So, this one time, I went as a bag of jelly beans. It was really cute, bunches of colorful balloons blown up and stuck inside a clear trash bag that had arm and leg holes. I went up to this guy's house and of course, asked 'trick or treat!' and he said trade! A little confused I looked up at him and asked 'whaaat?' Again he said trade and held out this 'huge' bag of jelly beans. He told me, if I gave him one of my jelly beans, I'd get the whole bag he was holding. So of course, being little and gullible, I pulled my arm inside the trash bag and picked out the prettiest balloon I had and tried to push it out of the arm hole. Welllll, that didn't work. The guy must've thought it was hilarious because he just gave me the bag of jelly beans. Was the sweetest Halloween treat I'd gotten yet.

Every one of my kids has been a pumpkin on their first halloween. Sometimes when baby number 3 was still little, I had all three of my kids dressed as a pumpkin just cause I wanted a whole patch of them. Lol/spoiler]

One year when I was little, I went to a house that was known for full size candy. Well apparently that year that person decided to go Trick instead of Treat.
I got an apple.
When you're 8 years old, you don't want an APPLE. And me being polite I didn't say anything. But I pouted. A lot.

I was like 5 and we lived in Saskatoon. There was a HUGE blizzard Halloween night and although we weren't out for long my dad still took me and my brother out trick or treating.
