cosmic_sheridan Unvanquished My friends and I make it a montly ritual to enter the tournament in our area together in the solos bracket. Usually, we all occupy the top 4... Except this one time when PC Chris showed up in town. Got our asses handed to us sweatdrop I rank myself as an ameteur; I'm not good enough to be considered Pro yet. What I look forward to though, is the online mode, not just so I can learn from the real pros, but so I can feel all manly when I beat all the 11 year olds that think they can play xd Same here. I rely on tricky movements and dodges with a Pikachu. 15 minute melee I have mastered, I just have to do cruel melee. And I have never been to a tournament before. I can't afford to travel. To put it quite simple, you're only diminishing your playstyle by training on CPUs. They move unnatural compared to an actual player and give you bad habits.

Im sick of all those fancy teqnuiqes. Theyre gay as hell, I fight with Link and can get to about 35 on Cruel Melee, and easily take out 3 nines on a team aginst me.

Yeah that's pretty much a n00b post there, and besides, 35 is nothing in cruel melee, the record is 2100 with Pikachu.

im no noob but im also not at the pro lvl either but one thing i do know is that u dont need to know how to beat comps to be good, i know for a fact i dont stand a chance against 3 lvl 9s but i also know for a fact that humans play nothing like lvl 9s and humans are much easier to trick with mind games, i suppose it all depends on how u play under pressure cuz some ppl get nervous while at a high percent and play more cautious while i tend to rush in more so that i dont let them get another chance to attack
by the way wats a shdl? short hop down l????

Short Hop Double Laser. You can only do it with Fox and is extremely hard to do.

They jmp around so much... stare I'd have gotten myself killed so fast...I think. Oh well, to each his own. I probably suck, to state it harshly. I don't care. If I fight online, I will play and lose and laugh at how much I stink.
At least I can beat my friends, sister, and godbrothers! sweatdrop But they aren't that good either, so maybe I'm just kidding myself.
If you see me playing online in the future, know that I am really inexperienced, but don't underestimate me--I'm still dangerous, and I've been dubbed a Combo Cheater. mad D It's the best I could do.

I need to play against some of the guys at school. There are my godbrothers, yes, but they aren't here often. Plus, I kinda know how they fight. With people at my school, it'll be a way to get better, even if it's only a little bit.

I believe that with the Online feature, there will be some definite lessons to n00bs who think they are all that. Its a good way to sperate the wannabe's from the skilled
Although I dont consider myself to be good, but im pretty sure I can handle online play

online play sounds like it would be awesome but there was a thread at smashboards that got me kinda scared bout it.... it mentioned all the issues it might have like lag (which could throw the whole game off) people disconnecting (wat would happen to the game) or disconnecting durin a grab, theres just too many things that could go wrong with it that it scares me
