_ _She'd spoken with every official who swarmed the scene soon after, but they all told her the same thing. All they found were a pair of goggles and a blood soaked piece of cloth. This was, in her opinion, unbelievable. She stubbornly shook her head. "I don't believe it. If he were...gone...there would be more to find. This can only mean one thing...that he is missing...not...the other thing..." They tried to argue with her but their alleged professionalism was met with only a tearful glare. "I'll find him... You'll see..."OOC: ~

As the fires were put out, things began to surface. What was left of the mechanic's workshop revealed a lot about his life on Gaia. He apparently had a stash of sweets that had been placed in the very back of a cabinet, & his downtime was spent reading & making jewelry. Solsi was had been waist deep in the debris so she may have caught a glimpse of a charred boot or foot print. If they continued to search they would find a trail of blood that seemed to stop at the wall that was attached to another building.

_ _After several moments with the officials on duty, they finally disclosed where they found the clues. Starting from that point Solsi resumed her search, stumbling through the pile of broken rubble. Here and there she would spot something new, a smear of food perhaps, or a chipped bead, but it was all difficult to identify. Nearly tripping, she stumbled and caught herself at the last minute, landing with her eyes cast downward in just the right place. "A...dent? No, an impression. No...a...foot print?" Squinting at it, she measured which way it was facing and pursued its direction. After a while there was the distinct glimmer of blood, new evidence given the location. She followed the trail that lead up to a dead end...a wall to a building near to his. "It stops here... Guys!" She waved frantically to call the others over and share in her findings. OOC: ~

Ooc: I was waiting for Sciurus to post. ^^'She didn't want to believe the worst, so she continued to search along with everyone else. Solsi, however, found a clue. A trail of blood lead away from the rubble and to a wall of another building. Hearing her voice, Kate looked back and followed the young woman. "Good find," she said, staring at the trail.

{Ah my apologies, I was at work today and I've been forced onto the laptop now so don't mind me dears. Dunno if I'll be home tomorrow at all, plus I have class/a test tomorrow night. & that, my dear Solsi, is why we now have the internet. /shot}emergency crews finally arrived as Sciurus and the others searched the debris. All that seemed to be found were a pair of goggles and bloody cloth, but the surgeon studied them intently. The blood was still fresh. The mechanic was obviously somewhere, given the lack of body parts, but he probably wouldn't get far. Now upon seeing the goggles and getting a better look at the place, the surgeon had realized who they were looking for. Sciurus couldn't honestly say he liked the mechanic, but his duty would be done no matter what. He followed as Solsi pointed out the trail, taking out his cleaver as a precaution. "Be careful," The surgeon warned, "If someone was earnestly targeting the mechanic, we may not be the only ones searching for him." He nodded at Kate "I trust you have your vines ready? Or anything else you like to smite foes with?"

_ _"Thanks...the officials did most of the work." Solsi replied to Kate. It didn't occur to her to make introductions, at least not while in her super form, but they were on the same team and that earned her trust. "Right." she replied to the doctor. Honestly she was so caught up in looking for Arron it hadn't occurred to her to keep her guard up against whoever did this. Working carefully she got settled in her footing and started rapping lightly on the wall with a fist, looking for a clue or perhaps hidden passage. She kept an ear out as well, just in case a spot was thinner or hollow.OOC: Solsi might be a little focused right now, but it's very nice to meet you Kate. I've heard wonderful things about you. ^^

( It's nice to meet you too! Uhh... What sort of things? *shifty eyes* )She glanced back at the surgeon. "You know I'm always prepared with my magic," she replied. Since the trail had ended at the wall, she thought maybe some sort of secret passage? It was a possibility. Seems Solsi thought so too. She placed her hands against the wall and started carefully moving them around it.

The wall seemed to have a very big crack in it & when pressed upon, it moved. The knocking revealed that it was hollow & metallic. They had found a hatch.

_ _Solsi's ears perked up when she heard Kate say the word magical. It was fascinating, and, well, quite the relief. Maybe she wasn't the only girl who could do magic in the area... Both of the girls' hands encountered a crack at the same time, and the wall echoed a metallic clang. The panel started to shift and soon revealed a secret hatch. Solsi stood upright and snapped her fingers victoriously. "Hey, hey, hey. We did it! All right." She eyeballed its proportions and deduced she could easily fit inside. Taking a breath, she balled her fists in determination. "All right. I'm going in. If anything happens..." She turned and handed Kate a scoop of sparkles. "Give this magic a good home!" she whimpered sentimentally.OOC: That you were nice and sweet and magical. And your name was Kate. XD That's not all of Solsi's magic, so feel free to take the sparkles, hehe. Just felt like saying something silly.

The doctor chuckled darkly in agreement. "Indeed. I've failed to kidnap you more than enough times." Sciurus poked through bits of rubble as the girls worked, more out of curiosity than anything else. He also kept a watchful eye out to make sure no one was lurking around and that the emergency crews didn't get nosy. He glanced back at the wall in time to see it pop open and Solsi preparing to go down it. The surgeon came up behind Kate, pulling out a flashlight to inspect things more closely. "Perhaps my paranoia is flaring up, but I do not like the look of this. Are you sure you wish to go first, Ma'am...?"

( Oh. GOOD! That's all you know. *shifty eyes still* MAGICAL SPARKLES! Mah eyes can go all kirakira now! emotion_kirakira )She couldn't help but to chuckle at his comment. "Yeah. Though, you almost had me that one time at that ball." Looks like a crack in the wall revealed a secret hatch. Solsi offered to go in. She blinked as the young woman handed her a scoop of sparkles. Was this really her magic? "Uhh... Or we could all go in? It wouldn't be right to let you go alone." The mage looked back at Sciurus.

The hatch ended up revealing a service tunnel. It smelled of mold & other various industrial waste. The blood trail continued on. The splatters had grown in number & in size. They could also make out that something had been dragged away, disappearing around a corner.

_ _Solsi nodded. She'd never been more sure of anything in her life, but there was something to be said of the advantage of numbers...if horror movies taught her anything. "You're right, we should probably stick together. But I don't mind going first. This uhh, isn't my first rodeo I guess you could say." she assured them. It was almost a little weird speaking to the doctor while in her hero form and going unrecognized, sort of like her personal worlds were colliding. But she was determined to see the mission through, and make her friends, both old and new, proud. "Well, down the hatch!" She descended into a service tunnel where the trail of blood resumed itself. Solsi followed it with her eyes as she waited for the others. Her magical light activated instinctively, glowing a gentle aura to illuminate the spots between light fixtures, as they were few and far between. "I don't like the looks of this..." she said quietly to herself.OOC: So...shiny...can't...stand it...WHAT HAVE I DONE?? *ka-pew!* burning_eyes
