Kowsauni How do the rules work for gestalt? I've never played that style of game before though I am well acquainted with savage species. Simply put a person takes two classes, taking the Class skills and specials of both and the highest Hit die, Base attack bonus, skills and saves, of both for one level. This is on top of feats and ability increases normally gotten by level and race. Example, A level 1 Rogue/Barbarian would get the d12 hit die, +2 to Fort and Reflex, base attack bonus of +1, 8+Int mod skills, with Fast movement, illiteracy, rage 1/day, Sneak attack +1d6, and trapfinding. In cases where two classes get the same ability, like the above with Uncanny dodge, it would accrue at the rate of the faster class. (Barbarian gets Improved Uncanny dodge at level 5, where the Rogue gets it at level 8 ) The only limitations would be, Spells from two different classes have to be kept seperate and fall under the same limitations said class the spell comes from. (A Cleric/Sorcerer, who wears armor, still suffers from Arcane Spell Failure Chance for all arcane spells.) And one can't pick two prestige classes at one time, nor a prestige class that increases two classes specials/spell levels(like Mystic Theurge). Beyond that, your only limited by your imagination.
