lol Me and my friend just got done playing. If you are playing with items than you are only improving your reaction time. Use items for fun thats about it. In torunaments you wont play with items.

I find fighting humans helps you more than computers because computers can be very predictable...

i have a simple answer to this, yes. computer characters CAN help you improve your game...to a limit. like, say you can beat 3 level 9 cpus while your at 5 handicap, then computer characters aren't gonna help too much.

I can beat 2 on a team, 3 with no teams. I have no doubt that playing against people is better for getting skilled than playing against the computer, too bad I don't know anyone who plays AND is actually as good or better than me in the game... I so hope Brawl is online, if it isn't, I'll cry.

pfffft comps. are wayy too easy to kill i faced 3 level 9 comps of all characters and i pwn them easily with fox or samus

Anyone of Marginal skill can win Vs. Three level nines. The AI of the CPU in melee has weaknesses that can be expoilted (Like the Jigglypuff in event 51 trick.)

It just depends on what you think. Just recently, our school had a teams and singles tournament and I owned everyone cool . It was because I trained with coms and everyone acted like a com, they all did Falco's throw-down + B-down and Pikachu's thunder the whole way. Personally, I would have to say kinda but it depends on the situation.

Mr. Lionheart the problem with humans basically is i hate playing with people that won't stop yelling in my ear and teaming up on me, and having a fricken big ego true but if you really want to test your self try 3 links teamed up with no items on battlefield its not that hard but seems like it at the beginning but ya all the cpu's are not hard

I've (just barely) beaten 3 level nines, but not when they're ganged up on me. sweatdrop Computers are too easy, but you should practice at lest once in a while with three computers so you're not adjusted to only 1-on-1 matches. Cuz in a free-for-all, you'll get your butt whupped. 3nodding
Your SCHOOL has a Smash Bros. tournament!?! eek How do I transfer? xp

Ive beaten 3 foxs teamed up against me...
but then again each one killed themselves like 2 times sweatdrop
