Cwen met Larisha's eyes and smiled curtly. The noble did not really like the peasant's tone of voice. "What does it matter to you?" she replied in an impassive voice.
The noble looked the girl over. One glance gave the girl away as a peasant. The girl's high ponytail didn't even seem properly taken care of. And most apparently from the girl's tone of speech, nothing of manners had seemed to be of concern to the peasant.
Besides, it was unladylike to tumble off a couch...not that Cwen herself hadn't done it before...

Smiling at the girl's enthusiasm Kat smiled and nodded. "Yes it is amazing isn't it?" She murmured, sitting down in the armchair ans straightening her skirts mildy. Turning to Addie eyes equally excited she gushed "Did you hear? The radio reciever recieved a transmission! It would be more than wonderful if I could ever make such a thing." Frowning slighlty she conffessed "But I always do seem to loose things."
Glancing over to the other side of the Room Kat noticed Larisha was functionning, and seemed to be interrogating some new girl. Well, technically they were all new here, but this girl was new in that she had just entered the room. Idly Kat let her eyes roam the room and they fell upon the clock. The hands were already past the time the ball was to start. "Addie, are you going to the ball tonight? If so I believe we are already late!"

Addie nodded excitedly when Kat told her about the radio. "Oh yes yes! I've heard about it from my--" She stopped as soon as she had said 'my' for she had almost said 'my peasants' but she had sworn not to tell anyone about her royal heritage and so she corrected herself. "from the people around my village!" A lighter smile appeared on her lips.
At the mention of the ball, Addie gasped and looked at the clock. "Oh my! I do believe you are correct... Shall we get ready then?" she asked Kat and got up, nodding. "I am positive I packed something just for this kind of occasion!" clapping her two hands together excitedly. Her eyes were sparkling once again and the thought of a ball. She had always loved dancing...

Larisha stared at the noble, hands falling to her hips, cocking her head in a challenging manner. The moment passed, however, and whatever he decided to do was replaced by a bout of laughter.
"Well! I had no idea it was still being held! When I passed by earlier it seemed to be empty." She tried being as regal as she could, suddenly changing her tactic. Larisha did a quick curtsy- mostly because she knew she couldn't balance- and mirrored Cwen's curt nod.
"M'name's Larisha Madzelan. I'm going ahead to the dance, and if any of you-" she nodded at the other two girls in the room, "-wish to join me, I'll be waiting.
She took another bow and swept towards the door, and once out of sight of the other girls Larisha punched the wall. It was scary how well she could impersonate her sister sometimes... she receded this thought and resumed her walk down the stairs.

"Indeed!I heard it is Midsummer Night's dream themed! I can't wait to see your costume!" cried Kat, equally excited. "Pleasure to meet you Addie. And I shall see you at the ball!" Clasping the other girl's hands she said a hurried goodbye and then rushed from the room, to her dormitory for she did not want to miss any of the ball!

Addie smiled and turned to leave also. Upon leaving the room, she nodded to the other remaining girls and smiled to herself as she thought of her costume. Surely she could make a few adjustments to make it appropriate... She hummed lightly as she stepped out of the room and went back to her room.

Cwen scoffed silently to herself. It wouldn't do not to go to the event. She sighed. The Larisha girl was a bomb ready to blow up anytime. Hmph. To the party she would go... to scope out what sort of university this really was. She nodded her head to the others and headed off to her room.

Strange. Girls were heading back to the dorm already. Was the masquerade ended?
"Excuse me," Cwen asked one of the girls.
"It's over because of some fight," the girl replied and walked on.
"Oh!" Cwen blinked. "Strange."
