Esmeralda smiled and took a seat next to Axel and looked at one of the books to pick songs. She looked up when Axel introduced them to the newcomers. She smiled and waved taking a sip of her drink and looked at the book again grabbing a few cards and writing her name and song choices. She had to do at least one spanish song. She looked to Axel. "Hey wanna do another song together?" she asked him. "Duro y Suave" - Leslie Grace "So Am I" - Ava Max "Alarm" - Anne-Marie "Titanium" - Sia
Jace nodded. "A few drinks sound good to me. Not sure how good I'll be at pool but it should be fun" he said and followed the others to the pool table and grabbed a stick. He gave Brycin his order along with the others. "Go ahead" he said to Hunter when he asked to break.

Kimberly watched the game start and wondered how the night was going to go. She looked around to the others in the Games Hall, loud conversations and drinks, public displays of affection bordering on inappropriate behaviour, people leaving to smoke on the veranda. Behaviour that was very common in Australia. She paid no mind to it, but wondered what the others would think.
Kolya watched Brycin go off to get drinks and waited for Hunter to start the game. He had played a few times, but was surely not the best. Out of everyone playing, he assumed that someone like Ebony would be the best, as the flexibility that girl possessed would allow her to get trick shots. "It's going to be interesting to see how this game goes," he laughed.

He was able to sink the solid #4 ball and grinned, taking his second shot. He was able to sink one more ball and took a third go. This time around, he only succeeded in hitting one of his own, but not sinking it. "𝓐𝓱, 𝓳𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓶𝔂 𝓵𝓾𝓬𝓴" he laughed as he handed the stick to Kolya to go next once it was their turn again.

Their performance of Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's "Perfect" was, without a doubt, one of the best she had seen in a long time, but she doubted they would do the same. She wanted to see them interact more, as her empathy could tell that Axel had a crush on Esmie. She didn't want to say anything, because it was not her place, but she could act as the perfect wingwoman and help things along.

He looked at the table and knew that it was going to be an interesting game, as Hunter showed some talent. He wondered how the girls would be able to go, as he wasn't great and Kimberly already voiced her lack of proficiency. Ebony had the most chance, so he had his fingers crossed that she'd be able to keep Hunter on his toes. He didn't really want to lose.
Ebony was excited to see that Hunter had some skill, as she was someone she considered raw talent for games like this. She wanted to shoot next so that she could give him a run for his money. Kimberly didn't seem to care and Brycin was still drinking his drink, so she took her chance and went after the striped balls. She was able to sink two in a row with a trick shot, but missed on her third. "How was that~?!" she exclaimed.

Axel nodded to Esmeralda and looked through the book for something that would work as a duet. He settled on The Shallows as he felt that it suited their vocal ranges and would be something the crowd could join in on during the chorus. Terani sat down next to Thomas and the two of them went through the book to look for songs to sing. They were talking in German and settled on doing a duet together, Thomas singing the German vocals, and so she chose other songs in a similar genre. She would change to more rock-based songs in the next round, if there was time for one. She was excited to see what the others at the table would choose, as they were all very talented singers in their own right.

Thomas wanted to sing songs that were relatively easy, but ended up going a little out of his comfort zone with the Parachute option, but he wanted to try. He was also excited that Terani was keen to do a duet, as he wanted to know what it was about her that attracted her to him. He finished his card and put it in the middle of the table to wait for the others before everything would be collected by the DJ. There was a lot of laughter and conversation around from other tables, and some people didn't seem to want to join in, but he would make the room erupt with dancing and laughter, even if it meant embarrassing himself in the process.

Esmeralda smiled when Axel agreed and let him choose the song they would do. She trusted his judgement and looked to the stage when people had began singing their songs and others started to put in their cards one at a time. She smiled bobbing and moving to the music in her seat. She looked at her friends and smiled. "What songs are you all singing first?"
Jace leaned against his stick like it was a staff holding him up as he watched Hunter start the game. He was impressed by his shots and asked Kimberly to hand him his drink from the table and watched Ebony shoot. He raised his brows in surprise and nodded. "Nice shot Ebs...go ahead Kolya" he said motioning him to go with his drink in his hand.

Waylon shrugged when Esmeralda asked about songs, grabbing the finished cards from the table and handing them over. When he came back he had the answer. "Cards are being chosen at random, same with the song that you would be singing. So you'll know when you get called up,"" he answered. He took a swig of his drink and set it down, stretching in his seat. He wondered how people would react to him choosing songs that were predominantly higher range. He was expecting to hear mention of did someone write the wrong song on the card? when it came to his Kelly Clarkson voice. He knew what he was doing and he wasn't afraid to showcase to the entire campus his singing.

Autumn grinned when Axel and Esmeralda interacted, reading Meera's face and nodding along. She looked around the table and wondered which one of them would end up being called first. They'd have to wait a while, no doubt, since they only just handed their cards in, but she was interested to see how things would play out. Most of the people in the room were downing their drinks before singing, or already drunk, swaying from side to side on the stage. The DJ, luckily enough, had teleknesis and was able to prevent any....bodily fluids....from getting onto the microphone or equipment on stage. "Looks like we're in for a fun night," she laughed.

Kimberly took her shot, a rather uneventful one as she didn't sink anything, but she did impress the others with her ability to shoot with either hand. She was going to answer Kolya's question before a waitress came by with a tray of shots that were free. She was willing to try them, as the shots were said to taste like cranberries and lime, and it was true, but also heavily alcoholic. She shuddered slightly before turning to Kolya with the answer, "I was born left handed, but I took to using my right more. Some things I just do left handed, but overall I'm a righty," she replied with a smile.
Kolya took his turn, which wasn't as good as Hunter or Ebony, but he was able to at least hit one of the balls. He gave a shrug and handed the cue to Jace. It was Kimberly's turn to go next, and she swapped hands to make a trick shot, and almost sunk the ball, it stopping in front of the pocket. "Are you ambidextrous?" he asked. Before she could answer, a staff member came by with a tray of shots, an on the house sample of a cocktail they were making. Everyone else grabbed a glass, so he decided to as well. "What the hell, it's not like something could go wrong," he mumbled to himself.

Her empathy was reading them so well, she could see their auras as bright as day. Axel, his aura was a blue swirl of dots that reminded her of Van Gogh's Starry Night--a mixture of nervousness and uncertainty. Esmeralda's aura was different, a Leonid Afremov-esque blue of warm colours--pinks, oranges, reds, yellows, bright purples--a combination of confidence and flirtatiousness waiting to be freed. She sat back and enjoyed the sight, curious to see how their auras would blend together if they kissed.

He wasn't much for drinking, content with the non-alcoholic beer he was drinking, and only could tolerate weaker drinks, like basic beers and so on. He took his shot, managing to sink a single ball. He shrugged, content that the shot was decent enough to sink something, rather than nothing.
Ebony downed the shot without hesitation and seemed to get more energy from it. She looked to Hunter to let him know that it was his turn to take his turn again. There weren't that many balls left on the table, so it was going to be a close game. No one seemed to have missed anything yet and she didn't want to be the first to do that. Her competitive nature was coming out the longer she was at the table and she was okay with that~!

Axel tapped his fingernails on the table, wondering when he would be called up to sing. He wanted to know when he'd be singing with Esmeralda, more than anything, but he just wanted to sing. He wished he would have brought his guitar like in choir, but he loved singing no matter what. He kept looking to the stage and wondering if he could copy someone's power to find out when he would be singing, as his nerves were getting the better of him.
Terani was the first of the group to be called up to the stage, and she was a little uncertain because she had seen the others making their vocal range known during choir. She hadn't had the courage to join in, so she wanted to show that she did in fact have the range the others did, the power and strength. The song that had been chosen was "It's My Life" and she took a deep breath in to ready herself. The music started and she pulled her hair out from her ponytail to get into the mood. Several cheers erupted from around the room and she knew she had the stage. She began to sing, a little shaky at first, but as she continued along with each word she began swaying to the music and really acting like a front-woman of a rock band. It was as if she had become possessed by the talent of Gwen Stefani herself. As the song neared the end, Tera had the microphone in her hand, stomping on the stage, kicking in the air. The crowd was enjoying every minute, loving the change from the usual sing-behind-the-microphone-stand singers before.

Thomas drank his beer when he noticed Terani get called up. He watched intently, wondering what was going to go down. He was not expecting her actions and raised his brow, turning his head to the side. "Well, things just got exciting," he muttered to himself as a smile crept across his face. He looked to the others to see what their reactions were, whether or not they seemed impressed with her or not. He certainly was, even if he didn't want to let it show right at the moment. They'd only just met at the bar and hadn't had a proper conversation yet, so he didn't want to come across in a bad manner.

Esmeralda nodded when Waylon explained how it was going to go. She swayed to the music in her seat. She looked to the stage when the first person was called up to the stage. She watched as she got into the music slowly and then just went full on into performance mode. She smiled and joined in the cheering. "Get it girl!" She shouted and smiled looking back to her group and noticed Axel seemed nervous. She got up and went to get him a drink. She wasnt really sure what he liked to drink but she made sure to ask for something with mint since it helped calm the nerves and came back offering it to Axel.
Jace watched as they continued to take their turns. Jace grabbed a shot glass along withe others and downed it. Ebony looked like she had gotten another boost of energy with the shot and he simply laughed and shook his head. He looked to Brycin when he handed him his shot. He took it without questioning him since he figured not everyone was a drinker. He smiled at him and raised it before taking his second shot. Once Brycin took his shot he went for his turn. He was a pretty deent player. He couldnt make any fancy shots but he managed to sink three more balls for hi team before he accidently sunk the cue ball. "My bad" he said and rubbed the back of his neck.

Kimberly waited for Hunter to take his turn next, as if had gone back around to their team. She was interested to see who was the lightweight of the group, at first thinking Ebony but also considering she might have a higher constitution than expected. Brycin didn't seem like a drinker and she turned her guesses towards the boys. It was between Hunter, Kolya, and Jace at this point and she was curious to see who would be drunk first.
Kolya watched Jace take his shot and gave him confidence even when the last shot didn't go as planned. He held up his empty shot glass and shrugged, "Blame it on the alcohol, I guess." He laughed at his joke, in case it didn't come across as such, and turned his attention to who would be shooting next.
Ebony watched Hunter, knowing that if he made four shots in a row, he'd win the game. If he missed one, she would have the same amount and be able to win. Seeing as they both had the best chances, it was up to the two of them as team leaders. She wasn't going to sabotage the game so she would win, but she wanted to see his skill level and how he would make a trick shot to sink one of the balls trapped behind one of her own.

Axel was surprised when Terani got so into her performance, enjoying watching her having fun singing her heart out. He was more surprised, however, when Esmeralda handed him a Mojito, one of his favourite drinks. "Oh, thanks. Do you want me to get you a drink next round?" he asked, not wanting her to spend her student points on him. He did appreciate her kindness however, and it did alleviate his nerves for a moment or two.

He wondered if she'd sink the white ball as well and give his team the win if she did so. It was a high likelihood considering that he didn't think she had a high constitution for alcohol consumption.

Esmeralda walked back over a moment later and she secretly hoped that their duet would be on next to give them their moment in the spotlight, literally and figuratively.

He knew he lacked the skill, the concentration, and he was happier to watch the game go on. If there was a round two, he would sit out for it, content to watch.
