*no she's not*
"Blue thunder, the invincible spark - "
*no one calls her that*
"The end of all that is good and pure!"
*not even close*
"...but others call me Volt. Voltari to be exact." And yet somehow forgot to mention her actual title. Oh well, that was Volt for you. She tilted her head with a smile and shook his hand eagerly, a little bit of electricity inadvertently exchanged like a joy buzzer.

*Awesome!* Xashowd smiled at Volt's eagerness. Based on her name and appearance, he guessed she could control electricity. He hadn't met many who could do that. " It's a pleasure." He said, accepting the hand shake. Then the electricity sparked into him. Purely on instinct, Xashowd's hand flew back to his chest. It hadn't been much, but it had hurt. Being Wind elemental, Lightning was the one element that could severely injure him. He knew from experience. Afraid he'd accidentally insulted Volt, he apologized to her. " Sorry about that...my body has a low electricity tolerance."

Volt blinked, slightly surprised, as his hand suddenly darted away. His explanation left her feeling a little embarrassed.
Sometimes things got a little shocky when she got too wound up. "Whoops! My bad... Er...I mean, I meant to do that..." >>
Well she did have a "reputation" to uphold.
She coughed into her fist, regaining composure of the moment, but then, curiosity had her now. "So what are you then?" she asked, not realizing how offensive that could sound, but she really wanted to know. Elementals were made of elements and other metaphysical stuff, Gaians were made of squishy red liquid, maybe this person was made of something else.

Xashowd chuckled. Volt was an interesting one, for certain. He'd just have to be careful about physical contact. " I'm a Vampire, actually. Normally a little shock wouldn't faze one of my kind, but I've trained in Wind magic for so long I've gained various properties of the element. A weakness to electricity and Thunder magic among them." He explained.

Volt frowned a bit. "That's unfortunate...but I guess I'm kind of used to hearing things like that. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who isn't vulnerable to what I got goin' on. Problematic for a princess, but terribly convenient for a fearsome rising dictator, such as myself."
Is anyone even buying this shtick...?

Is anyone even buying this shtick...? Xashowd raised an eyebrow at the "dictator" part. He wasn't sure if she was serious, but given how quickly she had apologized earlier, he figured it was an act. " Well, it's something I live with." He replied. " So, what are you planning for the upcoming Prom, oh fearsome dictator?" Xashowd inquired, a glimmer of amusement in his eyes.

Though it would've been obvious by any third party that he wasn't really buying into her story, Volt was a little more than willing to accept what she wanted to hear, taking everything that happened just then at face value. "Not too many plans. Escaped the Cloud Kingdom, that was phase one. Made a couple hundred purchases with the Cloud Kingdom gold card, that was phase two. Right now I'm giving away everything I bought to those looking to attend to show those stuffy old types back home what real parties are made of!" She stretched casually and folded her arms behind her head. "Sooo, yeah. Nothing you wouldn't find at any other prom I'd wager." Not like she would know, being not from around there.

Cloud Kingdom? And she mentioned her electricity being problematic for a Princess...Seems like I'm in the presence of royalty. Xashowd thought to himself. " Yeah, it's not too out of the ordinary. What kinds of clothing did you buy?" Xashowd asked, curious if there was anything that could aid his ensemble. He still lacked the "Fairytale" part of Classic Fairytale.

She put a finger to her lip and smiled as she looked upon the selection. The Gaian sense of style was so different and intriguing. Though perhaps some of the allure formed simply out of rebellion to her parents and the royal council.

Though perhaps some of the allure formed simply out of rebellion to her parents and the royal council. Xashowd looked at the assorted clothing. There were some very nice items on there, including a few pairs, but nothing really screamed fairytale...except for a Wizard's Cloak he saw on the rack. The gloves it had sparkled with magic, which was definitely fairytale. It was a small thing, but it would do, and it'd look nice with his ensemble. " How much for that one?" Xashowd asked Volt, pointing to the Wizard cloak.

Care to try your luck?" Xashowd sighed when she said the number. He only had 13 mil right now. He pondered haggling with her when she burst out in laughter. After hearing her explanation, Xashowd chuckled. Volt certainly had a penchant for humor. He smiled. " Sure, I'll try my luck. It can't hurt after all." He replied. Xashowd was curious about Volt's kingdom, wondering why she'd want to "escape it" if she was the Princess. " So, what's the Cloud Kingdom like?"

Volt sighed at the mere mention of home. "Oh, that." she said a little stiffly, rubbing the side of her arm with her hand and looking away. "Well it's just like your average kingdom floating in the sky...got its royals, councils, royal councils, and inhabited by all airborne elementals...so namely beings like yours truly in addition to air, light, water, and some ice. It's a pretty stuffy place, and they hate Gaians. They say too much drama goes on down here." Well, that was not necessarily untrue. Gaia had seen more than its fair share of alien invasions, zombie attacks, holiday warfare, and havoc such as that. What Volt referred to as 'stuffy' regarding her home others might see as refined. The elementals were an ancient, exotic race of beings who preferred peace to senseless adventure and conflict. They had a difficult time convincing Volt of the same values, however. It had been generations since they had to prep a ruler of electricity to inherit the throne, it tended to be fiercely independent and erratic element by nature, and Volt was no exception. She had her own ideas of how things ought to be run, things that went against years of tradition.

" Sounds like an interesting place, having so many different Elementals." Xashowd mused aloud. Volt didn't seem to have a positive opinion of the place, though. He got the feeling she was the independent type of Princess, and based on what he'd read in stories, she probably gave the other royals of the Kingdom a run for their money. Xashowd chuckled. " As for drama, I certainly agree Gaia has its fair share of ups and downs. With all manner of supernatural entities fighting upon it, it tends to be a rather exciting place to live." He remembered the various holiday events in the past. Those had been pretty hectic... " Though, Gaia's just one of the many worlds I've visited over the years. It is the one I return to the most, though." Xashowd explained.
