ackim Zergdog now i got a lvl 82 mf sorce and all it ever finds r facets.... and 1 time a 20 maras... It has 450 mf using full tals (had 650 but took ist shako, isted baba, gold wrap, skullders and 34 mf ammys) only reason i took stuff off cause it kept dieing am i the only one without 20 ists? i never have the patience to countess run, cause i only find amn runes or lower, one time i found an um, but that's best i got....

It makes it so that all the MF you have first goes back to what you started with then goes LOWER so say you have +400% MF the first 300 drops then the next 100 is back to the begining so 100-100= Crapy magic find. It happened to my friend who had about 1k+MF and the rarest thing he found was an El rune and some Gold in 15 of his Baal runs.

I am a rather avid MFer with my sorc, and this is what I've put together.
MFing can be as effective in hell as in nitemare depending on what you're looking for.
NM Andy - Pitiful, BUT probably has best chance to get SOJs from, Andy is always the one to MF for jewelry.
NM Meph - Pitiful, only for the starting MFer to try and get a few things, good practice.
NM Pindle - GREAT for MF, I've always found my Travs and Chances through him.
NM Baal - Good for MF, if you're having trouble MFing hell, I recommend you do solo baal MFs for the exp AND for his drops, rather fond of dropping things like Jalal's, Occy, Skullders(I hear).
Hell Andy - Crappy compared to Hell meph, but once again, better shot at dropping jewelry items it seems.
Hell Meph - THE guy to MF, he drops the most items, has higher chance to drop rare and set items, and has a high iLvl drop percent.
"Harrogath's Big Four" as I call them. Pindle, Eldrict, Shenk, Thresh Socket. These guys have iLvls higher than even Hell Baal, and while they rarely drop uniques and sets, and ever more rare, drop good ones, they have a shot at dropping some down right uber sexy things. Tyrael's Might anyone?
The Pit. Ok, for this one is left purely for taste but I think it's worth it. The Pit's monsters have a higher chance to drop higher level items, this is the spot to not only try and MFs unique monsters, it's GREAT for MF barbs to just plow through and then hork up some stuff. Also, since there's a high item level drop, anything socketed is likely to be better, the spot to hunt for that lovely 3os Superior 15% Dusk Shroud.
MF Builds, I recommend Sorces or Hammerdins.
Little tidbit "Myth" I've seen, is my sorc has far far far fewer runes drop than my hammerdin, and alot of people are buying into the belief that MF%s, seem to "repell" the dropping of runes. Maybe true, maybe not, but I don't find squat for runes with my MF sorc.

Another good tip for starting MFers.
Don't aim for super high MF %s, here, let's look at it this way.
You wear Skullders, great MF, but then say, 3os helm, topazes, 4ist monarch shield, Isted 6os phase blade, travs, chances, nagels, and go for like, 800% MF, that's great, now, go kill something. What, ok, takes you 10 minutes to kill Hell Meph, you get your drop, decent maybe, try again.
Now, take my Sorc. 197% Eth Upped Skullders (2200+ def baby, my love) with P topaz, rare gloves with res and MF, Travs, Shako, Ist'd Occy, Spirit Monarch, tal belt and ammy, and a few charms, I swing 350MF, and can do a Meph run every minute on the button pretty much. Honestly, I think 10 Meph drops with 350 MF will pay of better than 1 Meph drop with 800 MF.
