Madness - I think I'm the only person on Gaia who has heard of this one, let alone likes it. It has nice art... All the images used in my profile came from this manga.

Why I like it? -
It does some things that I haven't really seen other manga do. In this case, it's get yaoi then toss in happy things like blood, violence, and a strong female character that's really great.

The only downside to this one is that it's not licensed (and probably wouldn't ever be based on what I see on store shelves.) Scanlations for this series is still ongoing.. probably about 1/2 way through the second of two volumes.

:O that sounds really interesting? who's the artist and where can I get it? ;D

My favorite Yaoi Manga would be

Desire- Toru is a shy and quiet student who has developed a special crush on his close friend Ryoji, the most popular member of the high school swim team. In front of Ryoji, Toru hides his feelings and acts as if he is just one of Ryoji's good friends, but in a moment out of the blue his world will be turned upside down as Ryoji will confess a secret desire for Toru. Dazzled, Toru can barely hide his excitement for Ryoji and quickly accepts his offer. As time passes, Toru's happiness begins to fade knowing that his affair with Ryoji was just a fling based out of Ryoji's sexual curiosity.

Toru, adamant about his feelings for Ryoji, confides in another one of his close friend, Kashiwazaki, about his dilemma. The two set off to devise a plan to test Ryoji's true intentions by faking a romantic relationship. Soon after, a frustrated and jealous Ryoji attempts to pry Toru out of the arms of Kashiwazaki. Is it just as they planned? Yeah! That is of course until Toru realizes Kashiwazaki wasn't really faking! How could he not have seen it coming?

Both Toru and Ryoji have hidden their feelings from each other in the past, but now they have discovered that they were not the only ones. Will Toru and Ryoji be reunited or will their true feelings for each other go unfulfilled?

Golden Cain- Shadows From The Past. Shun works very hard to live up to the memory of his older brother, even at the cost of his personal life. Suddenly, a beautiful stranger comes into his life and takes Shun on a ride down a dangerous road of love, loss, lust, guilt, passion and taboo! Shun craves excitement, and the stranger gives it to him... but at what cost?

Passion- Hikaru, a second year high school student, is obsessed with Shima, a male teacher. Surprisingly, Shima is not averse to the boy's affections. He even convinces Hikaru to study hard so that when he graduates, they would openly become lovers. However, Amamiya, an ex-lover of Shima, steps into the picture and tries to win him back.

Will Hikaru and Shima's passion prove great enough to hurdle all the obstacles stacked against them?

Selfish Love-BREAKING ALL THE RULES... Ryuya was only trying to finish his University courses when he caught the eye of the wealthy and gorgeous Orito. As President of the prestigious Honors Society, Orito has the right to handpick his assistant...and he's chosen Ryuya! Campus politics aren't the only things on Orito's mind, and Ryuya is shocked to discover that his newfound suitor always gets what he wants...

Skyscrapers Of Oz-Skyscrapers of Oz is standard soap opera yaoi, and if you happen to be in the mood for such fare, then Skyscrapers will leave you feeling satisfied. Row Takakura, the artist, has a very pleasant art style, with delightful clean line work.

The story centers around Mari Kudoh and his partner, Yoichi, who are "handymen". No job too big or too small. They'll walk your dog or they'll do darker work such as blackmail and surveilance.

The wife of a CEO contacts them. Seems her husband has a "boy toy" and she wants him run out of town. Mari's younger brother, Miyuki, happens to know the mark, a young man named Yu Kaito.

(As an aside, Miyuki and Yoichi are also lovers. This has very little to do with the plot, and this relationship seems to exist only to provide the reader with some gratuitous ? but not unpleasantly annoying or boring ? soft core sex scenes. They also tease Mari a lot about the fact that he's not seeing anybody.)

Mari sets out to tail Yu and ends up rescuing him from another group of men who seem intent on causing him some real physical harm. Ooops! You're not supposed to rescue the target.

I won't spoil the plot, which was well paced, and had a few nice reversals as well as a big revelation, but I will say that what made Skyscrapers of Oz a keeper is the way in which the relationship between Mari and Yu developed. I liked the nervousness, the hesitancy, and the genuine tenderness. I actually began to care enough for them to root for the relationship, and when it happened, the emotional payoff was pleasing.

Skyscrapers of Oz isn't anything groundbreakingly original (in fact it has several yaoi cliches in it), but if you want a yaoi story that isn't as spazmotic as Gravitation, or isn't the endless tease of Fake and is devoid of annoying, unfunny, "comic" characters, then this volume will be an enjoyable read. In terms of subject matter, it reminded me a bit of Banana Fish.

In fact, I'm a bit saddened that as far as I can tell, this isn't a series. I liked the characters of Mari and Yu, and am curious about what happens next in their lives.

Wild Rock-The main story is about Emba and Yuuen. They are both heirs to different warrior clans. Unfortunately, their clans have been long-time enemies, and because of that, Emba and Yuuen are destined to hate each other. But when they meet, it's love at first sight.

If I would describe this manga with just one word, it would be: HOT! It's a sweet story about forbidden love, and how love can conquer anything. It's mostly told from Yuuen's point of view... how he struggles between what's best for his clan, or what's best for himself. The sex scenes are really hot and, oh yeah, they're uncensored.

Both Emba (seme) and Yuuen (uke) are simply gorgeous (Kazusa draws the seme muscular and tall, while the uke is skinny and short). The only negative with the main story is that it is a little too short. Besides that, there is a bittersweet story about Emba and Yuuen's fathers (when they were young), Selem and Yuuni. There is also a shorter story that is set after the main story plus a one side short bonus story with an alternative end of the main story. Really funny!.

As if that weren't enough, there are some first sketches of Emba, Yuuen and Selem, plus an interesting aside, where Kazusa writes a summary to every story, telling the reader why she wrote it and what the idea of it was.
I forgot to add Little Butterfly and J-Boy to the list.

Discover new and veteran authors and artists whose work are not often seen in English, and enjoy others from popular yaoi creators including Naduki Koujima (Our Kingdom), Ken Homerun (Clan of the Nakagimis), Haruka Minami, Kana Mizuki, Kyushu Danji, Natsuho Shino and many more! This collection contains short stories and several spin-offs from currently serialized manga. If you want more "yaoi," then J-Boy by Biblos is for you!

Kojima seeks to befriend the class outcast, and soon learns of Nakahara’s troubled family life - of his uncaring, abusive father and mentally unstable mother. As Kojima yearns to somehow comfort Nakahara, he gradually becomes aware that his feelings for the other boy arise from more than mere sympathy. When Nakahara declares his own romantic feelings for Kojima, their relationship becomes one of sexual exploration as they face their first steps into adulthood together.

Artist is Kairi Shimotsuki. It's unlicensed, so I'm reading scanlations... and I can't tell you over Gaia where I getting that without risking myself getting banned and the guild getting in trouble as well.

Hi. There are many and extraordinary stories around the world of boy's love, and specially my favorite is Zetsuai. I recomend it. It's about the tormentous love of rock star Koji Nanjo and the sexy athlete and soccer's lover Takuto Izumi. How they finish together is narrated in the second part called Bronze. I love Minami Ozaki - sensei. She' s a godess for me.

Second I like Haru wo Daiteita, Its art is soo beautiful and the story is extraordinary. I love it. I like the story because they fight to keep their love safe against everyone and everybody.

Third, Viewfinder. I love Asami and Fei Long. They rock!

And other stories like Midare Somenichi, by Kodaka Kazuma and Confessions by Naora Bohno.

Another history I love is Wild Rock. I like it and recomend it. biggrin

Thank you and I would like to share more impressions with you my friends.

YAOI ROCKS FOREVER AND EVER! biggrin heart cheese_whine

[Rika the breeder, by Motoni modoru]
[I really don't know why I like it so much. It's kindof like a trainwreck - really horrific, but you still can't look away]
[It's not very popular, so I'll give it a little bio ^^]
[Um, basically, Hiro is going to a boarding school so he can understand why his brother hanged himself]
[All he's got to go on is that he wrote "Help me, Rika", like, 50 times in his diary]
[The school itself is scarily like a prison. There's this group called the salon who rule over all, and decide who is allowed to rape who, and such and from there it's sortof like a mystery about Hiro's brother and Rika - the school's "breeder" (I still don't know what a breeder is, they won't say XD)]
[It's seriously freaky, but somehow she manages it well.]

Tsuki no Mugen
Love Mode - This is perhaps my top favorite at the moment. (I'm assuming that this topic was meant for adult manga so this is the posting you will receive.) There are several couples relating to the Blue Boy club and it is interesting to see how their relationships connect to each other. It is not only funny but also heart-wrenchingly sad at times too.
I've read the entirety of Love Mode by Yuki Shimizu, and it's just an amazing story.

As Tsuki no Mugen said, it's about different couples that are in some way connected to the Blue Boy dating club (B&B as they call it sometimes). Since it has different couples, you get many of the different types of relationships of male/male love and the different reactions they each have to those relationships. It does have the graphic sex scenes, which are super yummy. The art at first is 'meh', but you can see the mangakas growing talent as the style gets better. It really does grow on you.

Supposedly, Takamiya and Izumi are the main characters, having the first story after all. Through a little (well, not so small) misunderstanding, they end up together. Izumi ends up being the young adult that tries to deny the relationship, but eventually falls for Taka. These two had the most sex scenes (and probably the most graphic) of all the other couples.

Naoya and Aoe, the owner of B&B, are the couple that seem to have the most "face" time though. Their story spans 4-and-a-half of the 11 novels, whereas, Izumi and Taka get like 1-and-a-half novels with extras (mostly sex scenes) in some of the other novels. I absolutely love Naoya, he's such a well-developed character. When Naoya gets hurt in front of Aoe (no thanks to Aoe's ex-girlfriend throwing a plastic flower pot over the balcony), Aoe ends up taking care of him. Naoya has the worst of luck (family's dead, his foster parents can't afford to keep paying off his family's debt, his apartment burns down, etc.), but all of that bad stuff makes him grow into a person that learns to support himself. So as Aoe and Naoya live together, Aoe eventually falls for the kid (he hates kids, but Naoya's different whee ). Their relationship is gradual and they eventually get into the sex stuff (unlike Taka and Izumi who did it immediately). I think that they have the hottest kisses though. Naoya doesn't deny his feelings at all and fully accepts how he feels about Aoe. Besides, Naoya actually grows through the series (both physically and mentally) from the awkward teenager to a friekin' gorgeous adult.

The other main couple is Kiichi, brother to Aoe, and Haruomi. Their relationship is hinted at in the beginning novels with small scenes of suggestive conversations and kisses. Kiichi pokes fun at his younger brother for falling for a kid. But Kiichi's a fun brother that toys with Naoya, too, taking him shopping for clothes and just generally teasing the living snot out of the couple. Kiichi and Haruomi's story is told much later in the story as it does a look in the past story about how they met for 2 volumes. It's a really sad story with Aoe and Kiichi's father being such an a**whole and all.

And then there's some other couples; most stories are about B&B hosts falling for their customer or vice versa. So in these stories most of the guys are aware of their sexuality and they just do it. xp Arashi and Izumi (the host at B&B, not Taka's Izumi; this is where the misunderstanding was) had a good falling in love story though. And the final volume is a look into Taka and Aoe's past, showing why they were sort of afraid to fall completely in love with another person (not anything between them, but there was someone in their past that they were both close to).

*goes to read Love Mode again*
