Ruby stepped into the makeshift ballroom behind two gentlemen, and looked around. It seemed, based on the few guests, that it was still early. The tables were draped in rich red cloth. Almost as if she'd chosen them herself. Finally, a party with class. She wondered, as her crimson eyes scanned the guests, how many of them were royals. She could tell the young man with the odd amount of pocket squares, and the two redheads with him were. Did that mean so were all the guests?

Invisible to the Living eye, the Phantom silently floated near the glass windows. Her gaze slowly drifted from the dying sun and towards the arriving guests. She had arrived far earlier than the invitation had suggested and had taken the time to explore the venue just as the Prince had. Indeed, she had even passed the unknowing Prince multiple times during her venture; the only mark of her presence a chilling draught.
Floating nearer to the attendees, the ghost began to catch snippets of the conversations taking place. There seemed to be a good deal of discussion about pocket squares. In the span of a breath, her once unseen form bloomed into existence. Despite being as transparent as always, the soft white glow surrounding the Phantom seemed brighter than wonted. "Good evening." She dipped into a graceful curtsey.

A rather short and dainty looking figure would be off to the side of the festivities, the tinkling of decorative bells audible as they shifted from foot to foot uncomfortably, gloved hands tugging on the silken frills and layers of their attire like they weren't quite used to the finery. But...she had to be here to make sure rumors didn't become fact, word of mouth had told of a number of anomalous beings and persons congregating at this particular event...and duty always outweighed personal preference, whether she wanted it or not.
The chatter seemed to be picking up, but it was just the standard greeting of guests one could expect at the beginning of a get-together, though she stilled at what seemed to be a disembodied voice sounded out from near the guests, greeting another. If this was one of those to be expected to show up, then indeed odd folk were to be joined here.
Skirt swishing and bells jingling with every step, she made her way over to a table containing what smelled to be an array of delicacies...and possibly fruit. Maybe she could just...nibble on a few things...

The ballroom was beginning to fill both with faces the redhead recognized, and some she did not. At first she was beginning to think that she missed a memo with how many redhaired ladies had appeared, but now the diversity in attendees was beginning to show. Lucky heard the clack of a cane midwave to Nefiriam and turned her attention to the newcomer. Well! It wasn't every day she got to see Mr. Mechanic dressed to impress and without a layer of grease from his current project covering his work clothes. She excused herself from Solsi and her brother, snagging a handful of pocket squares from the box, before making her way over to the newcomer. She hadn't seen him since their escapade on St. Patrick's day, which really had been far too long. "Well! Don't you look handsome," she smiled, coming to a stop in front of him. "Glad you could make it, Mechy~ Here-" She reached up and placed the handful of pocket squares in his breast pocket, not all that different from how her brother's looked. She winked playfully. "Ballroom dresscode." The prince shook his head as he saw his sister make the mechanic the next victim of the overabundant box of merchandise, but left her to her devices. Arron could handle her. Maybe. He instead took in the other newcomers. He noticed another redhaired woman had made her arrival shortly after he returned from his venture through the halls, yet seemed more content to examine the room for now. Then there was the other, a tiny maiden with bells that chimed as she stepped. She looked as if she wasn't used to this type of setting and had made her way to the buffet table. He was considering introducing himself to the pair when a familiar voice caught his attention. The prince smiles warmly the lovely phantom appeared before his eyes. He bowed in turn. "Good evening, my dear," he replied. "It has been some time since we last met." Or had it been? He had noticed a rather unexpected cold draft more than a few times when exploring the halls. He had thought it strange, given the warmth of the summer evening. Perhaps he was not the only one who was curious about this place. "I do hope the venue is to your liking?"

Nef raises a brow when he hears Lucky's comment, "Does that mean those of us without pockets have to leave? No shoes, no pockets, no service?" He has a small smirk tugging at his lips and a mischievous gleam in his eyes, as if daring someone to try and kick him out for something so small.

The Phantom admitted, rising from her curtsy. Gazing once more at the decorations, she replied, "The ballroom is breath taking, the view more so. You, your sister, and Solsi have done wondrously." Her sincere words were matched with a smile.

'Highness...? Oh dear. Royals. Best be on best behavior...' the currently eating woman thought to herself as that disembodied voice came again, addressing one of the men who apparently was of nobility by the sound of it. She slowed her pace of 'nibbling' to something a bit more polite, though she had almost left three trays of fruit bare. She really had no control over herself when it came to the treat.
Her stance changed to something a little stiffer, one they might recognize as that of a guard's than a lady of the court, with her head lowered and feet slightly apart as if ready to defend. Her bangs covered much of her face to really worry about the eye contact issue. 'Just have to remember to bow, say the usual things...mind the feet...'

"Thank you, though I must admit it was my sister and Solsi's work more than my own," he replied, gazing upon the decorations in appreciation as well. "Though I do have an idea on how to contribute." He turned his attention to the phantom again, offering a hand. "It does not seem fitting to have such a scene, and not a single lady asked to dance. Would you mind helping me correct this?"

"Oh dear, now we wouldn't want that!" Lucky remarked, eyes innocently wide and fingers brushing her lips, playfully covering what might have been a gasp. "Though I am sure if you speak to Solsi, she can find a way to wiggle around the rules. In the meantime..." She slipped the constellation embroidered pocket square that Solsi had handed her out of her own pocket, casually stuffing it into Nef's vest right behind the highest button. "That should keep anyone from kicking you out for now~" She glanced at the one who had been eating at the table- oh, they are running low on fruit! She would let the caterer know next time they passed. She noticed that the girl seemed to have changed her attitude. Stiff and at attention. Head lowered...? Astraeus didn't bring a member of the guard, did he? ...No, she had bells, but not the telltale sparkle of stardust that the Stellars had about them. It had been months since she had last been to the kingdom and she still noticed a shimmer in her hair from time to time! She glanced at the boys, then back at the woman. "I don't believe I have met that one. Who is she? And on that note..." She cast her gaze upon the crimson haired woman. She had been keeping to herself, merely observing. Yet, Lucky was certain she was among the first to arrive. "Do you happen to know her as well?"

As she reached out to take the Prince's hand, her transparent form became corporeal. The chill in the air deepened, and for a moment her hand burned cold in his own. Seconds passed before warmth returned to both.
Following him to the dance floor, she spied an observer by the food table. The woman was clearly uneasy, her body taut with tension. The Phantom bowed her head in mild greeting and gave Minstrel a kind, comforting smile

The motion appeared to be lost to the belled guest, even though she was facing toward the dance floor. In fact she seemed to be craning her head slightly, a confused expression crossing the visible parts of her face. Why on earth was the Royal dancing by himself? She could hear the sound of his shoes clacking against the surface, but...where was the partner?

The shock of the cold affected him for only a moment. So many days travelling between the stars and the empty space between had grown him accustom to drastic temperatures. But that did not mean that sudden change went unnoticed. He watched curiously as her form became less spiritual, then led her onto the floor. He was aware of the viewer, but also noticed that his sister was also taking note. He would leave it to her for now, and instead let his focus lie on the phantom. Taking her in his arms, he began leading her in a waltz. With only the two of them on he floor for now, he took advantage of the space, gliding across the floor and allowing dips and spins when the time felt right. He was unaware of the baffled look on the onlooker's face. Had he seen it, he might be just as confused. He could see his partner as clear as day, and to his knowledge he had no ability that would allow him to see a spirit that others could not.

Content to stay to herself for the time being, Ruby continued observing the room. A girl by the food table went from studying the food, to a rigid sort of bow, one she had seen herself many times from her own guards. "So, they aren't all royalty. That's a relief." Pure royalty would mean a very uptight sort of party. At about the same time, Ruby felt a bit of chill in the air. Odd considering the evenings weather. Looking around, she caught sight of a floating spirit surrounded by light, seemingly curtsying and greeting the gathering crowd, before vanishing again. Ruby cocked an eyebrow. She wasn't informed of any hauntings... Shifting her gaze across the floor, she saw one of the young men seemingly dancing with himself. This was clearly not a normal party. She watched the young man for a few moments, before feeling as if she were being watched herself. Looking away from the prince, she scanned the crowd, before briefly catching the eyes of another redhead. She cursed under her breath, hoping she wouldn't have to interact just yet, but smiled, and politely gave a small curtsy of her own.

The young woman would remove one of her gloves, and do something odd. She snapped her fingers first around her ear, then nodded to herself as if it was some kind of affirmation, her earring shifting slightly out of it's hiding spot behind her hair from the movement. She paused as the reddish stone caught the light, and then straightend, seeming even more confused. 'Someone is there?' she mouthed, popping another piece of fruit in to cover it up and chewed thoughtfully. Disembodied voice, the Royal dancing seemingly by himself, but someone was supposedly there? "A ghost?" she asked herself quietly aloud, shaking her head. This was going to be an eventful night...

With centuries of practice, the Phantom gracefully followed the Prince's lead. A small laugh escaped her lips as the Prince grew bold and claimed the entire ballroom floor for their own. As they spun, her eyes glanced to the outskirts of the room where the other guests stood. Curiously enough, they were garnering odd stares. It also seemed her earlier attempt to comfort the woman with bells had failed. The spin completed, the tangible ghost gazed back to her partner. "You dance well, Your Highness."
