Approved and I like his back story. Missing loved ones are so much more interesting then dead loved ones. Gives the DM material to work with.

Thanks!

Added a description and (brief) personality. Also swapped out his level 4 Crystal Plate Mail for level 4 Frozen Plate Mail, and added all my resistances up top.

D'oh!

I misread the character creation rules at work (my fault for worrying more about not getting caught!), so I'll fix my stats for a point buy instead. I thought it was 'one reroll', not 'no reroll'.

Question: Do you actually want 20 points for point buy, as you say? Or 22, like the book recommends?

(And here, I was happy I got an average score when it only took 2 attempts!)

It's fine you can keep your second roll.

I got the 20 point from the character builder where all your stats start at ten and then you get 20 points to play around with. You can then lower one of your stats to 8 to get two more points.

To be honest I prefer point buy over dice rolls as it allows me to make my stats exactly as I want them and makes a level playing field for everyone else. Nothing suck more then have a mediocre character cause you rolled bad while someone else in your party is amazing cause he rolled two 18s.

I was originally just going to do point buy but I know a lot of people like the thrill of seeing what they get so I was going to allow one attempt at dice rolls. But to be honest it doesn't really make that much of a difference to me so you can go ahead and keep your second roll and I'll edit the rules to allow others to attempt a re-roll as well.

I've always been a personal fan of rolling when it comes to PLAYING the game; it seems more 'natural' to me. But this is 100% personal taste.

Even if my roll came out to the even 22 point buy (20 for character builder) when broken down, I'd still be happier because the character's stats seem more personal, rather than 'chosen'. It makes the character a little more alive for me.

I personally don't sweat one character having much higher stats; either they'll draw more fire from the monsters, or if the DM still applies monsters evenly, they'll just have to bail me out all the time! My favorite PC ever was a 3.5 Sorcerer who played like a Transmuter (with barred Evocation); I just buffed my allies then didn't contribute at all in combat! biggrin So I usually enjoy any opportunity that lets other players have to do more work :3
