Narnia tries to relax. She feels Anita's energy searching her own. She tries to not respond to quickly with her power, but she knows Anita will be able to get a taste of her power whether she wants her to or not.
Marianne has pack problems she is having to deal with. There is a rogue werewolf that has been causing problems with their clan. All her time and energy is focused right now on helping Verne.
She knew you would be suspicious so she told me to tell you that I know she had you brush Nathaniel's hair, to begin to bond with him and the pard.

Nathaniel nodded silently and slowly turned as he started the approach the door to the Circus, although he was certain that before his hand would rest upon the doorknob that it would enter and Jean Claude would emerge. He had to admit that the vampire did have style. As he neared the door, he smiled as he heard the witches words. He remembered that.

(OOC: ^^; hey ya'll. Er. I suffered a burn yesterday at work (200 degree water on my main hand sweatdrop ) and it's very...hard for me to type pure left handed with my right in a bowl of ice water. So, while I'm still playing Jean-Claude, if you need to use him, free feel to use him in anyway ( sweatdrop I like this way better, instead of typing two sentences and being done. But maybe that and one-on-one's are the only way I've been taught.
'Nother OOC: Err...that fanfic will be coming later...x.x I can't finish typing it....)
Jean-Claude opened the door from the inside, greeting the cool nights air with a clam face. He needn't worry about Anita, never about Anita. But he was worried, almost. A stranger had come into his turf, his domain, even if she wasn't a vampire. He already mistrusted, for she was an unknown, and trusting unknowns will cause you your life. "Nathaniel," he greeted the younger wereleopard, staring into his beautiful liliac eyes. "What brings you and ma petite? to my doorway?" The vampires eyes moved from the young face of Nathaniel to across the parking lot, lingering on the two women who stood talking.

Eyes slightly widen at mention of her "bonding" with Nathaniel but quickly shakes it off. She had to be lying.
Okay, look. I can understand the werewolf problem but she would have called or let me know in some metaphysical way!
feels a chill run up her spine. Jean-Claude was there...and he was...worried? No, he would never call it worry. He would call it...caution maybe, suspicion perhaps, but not...worry. A small smile graced her lips, but her eyes stayed trained on Narnia, her power jumping all over her skin.
Ok, lets say I believe your story...what then?

"Entertainment purposes..." Nathaniel murmered without much thought in answer to Jean Claude's query. He gave a quick smile and turned his head to look back at Anita and the witch, he was curious but he was glad he was standing by the vampire.

She can feel Jean-Claude in her head. He was swimming, whispering...she heard his whispers deepen as he spoke to Nathaniel but she knew he had never taken his eyes off her. She just knew.

Narnia was getting tired of being this tense. Her spine was strumming from the energy it was taking to control herself. She was very nervous and Anita's power pushing against hers was making her very edgy.
Look I understand you are wary, I don't know why Marianne didn't contact you. All I know is you are in danger. I am just going to cut to the chase. There is a wereleopard pard from southern Tennessee that has a group of witches working with them. Their leader has heard of you and Micah and how you have combined pards and power. There are rumors between several pards in Tennessee and Kentucky that you are trying to branch out.
One of the members and one of the witches were both former lovers of Gabriel, your pard's old leader. They were very pissed that you killed him and it was easy for them to convince their leader that the rumors were true. Especially since you went down to Tennessee and got involved with the wolves there.
They are trying to mount a group of assassins between the witches and wereleopards from Tennessee and Kentucky to figure out a way to take you and Micah out, your whole pard is in danger, and probably anyone who stands with you.
I know your vampire lover is waiting inside and can hear me. I also know that he can tell whether or not I am lying. Honestly you have me scared to death and I am just trying to help you. I can't take being this scared anymore and my power is strumming to be let loose. So believe me or not, it is your choice. At this point I can't hold on to my energy anymore. Your power is speaking to me, and I have been trying to control myself, but your open animosity is making my power jumpy.
If you aren't going to believe me, then I am going to walk away. I can't stay here and control myself when your power is pounding over mine. So please make a decision one way or another.
Narnia knew she was taking a terrible risk being so blunt and harsh with Anita, but she also knew that Anita respected people who were straightforward because that is how Anita herself was. Narnia was hoping Anita respected her bluntness more than resented it.

She could feel Jean-Claude, and though he was worried, oops, I mean suspicious, she could tell that she was telling the truth. She sighed, before lowering her Browning. Not putting it away, but lowering it. Alright, Narnia. I believe you. So there's this big bad leopard pard that wants to kill me and Micah, right? And will kill anyone associated with me? Even the wolves and vampires? She paused, trying to let up on her power. She suddenly felt a cool wind at her back. It absorbed some of her power, calming her. Damian. ((I don't know if there is a Damian, but I just mentioned his name, that's it.))

Narnia let out her breath and tried to ease up on her power. She let her power flow out into the night air and be released. She could breath more freely now that some of the tension was gone out of the necromancer. She knew she still had to tread lightly, but at least it was a start.
I don't know that much more than you do now. I have told you pretty much everything that Marianne and I discussed. All I know is that she thought you could use my help. I think we should have a meeting with your pard and as much of the pack as we can muster. I don't have connections with any lycanthropes the way you and Marianne do, so I really don't have a way to find out anything.
I was hoping you could use your connections to research and see if any of the local weres, or even the vampires had heard anything. Jean-Claude is by far the most powerful Master of the City within the surrounding areas and I had hoped he might be able to come up with some information from all of his connections.
No matter what though, consider me here for the duration. I will aid you anyway I can. My power is at your disposal.
Narnia did a small bow of her head and then met the necromancer's eyes.

Jean-Claude kept his face in a perfect mask, impassiveness at his best. With a hand on Nathaniel's elbow, the vampire steered the submissive man back towards the women, Jason at his trail. "Ma petite," he interrupted, his lips curved into a wonderful smile, his midnight blue eyes blank. If you were powerful not to stare into his eyes, emotions would not be seen. Only the image of yourself, reflected back towards you. "Ma petite I do not mean to interrupt you but.." he trailed off, his gaze falling upon Narnia. He needed Anita to introduce them, to tell him some type of infomation on this stranger. Politics to be dealt with.
(OOC: O.o wow that sucked. o.O I think I lost all my writing skill. Oh well XD Ignore it if it doesn't fit. Oh and thanks to those concerned about my hand! biggrin And thank you for the PM Narniakat! *huggles* crying I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get back to you)

Narnia took another deep breath and turned her attention to the breathtaking vampire. She moved her body into a deep bow, slowly raising back up. She turned her face to greet the stoic vampire and said very calmly,
Jean-Claude, Master of the City of St. Louis, I humbly ask your forgiveness for my intrusion into your beautiful city without first asking your permission. My only thoughts were of the safety of Anita Blake, whom I understand you hold in the highest regard. I hope that fact alone allows your pardon for my intrusion.
I also came to warn you as well as Ms. Blake. Your relationship is well known, and even though I know you are a force to be reckoned with, it is always better to be forewarned of your enemies intentions. Please accept my warning and my apology, and know that my aid is yours for the asking.
((Coconut_Rei, I hope you are feeling better. I was very worried. sweatdrop ))

Anita watched the two, slightly put out by their formalities. She stepped back from the two, securing her browning in her holster, feeling silly with it out, but a wall of safety left her when the weapon was put away. Paranoid? Nah. "Jean-Claude, have you heard anything about this? About a pard trying to go against mine?" Worry laced her voice, as she never wanted anything to happen to her pard if she could stop it. She quickly met Nathaniel's eyes before taking a deep breath and controling her voice. She turned to the witch.
"Narnia, is there anything that can be done to prevent this?"

A sigh of relief slipped out of Narnia's mouth. She was so glad to release the tension she had been feeling trying to convince Anita to trust her.
Marianne said it was up to you how to handle the situation, because it is your a** on the line. My advice is to find out if any of your allies have heard anything. I think we should contact as many of the surrounding wereclans and try the diplomatic tact of ensuring them that the rumors are not true.
Unfortunately, it has been my experience that people are quicker to believe the rumors than the truth. I think we should contact all of your people and tell them to be on the lookout for any trouble, and then I think we should think about going on the offensive, instead of letting them come to you. I will help in anyway I can.
I have already contacted all of the witches I know in the surrounding areas and we are working on a protection plan for you and yours, unfortunately, the weres against you also have witches working with them.
((Hey you guys, I must tell you, this is the first RP I have ever really been into. I wasn't really sure if you all would think this was interesting and I don't want to disappoint or annoy anyone by this whole tangent. I was just trying to come up with an interesting way for my character to be in St. Louis and to have a reason to meet Anita. So if this doesn't seem interesting to you, please let me know and I will back off and let you guys change the plot direction. I don't really know what proper RP protocol is so I am just making it up as I go along. redface ))
