The Kōshudaihari name is one that was lost in history long ago. Once a clan of prominence, their name was one attributed to deep-rooted corruption after a former clan head was found to have been manipulating the political systems of their village. In the ensuing turmoil this caused, several members of the clan separated from the main branch and began their lives in exile. Over time, their population grew, but they chose to live monastically. The threat of Jashinism and the resurrection of the Juubi has led to some members of the clan returning to life as Shinobi to begin the work required to restore their clan's reputation. ▱▰▱
▰▰▰ Kemuriton:
Kemuriton [煙遁, lit. "Smoke Release"] is the once-thought-lost kekkei genkai of the Kōshudaihari clan. By utilizing their chakra to heat the oxygen in their lungs and convert the heated oxygen into chakra-rich smoke, they have mastered the ability to give semi-tangible mass to the smoke and utilize it to fulfill various needs. The process to produce this smoke causes great risk of harm to younger clan members, so they created specialized pipes called Kiseru. These Kiseru pipes act as a way to channel their chakra into the oxygen as they inhale and begin the heating and converting process before the oxygen makes its way into their lungs. This reduces the risk to their clan members, allowing them to begin learning to use their kekkei genkai at a much younger age.

This training teaches user's the process to heat and convert oxygen inhaled through their Kiseru pipe into chakra-rich smoke. This smoke, unlike that of tobacco products, poses no risk to the user's lungs or other organs.
▰ Hassuru [発する, lit. Exhale] | Rank E | Spiritual The first technique that is necessary to learn before one can begin truly utilizing Kemuriton techniques. Hassuru allows the user to exhale the smoke they create and give it a semi-solid form. This technique allows for simple constructs, no larger than the size of a basketball, and cannot form lethal objects (such as weaponry).
▰ Kakusareta jinbutsu [隠された人物, lit. Hidden Figure] | Rank D | Spiritual By exhaling a large quantity of smoke, the user is capable of creating a humanoid construct that is able to replicate any simple taijutsu techniques the user knows. This figure is given [1] action per post (including the post it is created in). Contact with this figure inflicts 1 tier of Dehydration. The humanoid figure is connected to the user's mouth by a trail of smoke, and severing this connection causes the figure to dissipate in the user's next post.
▰ Hatsuen Jū [発煙銃, lit. Smoking Gun] | Rank D | Spiritual The user inhales through their Kiseru pipe and uses their chakra to pressurize the smoke before exhaling it as a high-speed projectile at their target. On contact, this projectile bursts and leaves behind a lingering cloud approximately 5-feet in diameter (vertical and horizontal). Contact with the cloud left behind causes 1 tier of Dehydration. The lingering smoke dissipates after the user's next post.
▰ Hau Kusari [這う鎖, lit. Creeping Chain] | Rank C | Spiritual The user exhales a series of thin tendrils of smoke that begin racing along the ground towards the opponent. These tendrils shoot up towards the targets arms and legs and pull them to the ground, applying the Grappled status and binding them in place with an abnormal amount of force. These smoke-forged "chains" are connected to the user's mouth and severing this connection causes them to dissipate immediately.
▰ Shuryō Inu [狩猟犬, lit. Hunting Dogs] | Rank C | Spiritual After inhaling through their Kiseru pipe, the user exhales a large quantity of smoke. This smoke takes the form up to 3 large dogs (the exact breed is up to the user's preference). On the user's somatic or verbal cue, their constructed canine's begin "hunting" the chosen target. These hunting dogs have uncommonly sharp teeth and will aim to bite into their target. Each canine deals C rank damage. Opponents are given an additional defensive action for each dog beyond the first.
▰ Entotsu no Hai [煙突の肺, lit. Chimney Lungs] | Rank B | Training This training cannot be learned until the user has reached B rank body. Repeated use of Kemuriton technique's have conditioned the user's lungs to be able to heat and convert inhaled oxygen into smoke without the need for external tools. The user is able to produce smoke for Kemuriton technique's through breathing without the need for their Kiseru.
▰ Yūgeki-sen [遊撃戦, lit. Guerilla Tactics] | Rank B | Training The user has mastered the fine chakra control required to manipulate their Kemuriton techniques. They have learned to expand this control beyond smoke directly exhaled by their lungs, and can now manipulate lingering smoke in the area to form and execute Kemuriton techniques. Additionally, the user becomes immune to Dehydration that would be inflicted by their own technique's.
▰ Kitsuen-shitsu [喫煙室, lit. Smoking Room] | Rank A | Spiritual The user exhales a large quantity of smoke that spreads out along the ground, creating a 2-foot high blanket of chakra-rich smoke across the entire topic. This smoke does not cause the Dehydration status. Fuuton technique's are able to temporarily disperse this smoke, but it quickly returns to its place.
▰ Kyūsoku Hatsuen Jū [急速発煙銃, lit. Rapid Smoking Gun] | Rank A | Spiritual The user creates a large volume of smoke in their lungs and pressurizes it with their chakra. Upon exhaling, the user releases a barrage of dense projectiles (approximately 20). On contact, these projectiles violently burst, releasing a 10-foot wave of harsh concussive force and leaving behind a large cloud of smoke (5-foot diameter horizontally and vertically) per projectile. Contact with the projectiles themselves or the concussive force when they burst inflicts 1-tier of Trauma, while contact with the lingering cloud they leave behind inflicts tier 2 Dehydration. The lingering smoke dissipates after the user's next post.
▰ Damokuresu no Ken [ダモクレス の 剣, lit. Sword of Damocles] | Rank S+ | Spiritual The user forms a series of hand seals and releases a wave of chakra into the area around their body. The oxygen around them begins to heat and is converted into a massive quantity of smoke before rapidly rising into the air. As it rises, it produces more smoke and coalesces in the sky into the form of a gigantic sword hanging above the battlefield. In the following post, the sword crashes down, creating a 50-meter wide crater at the point of impact and releasing a 30-meter high wave of highly pressurized smoke throughout the entire topic. This smoke causes tier 4 Dehydration and tier 4 trauma to anyone caught in the wave.

First Class: Medical ▱▰▱ Maladies Physician → Shinobi of this discipline are experts in iryojutsu and are especially well-versed in afflictions. Their medical techniques cure all symptoms of status effects applied to the user, rather than where most of the techniques cure them one at a time. In addition, medical techniques which inflict a status may inflict three different applications of the status, rather than just one. The user's crafted poisons also carry this property. The shinobi also obtains 5 custom techniques for medical ninjutsu as well as a Medical Ninjutsu Keystone technique. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. Second Class: Bloodline ▱▰▱ Dual Ancestry → Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the bloodline attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Nindo: "Why would anyone want to be a ninja?" Personality: Riku comes off as having a bad attitude about most things and people. He mouths off, and sometimes even displays aggression towards people he doesn't take a liking to. This is largely a way to protect himself. He has a tendency to blame himself for every negative thing that happens, and he genuinely believes that everyone else blames him too. Holding everyone and everything at a distance through a foul exterior persona is his way of staving off the worst of any disappointment he thinks he may bring.
Riku doesn't want to be a ninja. In fact, he has spent a large deal of time in Tani actively avoiding becoming a shinobi. He still takes on missions, and has a functional Genin title within the village, but he never refers to himself as a shinobi, and will deny any remarks relating to his ninja-hood. Other than these few notes, he's a run-of-the-mill 15 year old.

Biography: Not much is known about Riku. His time within Tanigakure is relatively short, and during that time the only thing that's really been made apparent about who he is or what the last 14 years of his life were like is that he doesn't know anything. He has sent a year within the walls of the village. During that time he has shown an aptitude for ninjutsu, and enough natural talent to warrant making him a ninja, despite his protests.

First Class: Scholar ▱▰▱ Infinite Perception → Your specialty is more in sensory than in sealing or summoning. You are able to discover things such as demon chakra, or the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank from any active sensory technique. This discipline allows the user to be able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -2 rank reduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill so long as it was used within the range of the user’s sensory abilities. You can release yourself from genjutsu at one rank lower in kai chakra release but with no benefit in pain release. In addition, the user's sensory abilities are extended fifty feet per rank of the technique. As a master tracker, you can advance in the ninja hunter and special ops careers for half as many Oinin Butai and ANBU missions completed. Upon reaching Initiate in Oinin Butai, you gain the Eagle Eye perk innately so you can choose one other Oinin perk as well. When you use a sensory technique with jamming you can double the jamming effect, this ability applies to one technique per three posts. Second Class: Bloodline ▱▰▱ Dual Ancestry → Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the bloodline attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline. Dual Ancestry users do not have access to the implant system including the Genetic Palette personal attribute. If you use multiple techniques from both of your bloodlines in the same post without Korabo then those techniques are increased in effectiveness by one rank. This discipline cannot be taken with the Elemental Mastery discipline from Ninjutsu Class. ▱▰▱ Cross Class or Specialization: → Bloodline - Scholar: After training for five paragraphs, summoner creatures (custom or contract) are able to use Bloodline techniques that the Summoner has access to (up to the summon's highest unique technique rank). If the summoner is currently using a Summon gifted by their bloodline, this training time is negated. Also able to sense without any technique if someone has the same bloodline as the user within the topic. Gains a technique exclusive to this cross. Technique Name: Curse of the Family Technique Type: Sealing Technique Rank: B Technique Description: The user places a seal upon the ground. Any bloodline the user has cannot be accessed by any opponent which is in contact on the same surface as the user has touched. If this technique is used on the opponent themselves then they lose access to any bloodline the user has. Last until the fight is over or until a counter seal is used.

Shioyama Temple (塩の山, Salt Mountain) is the largest Tenryu Shinko and Ninshu temple in all of Zaishin. It sits on the peak of the Shioyama Mountain which straddles the warm mountainous border between the Iron Country and the Waterfall Country. The mountain is filled with salt mines and resources. The temple is dedicated to Tenryu Shinko and the samurai branch of Earth Ninshu. In the center of the temple itself is a large pillar of blessed salt which repels miasma and feral yokai. There are living quarters in adjacent buildings around the mountain but the temple on the mountain's peak is the focal point. The entire area has been blessed by salt which repel miasma and feral yokai from the area. This is the refuge of the Earth Sages and is the castle of the noble Hogosha clan.
▰▰▰ Bushuugi Bloodline:While they are few in number, those born of the Bushuugi lineage often display a natural affinity for ninjutsu, showing tremendous skill from an early age for the Fire, Water, and Lightning elements. Through careful training, Bushuugi clan members are able to combine these elements into an unstable Kekkei Tōta known as Hōsha. Hōshaton, the Radiation Release, is an extremely potent nature transformation, capable of infecting those who come in contact with it and devastating their internal organs, then spreading its toxin through contact with an infected individual. Those who use this bloodline tend to develop a deep understanding of chemistry and poisonous mixtures, as they play a key role in mastering the Kekkei Tōta.

▱▰▱ Mutated Biochemistry | Starting at C rank, due to the usage of unstable chakra mixtures, the users body undergoes mutation on a cellular level. They gain access to 1 Elemental Bloodline implant that utilizes 2 of the chakra natures required for Hōshaton [Suiton, Katon, Raiton]. They optionally can gain this effect again at S rank, resulting in 2 Elemental Bloodline implants. These implants do still count towards the user's maximum number of allowed implants. Techniques from implants gained through this Bloodline Attribute can receive the effects of Base Mixture. ▱▰▱ Chemical Engineering | Rather than gain the free "Genetic Palette" PA at A rank body, the user gains access to the full list of techniques from a single Elemental Implant. ▰▰▰ Hōsha Restrictions:
• Radiation Sickness can only be applied at Tier 1, unless a technique states otherwise. • For the purposes of Custom techniques, Tier 2 Radiation Sickness can only be applied by techniques of A rank or higher. • "Fission Reaction: Fallout" is the only technique that can apply Radiation Sickness higher than Tier 2. • Character must be of the Ninjutsu or the Medical class, and gain one or both of the abilities listed below if they meet the appropriate condition. • User's of this bloodline cannot have "Elemental Mastery" or "Dual Ancestry" as class disciplines. • This bloodline cannot be implanted, and user's of this bloodline cannot receive Elemental bloodline implants. • The "Genetic Palette" PA can only be applied to characters of this bloodline through the traits of this bloodline, and cannot be gained by other means. • Reactant Trait: If the user is of the Ninjutsu class, they can pay an E rank amount of chakra in addition to the cost of Ninjutsu techniques to impart Tier 1 Radiation Sickness when any other status effects are applied by a technique. • Nuclear Medicine: If the user is of the Medical class, healing techniques the user performs treat physical wounds much quicker than normal, resulting in a 1 post reduction in the time that it takes to heal physical wounds; additionally, medical techniques used to treat physical wounds are effective at 1 rank lower than normal.

Unlike other status effects, stacks of Radiation Sickness combine to apply higher tiers.
Tier 1 Radiation Sickness The effects of this tier are largely unnoticed by the victim. They don't feel any noticeable changes, but may find their physical activities require slightly more effort than normal.
• Techniques that require stamina require a flat [5] additional stamina to perform per instance of Tier 1 Radiation Sickness. • Four applications of Tier 1 Radiation Sickness combine to apply 1 instance of Tier 2.
Tier 2 Radiation Sickness
At this tier, the effected person begins to feel a growing sense of nausea and pain, and their body feels heavy. Those who can see the internal body systems may notice very small masses beginning to grow randomly throughout the persons body. White blood cell count begins to drop.
• Techniques that require stamina require a flat [10] additional stamina to perform per instance of Tier 2 Radiation Sickness. • Other status effects apply 1 tier higher. • Three applications of Tier 2 Radiation Sickness combine to apply 1 instance of Tier 3.
Tier 3 Radiation Sickness
White blood cell count is extremely low, leaving the body prone to infections. Even breathing becomes painful. The infected person may feel as if they are constantly on the verge of vomiting.
• Techniques that require stamina require a flat [15] additional stamina to perform per instance of Tier 3 Radiation sickness. • Other status effects apply 2 tiers higher. • Two applications of Tier 3 Radiation Sickness combine to apply 1 instance of Tier 4.
Tier 4 Radiation Sickness
At this tier, the physical effects the victim feels from the previous tiers remain the same. Instead of feeling increased effects, the victim becomes Radioactive.
• The effects of Tier 4 Radiation Sickness are identical to the effects of Tier 3. • The infected person becomes Radioactive, and will impart a stack of Tier 1 Radiation Sickness onto any individual they make physical contact with until this effect is cured.

▰ Base Mixture | Rank D | Training The most basic form of Hōshaton a Bushuugi clansman learns to utilize is not, in itself, a Hōshaton technique at all. Instead, they train to master the art of melding their chakra to form an unstable mixture of highly volatile energy. By expending 1.25x the chakra cost for a Suiton, Katon, or Raiton technique the user can imbue all 3 elements into the technique. If the technique applies a status effect, it also applies the other corresponding status effects as the same tier (I.E, if the technique applies tier 2 drench, it also applies tier 2 burning and tier 2 paralysis), and do not cure/interact in the case of Drench and Burning. Additionally, the user develops a resistance to radiation, feeling the effects of Radiation Sickness as if they were 1 tier lower.
▰ Fission Reaction: Cherenkov Light | Rank C | Ninjutsu By combining the three necessary elements and imbuing them with unstable Hōshaton chakra, the user forms a floating ball of plasma that glows with an eerie blue light. This orb, when at rest, will float around the user for 5 posts before it dissipates. The Cherenkov Light responds directly to the users will and can be directed by verbal or somatic cues at the cost of 1 action, but no additional resources. When these orbs make physical contact with an individual, they inflict 1 tier of Radiation Sickness. Use of this technique inflicts 1 tier of Radiation to the user. This technique can be cast up to 3 times with a single action, with each cast inflicting 1 tier of Radiation Sickness.
