DenkouSekkaBoys Yes Im obsessed I admite it.I want some Jin and Mugen Smut... Like right now O.o. Im soo hyper right now. Must read yaoi....Dont worry Ill calm down soon ...Hopefully.The first Yaoi Iv ever seen I was 13....yeah i said seen.it was totaly by accident. Its was rather funny.And there was nothing graphic about it. I know a few guys who like yaoi xD. Hmm i wounder why it is I like yaoi. i just do.I think its adorable. I even think is uber cute when two guys hug. Even if its not in that intention.I still think its cute. Mabey Im just weird...But anyways yaoi rocks <333 and I dont care for shoujos. they almost always protray the girl as stupid and it gets on my nerves. stressed . Now kids you shouldnt do what Denkou just did...this is called rambling and more often then not leave's people confused and wounders why it took so many words to get your point across then they relize at the end there was none neutral ...... Hey, just because I'm young doesn't mean you need to call me a kid. T.T or a kids for that matter. >_>

whee Oh yes, I forgot to add something! Originally yaoi WAS meant for men(and it was alot more accurate in depicting a male/male relationship). However, I guess it the manga gained a surprisingly large woman audience so it evolved into what it is today.

I hear that gay mens' manga is quite different from girls' yaoi. Yaoi is part of the shoujo genre since it's a subgenre of romance for girls. I'm kind of curious to compare though. 3nodding

I guess being gay though does make you sort of more likely to be in the small crowd of guys who love yaoi sweatdrop

Ayanoki I've never read gay mangas, didn't know there was a difference. O.o; Think about it for a moment. Girls read yaoi for bishonen. Bishonen are sometimes indistinguishable from women, they're just that pretty. But why would a gay man want to read mushy love stories about men that look like women? Wouldn't he prefer stories about men who look like men? I can see how there would be a big divide between actual gay manga and girls' yaoi.

So... Heh. I randomly came in here, and, like, found an interesting conversation. But my opinion would probably be the simplest ever; I think it could matter no less who likes, or who hates, yaoi. It's kind of like... If boys would want to wear pink, then they should be entitled. If girls dream to be a car mechanic, they should be entitled. It's just... some things are a bit too overruled by the opposite genders... Girls can wear any colours, boys "can't" wear pink? (Ugly example) Boy's can't play with barbies, and girls can't play with toy cars? ._.; Okay... Now, I've been rambling. But my point is that yaoi, and anything else, should be for anyone. In this case, it seems to be more for girls, but there still is a male audience, so, it's fine. I guess it has to do with either likes and dislikes... or, obviously, the way of the modern world. xD I will now cease to digress.

I find it very funny that yaoi was originally made for men. I've seen a few animes/manga where both males look their gender, but I thought it was just the preferred style. Well, it might be. O.o But, anyway, yaoi really has changed a lot and I agree on most of the points made about why females like it best.

Just like Yuri was made for men.
