"Drink the water or I'll make you drink it," Shion would bark as she marched into the barn, making note of the obviously untouched glass. Her tone was harsh, but it wasn't angry; more of that special Shion brand of tough love. She was more than prepared to carry out on her threat too, until she got closer. As her eyes adjusted to the dim light of the barn, it became quickly apparent something was wrong with Toso other than nearly dying of heat-stroke. His usual stoic visage was plagued with hints of melancholy masked by the occasional false smile. Shion stopped her approach for a second, and relaxed her tone. Toso beckoned her to carry on, to not let his current condition get in between her and her training; it wouldn't matter. Toso had heard her out plenty of times in the past, it was almost her duty at this point to return the favor.
After a brief moment to think of how best to approach the situation, Shion continued her forward gait; this time at a much more leisurely pace and stopping to lean with her back against the wall beside Toso's cot. She took in a deep, soothing breath and looked up towards the ceiling before finally speaking up. "Alright Squid, talk to me?" Her tone was soft, and oddly warm for the usually abrasive kunoichi. "You seem rather... morose... not Toso-ish. Something on your mind?"

He would certainly have to take advantage of this moment. "Ah, bloop, well you see, despite being married, I haven't had sex in a long time bloop." he'd wait a moment to level Shion's reaction as it was not just the two of them in the barn as the farmers returned to the field. He'd then laugh breaking the illusion of seriousness implying that he was merely jesting. "Bloop a little adult humor."
At Shion's demand he'd drink the provided water. "I suppose, its simply things are just different now bloop. If you get my meaning." It seemed Toso was alluding that the two of them were for the most part adults, and the struggles that came with that title was cumbersome.

Shion snorted as she tried to stifle a laugh at Toso's quip. "Shut up, you dork," she jabbed back, still trying to stifle a fit of the giggles. Her reaction was noticeably different from when Toso's wife made the same lewd jests; she didn't feel the need to be suddenly on edge. Toso was a trusted friend and, coming from a friend and not some stranger she had just met, she could tell his comment was all for laughs. Still, given the squid's upbringing and reputation, a little voice cried out that it might actually not be a joke. Shion recollected herself as Toso let him comment hang in the air, allowing the mood to settle. "That's just the nature of the world, isn't it? Wouldn't be as exciting without a little shake up every now and then," she remarked, trying to stay upbeat. It wouldn't do much to lighten the mood however, as the full weight of Toso's words sunk in deeper. "I know what you mean though. It's quite the load, isnt it? To tell you the truth, I'm still uneasy about it all. Shiro, Kumo... being a leader; it all just feels wrong." The tone of her voice shrank till it was almost a mumble. "Even us... You have a family now and I'm apparently on the career track... however either of those two happened is beyond me, but I'm not gonna let it stop me. It's scary when things change, but we're the adults now... we can make the change we want and, for as scary as it is, its also exhilarating." Her tone picked right back up as she carried on whatever track her mind was on. Shion wasn't exactly the greatest orator, so a little derailment was to be expected. "We should be looking at this with excitement! Dont you agree? You gotta take that doubt and just... Just squash it down, stamp it out, and kick its a**!" She'd trail off, repeatedly slamming her fist into the palm of her other hand, a small blast of her bakuton chakra going off as she did. "Besides, its not like everything is changing. Lots of stuff stays the same... You dont think a fancy job like Anbu will put out this little firecracker, do you?" She turned to face Toso, beaming him with one of Shion's trademarked overconfident grins.

While her words were as inelegant as they could be perhaps that just was just what the recently stuffy shirt wearing squid needed. Toso would stand grinning with the same hard to read smile but this time it seemed to glow with a sincerity as if carrying the words thank you. The light of the barn window shining down on him like some sort of divinities graces. Head up and to the sky the man would say something cryptic. "Unk-nee would have scolded me for not taking my own advice bloop." The advice in question being five years ago telling Unki to marry for love and not succumb to the pressure of parental authority. Although to Shion it would sound like the man was just talking to himself as it begged the question what he meant.
"Ah, sorry. Just wondering what if I'd made different choices bloop." He'd say his head returning attention to Shion. Then he'd go off on a tangent that seemed out of left field. "Firecrackers remind me of fish roe and on the that subject crackers and roe go great together bloop." He'd laugh as it seemed the subject matter of his dilemmas were being swept under the rug. One of his tentacles would then make itself known sprouting from his back as it began to snake to the water cooler articulately pouring another glass without so much as the man moving from his position. "Adults are just older children. bloop and just like children I suppose we can get scared and confused about silly things. Not to mention doing possibly reckless but exciting things. bloop." a small nod to his secret life as a street vandal.
After his first tentacle concluded its acquisition of cool liquid a second would spawn and do the same as the first offered the glass of water to Shion the second getting one for himself. "Should I truly be dork bloop, I'd be rather frightened If I were you Shio-nee. A whales genitalia is quite the frightening thing to see bloop. Speaking from experience bloop. Could you imagine if...bloo bloo bloo. I'll leave it at that bloop. aaaaaaah." he sighed. As his second tentacle returned and he drank once more with a look of triumph in his eyes for some curious reason.

She tried her best to follow Toso's ramblings, she honestly did. Unfortunately, all Shion could initially respond with was a raised brow and a bewildered look slapped across her face. After a brief couple of seconds, Shion took the glass from the tentacle that loomed near her face and threw it back in one gulp. She might not have had any words for how to respond to the litany of nonsense the man spewed forth, but she was certainly happy at the result. "Yeah, you're back to normal." she quipped, shaking her head in disbelief. It seemed her little speech at worked on him and Toso was back to his bloopy self.
Shion stretched her arms upwards into the air, slowly bringing them back down to her sides as she rolled her neck and shoulders. "Well, I'm done here for the day. I'm going to go swing by the academy or something... see if there are any kids I can beat up. Maybe get some food. I dunno. Feel free to tag along if you want, though I'm sure your family is waiting." Turning towards the door, Shion would glance back over her shoulder and wave to the bed-ridden squid. "Later, tater!" With that, she'd make her way back into town.

"Yes, my family. Bloop." Yes, it would be apparent that he was done to. At least for the time being. The man placing his hand back to his side would then vanish into the ground as though it were the sea itself.

Shōsan would appear in the farmland of Arashigakure through the Body Flicker Technique and would suddenly hear the rustling in the wheat crops in the distance, not so far off. He would run towards it, his arms behind him, as the rustling got further away. Shōsan would run inside the wheat crops as everything, in his 360 radius, was just wheat. Shōsan came to an immediate stop as the rustling was no longer heard. "Oh, great." he said while grabbing his sword - movement was creeping towards him slowly, but surely.
Suddenly, a shadow grew above him. Long, tall, wide, black, bulky and scaly - a Tsuchinoko, one of the rare, goliath snake breeds in the world only found in Arashigakure, standing at 30 feet tall over Shōsan. "Wonderful," he said in an ironic, monotone voice. The Tsuchinoko gave a hiss-roar at Shōsan as he put up a single hand seal, anticipating the snake to attack him downwards with brute force and speed. It did so and came inches away from chomping Shōsan in half, but he had used the Body Flicker to dissipate immediately out of range from the Tsuchinoko's attack before reappearing in the air above it.
Shōsan then began to weave a numerous amount of hand signs before extending his left hand for it to be engulfed in lightning, with the sound of thousands of chirping birds on top of that. He'd glare at the creature as it lifted itself up, looking around for Shōsan and eventually looking at him in the air. "You're really annoying and you've been bothering people, you know that?" he'd say in a very booming, deep voice. "Let's see you bother someone after this." His tone was frighteningly calm. He'd put up a single hand seal once more with his right hand as a clone would appear. The clone already knew the plan - allowing himself to be a propel point as Shōsan could not dart towards the Tsuchinoko by using air as a platform.
The snake saw Shōsan darting towards it and immediately coiled and pounced towards the young shinobi with his mouth open, extremely sharp fangs bared with poison dripping from it. "CHIDORI - ROAR OF THOUSAND BIRDS!" Shōsan yelled at the created as they flew towards one another. Shōsan aimed directly towards the creatures - flying inside it's mouth and coming out through the outside of the back of it's throat. He had landed on the creature's tail as it slowly fell to the ground and brung forth a slightly strong gale as it did so. "Hold on... birds don't roar. I guess I said it to sound cool," Shōsan said as he begun to chuckle. He looked back at the beast and made sure it was dead, and it was. "Job done, I guess." Shōsan would begin to walk off and look around before flickering into thin air.
Soon-ae's day had lead her to The Drop District. She never been there before. It was quiet; something she felt she needed now. She didn't waste any time finding a spot in a tree with a perfect view of the livestock. Just like at every other spot, Soon-ae finished her bottle and closed her eyes. There, after what felt like only minutes, it hit her; what she had been doing all day, was meditating. Pleasantly surprised with herself, she made a decision. When she opened her eyes however, it was night time. She got up and hurried home.
From the Dojo to the tranquil farmlands, Unki had to awkwardly think like a dog on the fly. Can I walk on all four legs? Can I carry my backpack in my mouth? Will I stand out with a robe on? Unki found she could walk, rather run, on all fours and hurried to greener, more quiet pastures. She must have looked like a large, funny looking yellow dog who escaped a fashion show and stole her owner's backpack in the process. This is so weird, this is so weird, I don't LIKE THIS I don't like this. WHY is the moon RED? Nobody said anything about a blood moon or a strawberry moon being in the forecast! Unki whimpered. Whimpering, yawning, yowl and howling was all she could seem to do so far in terms of vocalization. She hadn't tried talking yet and if this experience was anything like the day of the tiny dog then she couldn't.
She dropped the backpack on the grass and sat on her knees beside it. She worried about how she must have looked like a strange terror, moreover, a strange terror that couldn't sit correctly like an ordinary animal. Unki watched and tried to take in all she could see. The farmlands were quiet. There were people tending their fields, goats and oxen grazing, and an all about feeling of calmness. In time, she eyed a pond where a figure was fishing and the thought of cold, fresh, salty goodness came into her senses. Fish. Before she could forget, most of her carried belongings were wedged under a rock the wolf-girl managed to maneuver and hide her backpack.
Odd-ball canine instincts kicked in for a second... pardon the omitted details as Unki would not be proud to explain the wolf that overtook her momentarily to "mark her territory" to remember the rock. The rock was hers now. If anyone touches the rock they will die by Wolf Unki's paw! If the rock was touched and the backpack moved, then the whole farming community has its death warrant signed! Woof!
Such bitter thoughts were all ingrained within hungry Wolf-Unki's thought process.
The stench of fish, bait, something edible was on the wind and Unki followed the best her nose could. The scent came from the woven basket beside the man with a fishing rod. She had one chance to swoop in and effectively steal some, if not everything, of the basket's bounty. If she had enough coin to leave for the fisherman, she would, but her backpack was safely under a rock at this point and there was no intention to paw out a wallet and fight to pull out coins. She began to stalk and eventually took to hide nearby. The fisherman was a young man, older than Unki by leaps, and appeared to be unaware the beast was eyeing his catch. Food. A switch approach was taken. Unki hurried out of hiding, grabbed for the woven basket, and tried to escape before he could notice. But the fisherman caught on, yelled at the wolf-girl, and just about went on to chase after her until the man saw the yellow wolf stand on his hind-legs.
Unki couldn't kill the man for wanting his fish back. The most she ended up dealing was a firm kick to his shoulders to try to discourage him. The man wasn't trained in combat like she was and was taken back by the swift kick. Unki delivered another kick to his opposite shoulder and shoved him while he was still in a daze. He was an easy prey, that is, if Unki wanted to eat him rather than the fish. From being shoved, Unki's claws had pulled, tore his shirt, and did more than just niche the skin below.
He must have gained a world's worth of wisdom in that shove from a werewolf. Now that Unki created distance between by knocking him aside, the fisherman looked at her with fear and took value over his own life than the basket and fled. Unki flung open the basket, grabbed the first fish she saw and shoved into her teeth before grabbing a couple more. Unki made off with as many fish her paws and mouth could carry before leaving behind the abandoned basket. It was uncertain what sort of crowd a distraught, injured fisherman would bring afterwards. Who would even believe him that a large dog on its hind-legs was the culprit too? Unki actually took her chances for an angry mob to form and spent several minutes enjoying her bounty of stolen fish.

He had to find Tsuki! He knew she would be on the streets somewhere, likely with Aurelia. The Spearman leaped from rooftop to rooftop, scanning the ground as he moved- cursing his own failure at preventing this attack. While conducting his search he found a large crowd of people running from something. They were so large in number and so obviously frightened that he reasoned it could be Tsuki had she transformed as well. He diverted his path and headed to the docks, arriving just in time to see a large wold creature slash at and knock down, a defenseless fisherman. He wasn't sure what this creature was- it was far different from any of the Changed he had seen so far...but he didn't care.
A pillar of fire erupted from the ground originating at a point between the beast and the fisherman- stopping the wolf from reaching him and totally burning the basket of fish to a crisp. The fire would also serve to direct the creature to pay attention to Belamos who, by this point, had summoned Shōkyaku to his grasp "I don't know who you used to be" He said, a rough tone to his voice and an odd, hard to identify emotion present as well "But I'm past caring anymore" Anger- it was anger! The second half of his sentence dripped with fury, a result of the still unmastered Yonbi's influence on the Sun Child. Still, Belamos had enough restraint to at least allow the beast a chance to surrender.
The yellow Unki had her fill of fish and equally, her fill of hiding. She ran her floppy pink tongue along the inside of her mouth. Her teeth were ridiculous! She never imagined how it felt to have large, sharp teeth like a dog and now wondered how it compared to the thin, sharp teeth of a lady Angler fish. Unki looked back to see if the basket was still there to maybe grab a few more fish. No, the basket was spoiled. Burning to charr and smelling both awful and actually, somewhat, not that bad. Burnt fish was still meagerly edible but ash and burnt wicker was not.
Unki didn't recognize the red irate figure shouting at her. Rather than an angry mob the wolf ultimately summoned a somebody like her former self. A fire expert. She let out a long sigh and began to awkwardly work the violet robe off with her paws. Unki shook off the last of her clothing and managed to toss it aside.
She let out a noise that was some attempt to speak but sounded like an upset whine with short, noisy, grumbling howls. Either commenting on the fact that she didn't eat the human, only ate fish as she kicked at the fish-bones at her feet, or complaining about fighting at a supposed disadvantage. Maybe all three? Unki did have a lot of grumble about. She even tried to say her own name. But "Un" was a "oo" sound and "ki" sound was weezy and lack indication to the appropriate vowel. Before she could let herself get frustrated she wrote the easiest part of her name: "天の" in the dirt with her foot-paw.
Any attempt to write out her given name or more familiar self-appointed name , with the pads on her foot, would take entirely too long.
No speech. The irate red man was a problem and if not for the alluring, unusual scent of sunflowers and honey, Unki would dismissively wave him off and leave. Did he bathe in all things glorious? He smells so good! ♪ Maybe he's made of honey? ♫ I mean, fish is good and all, but maybe a nibble of just to see if I can get a taste of something sweet. The urge to actually fight him was a perfect split down the center between yes and no. The fisherman she twice kicked into submission was a flat out desire to not fight him.
In the end, Unki saw this meeting wasn't going to end well. If she couldn't nibble a taste of this unusual honey scented goodness (i.e his flesh) then the angry man of red needed to be removed. There may be some spotted deer population that could use pruning. She had to look ready to react to what the weapon wielding angry man could do.

He narrowed his eyes at the difiant creature "Alright mutt" He whispered to himself as he dropped the point of his spear to the ground "Don't say I didn't warn you" Belamos began to walk towards the creature. They were only seperated by a distance of thirty or so meters so he was interested by how the mongrel would react to his advance. Once he was within fifteen meters the action would start to happen- once Belamos's foot came into contact with the earth a ripple of red chakra would speed through the ground like a lightning bolt and, immediately afterwords, everything within 160 feet around him instantly lit on fire. Houses, ships and stalls all combusted into flames. The ground upon which they now stood had red veins running through it- as if there were thin lines of molton rock flowing. Oddly enough, while everything was on fire nothing was really burning- the fires didn't consume anything they burned for some reason!
Belamos wouldn't stop walking. Once he was a few steps closer he would swipe his hand across his body, launching his next attack. For a brief moment the ground underneath where Unki was standing would glow with the intensity of the Sun befor exploding upwards in a Pillar of Light. Belamos would smirk as he continued approaching. Once he was five meters away, though, he would stop. At this point he would merely drive the butt of his spear into the ground and await tthe results.

The change to the ground was sudden, startling, and Unki's initial reaction was moving. She stood in the fire herself and anticipating flames to be roasting her at any minute. She could only run but she wasn't quick enough. A bright beam erupted very near to her. The sight of the water was cut-off by an intense and exceedingly warm obstacle that Unki only thought to move away from as quick as her paws could carry her. [ Used: Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ] Rank: D] She couldn't see he was approaching her. He probably had the advantage with visibility but had he seen her slip underwater after the swift flicker?
It was luck that Unki had bullied a fisherman in the act of fishing because she had one place she felt she could flee too. The water didn't appear to be affected. Then the looming question of how much of a threat this altered terrain will offer was already answered if it spawned dramatic light beams. This was a strange form of fire.
This particular body of water was a pond that a nearby river eventually formed. The pond was made into a considerably important feature of the land as the inhabitants made use of their handwork to direct the pond to fill the rice fields. The pond was fresh water and rich with marine greenery, turtles, and fish.
She had to think. This wasn't the most opportune fight so long as Red had the weapon, the terrain to his disposal, and surely the confidence . Unki had the claws, the teeth,the limbs of a canine champion, thoughts of her former self, but the splitting desire to sink her teeth into his skin. This fight was becoming a frustrating headache by the second.
Her vision was as blurry as ever underwater and indications of life were just barely something Unki could make out. She cannot stay underwater forever, her lungs weren't that deep, and for all she knew Red could send in some surprise to soak up a foot or two of the water. The animals in the lake would suffer because of her, in that scenario, she thought. With the passing of one thought came another on-the-fly plan that Unki could work with. Under the cover of the pond, Unki cast two ninjutsu one after the other before she could step back onto dry land.
She wasn't certain if the corrupted land could burn her but there was no chances to be taken for the small stuff. A fireproof technique was cast. Second, Red was probably expecting a dog to come paddling back out and not something else. Use of the transformation technique turned the wolf-girl into a freshwater crab. A small scuttler that certainly wouldn't pose a threat to a tall, angry, red person. The once wolf Unki crept her way back onto shore with small legs, pinches, but big ambitions to move through the grass to close the distance. The eyes of a small crustacean honed in on Red.

The beast launched itself into the water to escape his flames- smart. It was probably the only course of action that didn't result in it's death. Still, he would have to be sure the thing knew it's place. Raising his hand above his head Belamos would spawn forth a Miniature Sun- 200 meters across in width. "I don't have time for this" He muttered under his breath as he threw the powerful orb into the sea and then vanished as soon as it left his hand. Belamos would head towards the village- hopefully helping more people than just this one fisherman
Meanwhile, the Soul of Helios would burn through the water and impact the sea floor. The water in the area would be thrown up in a gyser of titanic proportions; the destruction bespeaking the power of the Flame Spearman who had taken his leave of the scuffle.
Unki really moved unnoticed by the red spearman. She didn't get as close as she wanted though as he began to move. He must have done more than just "move" as a spot of light flickered in the crab's sights. There wasn't much Unki could register at ground level but a flushing roar of water erupted as the red spearman left. She had watched him leave temporarily but the spat of warm water on her shell stirred her to move. More spats. Spluts. Splosh. Splash! Unki crab scuttled a few paces more before releasing her crustacean form and running on paws toward her violet coat. Her coat was soaked and warm in her mouth. Dirt and sand clung to its fabric.
The wolf girl shot back to the rock where she left her belongings, kicked it aside, and carried her backpack in her front paws. She ran upright at this point sucked into panic to put the backpack on to return to all fours. When the water was reduced to a mist, Unki slowed to a stop and looked back toward the pond.
Her heart sank. The water was her friend so long it was safe enough to enter. In tandem with great power, the red spearman demonstrated a lack of heart for much else except man. It was mind-boggling what some were capable of unleashing and how recklessly said could be done. Was he actually a master of fire or had fire became the master of him? None the less, Unki was beginning to develop a distaste for the red spearman. He was blind to her attempt to write, communicate with him, and indifferent for the ecosystem. Then again, Unki's judgement may have been clouded in favor of her own survival, despite, her judgement still felt sound. He would never make it as a mermaid...
Unki wasn't looking like her old self, save the backpack and the damp violet coat she couldn't tie shut. Her fur was wet, paws throbbing, and her mind beginning to face a reality that this was more difficult than any canine endeavor she's ever dealt with.
In the wind, however, something soothing was picked up by her ears. Her fluffy yellow ears, pierced with the pinkest of pearls, heard something sweet. Not pleasantly sweet like the song of birds but sweet in the sense that there was the trace of another. The sweet suggestion that she wasn't alone. The sound of another's howl pulled her sinking heart out of something somber. Unki sought to follow it. The taste of honey and sunflowers will have to wait. {Exit}
