Chapter Fourteen
An Unknown Life
Characters
Libby, Eko, Ana, Emma, Zack, Bernard, And Nathan
Libby was sleeping when she heard movement from Eko. She opened her eyes slowly when she saw a dazed Eko standing to his feet. She sat up and looked over at the kids then Bernard. "Are you alright?" Libby asked walkign toward him. He stumbled and Libby grabbed him, helpinghim maintan his balance.
"I think so." Eko replied to her question. He wasn't too sure though. he looke down and saw Ana still passed out. "How long has it been?" Eko asked curiously. He had his arm around her neck as she helped him.
"Only about an three hours or more." She replied.
"Are they here?" Eko asked. "The Others?"
"No." Libby replied. "They didn't even come here once. They just scared us and the kids."
Eko looked at Ana and back to Libby. "We have to get away from this place." Eko said. "We ave to find the othr survivours we allk hear the call from yesterday." Eko then waited for Libb's reaction hoping for support but preparing to be disappointed.
Libby nodded. "Alrigth. Ok." She said. "So how are we going to go throught the jungle with the kids?' Libby asked.
"We are taking the beach when Ana wakes up. We will only cut through the jungle if needed." Eko replied.
Libby nodded. "Alright." She looked at Ana then Eko. "What about Nathan And Cidney?" Libby asked.
"We can't do anything about them." Eko replied. "They are gone for now."
Libby nodded. "Alright." She paused as she sat down and looked at the kids. It was still late that night. She thought that they should atleast wait until morning. Eko agreed to this. It wasstrange having Eko talk she was woundering why he hadn't talked until now.
****The Next Day****
Ana had woken up eventually as well everyone else. Libby and EKo told them whatthey were goign to do. The kids grabbed there things, The blankets, pillows, and the teddy bear. Bernard took the radio and his weapon. Libby toke her weapon and a blanket. In the end everyone had enough supplies to survive a few days in the jungle. Ana had the food taht was left over. The six left the shelter and slowly made there way to the beach. It was bright out side. The group eventually reached the beach. Everyone was alerted and ready. They listened at every sound. Noting but waves though. Maybe they could get away with this. Eko was leading this group with Ana and Libby was with the kids inbetween Ana and Eko and then Bernard. They wanted the kids to be safe atleast. As they walked they heard one sound from in the jungle. it was comign at them. Everyone got ready and Libby back up with the kids. As they waited for someone to come out of the jungle Libby just watched as teh waves barley touched her shoes. She looked at the jungle. She saw someone and held the kids tighter. "Help Me!" Was shouted though it was a mans voice. Everyone lowerd there weapons as they saw Nathan fall out of the jungle and had cloth around his mouth and his hands tiedup. "Help!" he shouted.
Libby staied back with the kids as everyone else rushed to help Nathan. "What happened?" Bernard asked him as he untied his hands. Ana took the cloth out pf his mouth and they dropped everything on the beach. Eko looked at nathan he seemed scared and worried. "Where's Cidney? Is she alrigth?" Bernards questions were going through Nathan's mind.
Nathn looked at everyone. "I'm fien and they have Cidney but shes alrigth too. I escaped. They left me alon for one secpnd and I ran. So we have to hurry." nathan paused. "Otherwise we are going right back there." Libby listened to Nathans words. She started to walk againa dn everyone got bak in poistion. Now Bernard And Nathan behind her.
Libby was so unsure of this desision, she felt like she didn't know her self anymore because she agreed. Maybe this was a bad idea. Everything about her seemed unlike her.
She was changing, and it wasn't little changes they were big ones. She seemed to be more adventuerous when she used to be shy and to her self. No one knew her though so her life was really unknown to the group.
She had her hands on each kids shoulder. She countinued to walk along the beach as they made there way to hopfully help. Even if something abd happened all this would fall onto Eko, overall it was his decision Libby just agreed.
