How do you use 'and' in a sentence... unless I have skipped over it, I didn't see it sweatdrop

I know I saw 'is also' but does it work the same way? And what is 'ga'??

how do you know what is writen in a setence were there are only squares and- "㻡;,;" and things like that???

i saw an anime were there was a girl writing a message in a cellphone, and there were those "㮮.". i dont get it!! xp

They use Hiragana, Kanji and Katakana

Hiragana is the alphabet for original japanese words (more like syllables)
Katakana is for foreign words.
And Kanji is the really complex one that comes from chinese characters.

Let's say if you wanted to write your name you would use katakana, if a japanese person wanted to write his/her name thay would use Kanji or hiragana.
^_^

you see those weird squares because you haven't got the japanese font enabled in your comp. There is a "guide" around here where it explains how to enable it ^_^

Hope that was of help wink

and if you wanted to intorduce someone to another person, you would use kochira instead of kore. so it would be "Kochira was Sumisu-san desu." This is Mr. Smith.

kochira is used in place of kore for animals as well, not just people.

Perhaps you should tell how to say each character...

a- Ah
i - Eek (Ee part)
u - foo (oo part)
e - eh
o - oh

Ka- Well...It's hard to mess this one up.
Ki - Key
Ku - Koo
Ke - keh
ko - Mess this one up, I dare you.

Ta - tah
chi - =/
tsu - Once again... =/
te - teh
to - toe

Ect. ect.
