Jace was glad that everyone seemed to really enjoy their majors. He listened as they talked about horror movies and how Hunter wanted to re watch the saw movies for inspiration. "I love the Saw movies. I have them all" he said. "I just like horror movies in general" he said. With his fascination of serial killers its not much of a surprise that he was into movies with blood and gore. "I like the idea of having movie marathon in the lounge" he told Kolya. He looked to Ebony and let out a chuckle. It didn't surprise him that she didn't like anything scary. Then he looked to Axel who was nodding with excitement.

Esmeralda smiled when he congratulated her ans asked about friends and his major. "Thanks and no I haven't made any friends. There's a girl in my class who is amazing at acting and she did shut up some girls who were talking mess" she said though that part was normal around her. "She seemed nice but we didnt talk" she explained. "I bet. There's a lot that goes into medical science but being the studyholic you are I'm sure you'll get into a flow pretty easily" she said with a giggle using the nickname she gave him months ago when they were talking online. "I have entertainment next. Sounds like it will be interesting" she said smiling.

"Perhaps a friend in the making. I wouldn't be surprised if you had another class to share. The chance to make a proper university friend might be there," he stated with a sly grin. He knew that she wouldn't take it the wrong way, as he was an online friend before meeting in person and would not count. This girl sounded like the type of person who was fiercely independent yet empathetic. A perfect match to Esmeralda and her sheer confidence.
He looked around and saw a rather large group nearby chatting away. He'd seen them around in the Student Lounge at different times, but had never spoken to them. He was interested to know them better, but he had a priority to his friend as he'd promised to spend his lunch time with her. He'd see if he could find them in the dormitories after to have a conversation. Something about them seemed to pull him in. Maybe Esmie felt it too?
Esmeralda nodded. "I suppose so" she said and smiled. She noticed he was looking at something and followed his gaze to a group she had seen earlier when they were are the arena this morning. "They seem like an interesting group. Don't you think?" she asked him. She hadnt't seen them anywhere else since she spent her first day there just exploring the campus.

Kimberly was about to say something when she noticed a newcomer walk into the Food Truck seating area. She wiped her phone out of her pocket, looked between it and the person, and her jaw nearly hit the table. "Guys! It's Naomi Laughterdale! Four time Olympic gold medalist figure skater for Great Britain! She's one of the top five female figure skaters in the world!" she exclaimed.
Kimberly herself didn't have the skill to skate, but she used to watch the winter Olympics with great excitement. Watching the skaters move with such precision and grace. Naomi was a powerhouse; strong, graceful, and elegant. She had everything it took to be the best in the world, but a leg injury had her out of the competition for 2 years. In ice skating terms, it's pretty much a death sentence for a skaters career. For someone like Naomi to be at Saint Sandorez meant that she had powers to boot, which Kimberly was interested to know about.
Kolya jumped when Kimberly reacted so strangely, and raised a brow when she stated the persons name. A figure skater? Olympic champion? Why would someone like that be coming to a university like this? He knew nothing of figure skating, only that he couldn't do it to save his life. He watched the girl, Naomi her name was according to Kimberly, with mild interest. Her powers must be out of control for someone of her "celebrity status" to be at the university.
"Anyone else know who she is?" he asked out of curiosity.
Naomi had been busy with her cool-down exercises after dance she had nearly wasted her whole hour for lunch. She'd quickly gotten a salad and a smoothie from one of the stalls and was content to eat in the shade of the trees closest to the Cafeteria. She flicked some of her raven hair out of her blue eyes and started eating on her own. She knew some students, teachers even, would recognize her as an athlete. She was here to control her powers, but was also using the figure skating extra-curricular to boost her skill so she could return to the championships that gave her life. To her, skating was everything, and to be away from that due to injury was torture.
"I have Entertainment next. That will be a lot of sitting so I'll have to do a strong warm-up before fitness," she mumbled to herself in her beautiful British accent.

Students at tables around them were buzzing with excitement when a new student came onto the scene. Being someone so focused on studies and medicine, he was unfamiliar with her, but maybe Esmeralda knew of her. "Is that someone you know about?" he asked, hoping Esmie perhaps had the answer.
If she didn't, it wouldn't affect him in the slightest, but it was worth a try. With students sneaking pictures and making blog posts, it was someone with a lot of followers or status. The girl under the tree seemed very normal, down-to-earth, and not seeking attention at all. He didn't think she was some kind of blogger herself, but she gave off the sense of being someone with real talent. Like an actor, singer, or athlete.
Jace laughed when Kolya jumped at Kimberly-Anne's sudden outburst though the name certainly caught his attention being a brit himself. He looked in the direction the Kimberly was looking and was shocked to actually see the Olympic gold medalist walking into the area. He had seen her a few time in person though he had never spoken to her though his mother really enjoyed watching her performances and she was well know in their country. He had to admit he did not expect anyone of celebrity status to appear at Saint Sandorez. He looked to Kolya and nodded. "I do. She's very popular in Britain of course being a gold medalist for Great Britain. I would sit with my mother to watch her perform. We've even flown out to see her in person after I got a better handle on my abilities and could be around people" he said.
Esmeralda noticed the commotion and looked to he girl who had walked in. She seemed familiar but she wasn't entirely sure what her name was. "I don't know a lot but i think she's an athlete. I've seen her face before but I don't really know" she said and shrugged. She hopped that the other students excitement and attention wouldn't bother the girl too much. She seemed like a nice person though she seemed pretty focused.
After finishing her quick meal, Naomi looked out at all the faces around her. Phones out and camera flashes were nothing new to her. One person in particular caught her eye. She stood up and walked over, focused on Jace the whole time. As she got to the table, she reached in and searched for something. Once she found it, she handed Jace a coffee-stained envelope. "I remember you from one of the meet-and-greets after my last championship. You had a key-chain that you wanted me to sign for you, but when you got to me you'd lost it. I promised you if I ever found it, I'd return it to you. Well, true to my word, I did find it. Figured you'd want it after all this time, Jace," she stated with a bright smile.
Kimberly started talking and she listened contently, "I always keep things if I find them. You never know when you'll bump into someone. I've given lost items at the airport while traveling before."

Kimberly nearly lost her cool when Naomi started walking over. She was surprised that Jace had met he before and that she was handing him something. The story was sweet and she thought so highly of Naomi, even more so than before. "You really kept it after all that time just to give it to him if you ever saw him again? That's so sweet," she said. It reminded her of all the times she told herself if she became an international author she would still remain humble and true to her promises. Naomi was a role model to look up to for sure. She assured herself that if there was any ice skating competitions going on at the school, she would be looking out for Naomi on the ice.
Kolya was about to say something along the lines of oh, that's really cool when Naomi herself started walking up. He listened to what she said and silently agreed with Kimberly about Naomi's actions being sweet. He would have been heartbroken if someone he idolized was meant to sign something and that trinket was lost before getting to them. She was very giving and open-hearted and that was admirable to him.
Jace looked at Kolya when he seemed like he was about to say something but turned to look at Naomi not having expected her to come up to him let alone give him the keychain he had lost. "Ah yeah" he said taking it and smiled. "I was pretty bummed I lost it. My mother is a huge fan of yours and I had planned to give it her when she couldn't make it that year" he said to her. "Thank you. I'm glad you found it but you really didn't have to go through the trouble" he said and put it in his backpack so he wouldn't lose it again. He looked to Kimberly who was surprisingly calm for someone who was fangirling just a few moments ago. "I'm surprised you're here to be honest. Though I heard you got injured. Hope you've recovered well" he said moving over and offering her a seat next to him. Hell he was surprised that she even remembered his name let alone him. She meets thousands and thousands of people and he had only spoken to her for a short while.

Just casually throwing in some jealousy for the moment twisted
Naomi sat down when Jace gestured for her to do so. "To be honest, I try not to think about being an athlete all the time. On the ice, sure, but off ice I'm just any other girl born in South Africa who moved to London around the age of 10. The few things I can do to bring smiles to people is what I live for," she stated with a smile.
When Jace mentioned the injury, she had almost a reminiscent look on her face. "Ah yes, that fall. The only time in my ice skating career I took a fall after a triple axle. Public records will say that it was an ankle injury on landing, but that's not the case. My powers actually manifested and the sudden electric shock caused a spasm so I fell. Only tournament where I came in silver," she replied.
She nodded to Kimberly when she made a statement about her powers.

"I always knew there was some other reason! I take it that it's not just something electric based for you to come here. Storms, perhaps?" Kimberly suddenly blurted out.
She seemed a little embarrassed when Naomi nodded, feeling like she was prying into her personal life, but Naomi was gentle about it and seemed pleased to answer questions. Storm manipulation was surely something that would require a lot of focus to control, mostly because it was an empathic power and emotions were vital to an ice skater for a meaningful performance. University here wasn't just about powers, but making a path to a future where a student could thrive in confidence.
Kolya was happy for Jace when Naomi came up and began talking with them. He seemed to light up a little, which was strange to see but pleasant. Sure, Kolya would have liked being the one to make him smile and be brighter than ever, but he was a dark force that people ignored for good reason. He was used to people being happier around others, so much so it was less of a numb pain and more of a constant emptiness. A void that was never filled. The smile never left his face though, as a change in demeanor would be obvious.
Jace listened and nodded to her responses. "Oh I see. That's interesting timing isn't it? " he said and looked to Kimberly when she guessed her ability had to do with storms. It was interesting how everyone's abilities manifest at different times in their lives. He realized he had not introduced anyone. "Ah these are my new friends. This is Kimberly, Ebony, Axel, hunter and Kolya" he said putting an arm over Kolya's shoulder. "What majors did you decide on?" he asked her.
Naomi waved her hand to the others when they were introduced by Jace. She looked to her watch and realised there were only 10 minutes left. "I'm sorry to leave so soon, but I need to stretch before my next class. It was a pleasure meeting you all, I hope we can get dinner together," she said as she got up. She left without much fuss from students around her, most keeping their distance and not running up to her. For Naomi, it was a pleasant feeling to not be approached so constantly.

Kimberly could tell Kolya getting tense, but she assumed it was because he knew so little about Naomi as a competitor and athlete while everyone else seemed to know more about her. As Naomi left, she turned her attention to the time. "I have Journalism next, what do you guys have?" she asked as she started to gather her things together. She needed to get a head start to her class because she had to walk almost clear across campus to get there. She hated being late.
Kolya's initial thought was to brush Jace's arm away, but it calmed him to have Jace's arm there against him. He kept himself as calm as possible, but only seemed content when Naomi left. He had noting against her as a person, but he didn't know why he was so triggered by her presence. He passed it off as not knowing, but he felt deep down it was something more. That presence that brought him to the attention of Jace might not have just been darkness attracting darkness, it might have been genuine feelings. He'd never told anyone of his pansexuality status, heck, he didn't even know what Jace identified as. Maybe that was why he was aggravated.
As someone from an artistic background, someone like Naomi was just another person. The only reason he knew of her was that he has tattooed portraits of her on people before, but he didn't know she was an athlete of great talent. He kept quiet and only added in occasional remarks. When she left, he did hope they could met up with her at dinner. He liked the group growing in numbers so quickly.

"I assumed she was someone of an athletic nature, so I am glad I got that right. Maybe you two will share a class and you can get to know one another? She seems friendly enough, outgoing and charismatic. Maybe you can show her what absolute confidence looks like," he said with a sly laugh.
He looked at his watch and frowned lightly, three minutes to go. He had to make his way to his next class, Nursing, and he didn't want to be late. "I should get going, I don't want to be late for my next class. I'll meet you in the cafeteria for dinner? Or should we decide later on and just text it in?" he asked as he stood, sliding his backpack over his shoulders.
He ran his hand through his brown hair and waited patiently for Esmeralda to answer. True, he could just up and run away, expecting her to text it to him, but he wanted to ensure he knew what the plan was if she was willing to answer on the spot. If she was unsure, then they would play it by ear, but for now he waited.
Ebony wasn't familiar with Naomi as a competitor or champion, but she liked how she was. She was nice and sweet and very relaxed. Ebony hoped that they would share a class or two in the future! Maybe Naomi would attend the Circus Troupe acts if she attended an ice competition? It was worth a try~! "I have fitness next! I can't wait to get a work-out! I already have my MP3 loaded with loads of power songs to train to!" she giggled

Axel was familiar with Naomi, but too star-struck to say much. He was glad when she said she wanted to get dinner with them. it meant he could ask questions he didn't get to. "It's choir for me next. I should get going if I want to get there on time," he muttered.
