As far as a horrible dub goes i would have to say that Tokyo Pop did one hell of a bad job on Initial D. but as far as butchering an anime goes i don't think it would be easy to top CCS

Oh, man.... You've shouldn't see what they done to One Piece and SonicX... In One Piece, They got rid of the blood, cut out the deaths, changed Sanjii's cicgaret to a lollypop, they also change alcohol into juice, they've turned black people into white. They made a crappy rap theme song, and they changed real weapons into shitty super soakers and hammers on a trigger!!! Also in SonicX, They got the most shittiest VAs!!! And now there voicing in the future sonic games!!! They also changed bars into restrants, If all the Rouge fanboys are wondering are her boobs will look like in the dub version, Her boobs are gone(sorry Rouge fanboys), They have refused the best and real heart and soul of sonic the hedgehog, Ryan Drummond. He was best for sonic untill he and the other old VAs got fired. I'm a REALLY big sonamy fan. But, They buchered out my fav. part.

In junior high and high school, when I was young and naive, I would have said "Sailor Moon," but for all the changes they ever made, the spirit of the show shined through. Then came Nelvana, reborn (since the early 90's) into a destroyer of all I once held dear. I had not seen CCS raw or fansubbed, but one look at "CardCaptors" told me something was terribly wrong. In a desperate attempt to retool a show originally aimed at young girls into an action-packed boys' series, Sakura got the short end of the stick. Episodes revolving exclusively around her were either cut or shown very rarely, but Nelvana was effectively crippling the series through doing so. The executives at Nelvana realized too late not only that Sakura adventured alone or with Tomoyo in most of the episodes, but Li Shaoran served as more of a supporting character, and *GASP* a love interest for Sakura! And that, (mercy me!) the series ends with her collecting all the cards, and resolving to declare her love for Shaoran when they next meet! Since Nelvana's suits recoiled in terror from the thought of a girl, rather than a boy, receiving cool magical card-powers, and the boy actually falling in love with that girl, they gave up the dubbing rights after "finishing" (meaning, dubbing about 36 episodes of) the series. The second movie "CCS The Movie II, the Sealed Card," ends the series on a high note and has a much more competent dub, thanks to Geneon.
