing Lolita is modeled after (victorian, roccoco, etc.) It might not follow Lolita rules strictly but whatever. razz

P.S. I HATE how the Cossette's upside-down, I always hold the book wrong! crying

I read about this in Newtype Magazine and bought it. When I watched it, I was very happy to see such lovely outfits. They reminded me of lolita, but they are from a period where that style was common. Still, I can call them lolita, right? Rather, I can call them my lolita inspiration. I actually didn't know how much pretty lolita would be in it, then I bought it. I bought it, because I'd just finished reading Les Miserables for a class a couple months before. Seeing the name Cossette made me think of te character in the book, whom I loved, and I wanted to check it out. I really enjoyed the plot of this OVA. I really like gothic horror series with pretty art, like this one and Petshop of Horrors!

Isn't Le Portrait de Petite Cosette is based off of Les Miserables? Or am I thinking of Shojo Cosette?
