That would be totally awesome, but I think Smash Bros deserves a bigger screen than the DS, no offense...
If anything, I'd love to hook it up to an I-Max screen. whee Oh, the fun I would have...

Amargana That would be totally awesome, but I think Smash Bros deserves a bigger screen than the DS, no offense... If anything, I'd love to hook it up to an I-Max screen. whee Oh, the fun I would have... SSBM on an I-Max screen would be godly! I would love to go blind that way, Tel-Jilad Squirrel NO! THAT IS BLASPHEMY! BLASPHEMY, BLASPHEMY, BLASPHEMY! May the wrath of our almighty god, Shigeru Miyamoto, rain upon your head like 128 tiny Marios! dramallama.gif Sorry, couldn't help but be a bit over dramatic..... First of all, DS is not lame...DS is fun, innovative, and just plain awesome....the PSP is an overpriced, souped up MP3 player that can't even play games worth crap..but this isn't a system war thread, so I won't bark up that tree.... A DS version of Smash Brothers would be awesome! I mean, think about it...they made a port of Super Mario 64 to the DS, a 64 game and they managed to easily translate the controls.....and the first Super Smash Bros was for the 64, so control wouldn't be a problem...they would just use the buttons and the D-Pad....and maybe the bottom screen could be use for some cool new, advanced techniques? I mean, look at it this way. D-Pad= Movement A= Normal Attacks B= Special Attacks X= Jump Button Y= Grab/ Throw Items L and R= Sheild Start= Pause Select= Taunt As for the touch screen, they could use it to preform new, special advance techniques, or maybe it could just show fight stats, like Stock remaining, your score, like the different Bonuses you get that they show you at the end of the fight, which it could show you as you get them, and other stuff like that. I'm just saying a Super Smash Brothers for the DS is very possible ^_^ With the controls you said I could easily see a Super Smash for the DS. Also special moves on the touch screen wouldn't work, too confusing to do that.Though it could just show the stats, stock remaining, time left, current points, max combo, and percentage.

If anyone can pull it off, it's Nintendo. There's also the L and R buttons that can be used with another button for combos or smashes.

Hot_ArmS itd be hard to move around quick with the d pad, not to mention how are you supposed to do tilts with the d pad arrow It'd be hard to move around quick with the d-pad You'd get used to it. Sure it wouldn't be as fluid, but you could get used to it enough to move fast, I'm sure. arrow How are you supposed to do titles with the d-pad? Hold the d-pad for tilts, double tap for hard presses (like dashing).
