I hope they make movies of the rest of the books! I haven't read them for years, but absolutely loved them when I did!

Yes, they are planning on it, I believe. It was one of my favourite book series, as a child. Along with the Lord of the Rings series (and the hobbit) and Count bunula, amungst others. 3nodding

Did you ever see the Narnia series made by the BBC? I used to love that, though I always took issue with the fact that I didn't think the characters looked right! They weren't how I'd pictured them when I read the books!

Yes I did. I used to watch it all the time. I had it recorded on VHS.

Me too! I practically knew them by heart!

I'm not sure if I preferred the characters in the new movie because they fit with my mental image, or if it's just been so long that my mental image has faded -probably the latter...

Lucy in the movie didn't fit my mental image quite right. But I believe everyone is going to have their own inturpetation.

There was a cartoon for the series as well. I haven't seen it yet though.

With the price of admission these days, we wait for the DVD to come out. Or at the very least, wait for it to hit the dollar movie theater.

The last *new* movie or just the last one viewed?

Last viewed was Indiana jones and the Temple of Doom, well, because indiana jones is amazing.

The last film I saw in the cinema was Ice Age 2. It was good fun at the time, but I'm not going to rush out and buy it on DVD. Which brings me to...

I did go and see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and I did like it. I adored the books when I was little (although I thought "The Magician's Nephew" was the first one in the series) and couldn't help but compare it with the BBC version. I wasn't keen on the film version of the White Witch (too blonde)- the BBC version of her was more like how I visualised her, but I thought the Lucy in the film was closer to how she should be. The Lucy in the TV version just did not look right. My ideas of how the characters looked were based on the original illustrations (on the covers and inside) in the books I had.

For those of you that may be interested, I saw the BBC production of The Chronicles of Narnia on DVD at Target the other day. Looks like the complete set.
