Oh my, the Megaman cartridges are expensive! DX I do like how on the cover art he first looks realistic and grown up but steadily becomes more and more small and cartoonish looking with each sequel.
Only one save file? Yeesh, I remember playing that on Gameboy and I died probably every three minutes, that would be a nightmare!
Haha, it's like the Nintendo World Championships cartridge that are worth thousands today, especially the gold one. A few months ago, someone bought one for over $100,000. People would never use it, they'd just put it on display. It's that mix of pride, nostalgia, and OCD that makes them want it so much.
Luckily, it didn't seem to happen to my copy of A Link to the Past. That's not a game to do in one or two sittings. You can change the battery but I would rather just buy a new one at that point. D:
I heard of that game. There's like, less than 30 of the gold ones or something like that?
Oh wow! I started playing A Link to the Past online, it's so much fun but I agree, it's very long and I'm probably gonna need an emulator to finish it. I wasn't even aware they had batteries but I suppose it makes sense now that you think about it.
From what I've heard, there's only 26 gold cartridges in the world and they're like considered the Holy Grail of video game stuff, even though they only have like three premade games on them, so yeah, just for display, no play.

I should just try beating it. It was my first Zelda but I don't really remember much of it. I remember someone asking if all water temples were boring but I couldn't remember the A Link to the Past ones. And most people don't seem to be aware of batteries but that's how a game can actually save progress.
Yeah, at that rate it's just display. I wouldn't even want finger prints on it to put into an NES.

I wanna beat it too, from what I've heard it's one of the better earlier Zelda games, and I really love the retro graphics it has too, I even noticed much to my pleasant surprise a fun game called 'bit Dungeon' took inspiration from the graphics and pixels. That actually makes sense for cartridges, it seems like a lot of those batteries can last a really long time, though!
I know, right? If I owned one, I would worry constantly about it's condition, making sure it was clean and safe, it'd probably be such a chore to own one.

I liked it better than the first game and the Adventure of Link. I like how there is more story and then it's not so bloody difficult. I haven't been able to get past the first dungeon in AoL because I can't find the key, but if someone drops when they die I'll flip. It's a longer game, has some in game story, so I didn't lost, and the challenge is progressive instead of slapping you in the face all the time.

...hmm. I think that about covers it. I actually have more ocarinas but those are the Zelda ones. I don't have a console other than a handheld one, though, so my games are rather limited in that sense. ):
And yes, I can play all of those ocarinas. Ocarini? Ocarini.

What the heck? I didn't know there were so many ocarinas around.
I think you did pretty good for not have a console on hand. My brother and I are kind of crazy about collective consoles but we do live near some specialty stores that have them on hand. I think I have all the major Nintendo Consoles now.
And you should definitely post pictures of your cosplay. x3

There are so many types of ocarinas out there it's not even funny. I have one that you can wear around your neck, one that's shaped like a duck (you play it by blowing into the butt) and one that is literally a teacup.
Aww, thanks! I can't get my hands on any of the major Zelda titles (Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, etc) without a console, sadly. I borrowed my friend's once to play Skyward Sword, but I didn't get much further than the first Sacred Realm... ^^;

Are they difficult to play? I have some experience with the flute and oboe but I don't if either of those are similar.
I'll be the first to admit that Skyward Sword was not one of my favourites because of my sensitive wrist. I killed my wrist when I decided to finish the game after a three month break from it. I still loved the world and it was worth the $50 but I could do without the motion control with when I'm stuck with floppy wrists.
Is the budget or availability of the consoles, if you don't mind me asking?

Actually, they're remarkably easy. o: I don't have much experience with the flute, but I'd say it's pretty similar to a recorder of a clarinet. The fingering's kinda odd at first but you get used to it. I was playing songs within an hour of getting my first one.
Skyward Sword's very fun, yeah, but I thought it was a major difficulty spike. gonk (That or I'm just an idiot that kept dying at that fireball boss in Eldin's Volcano 20 times.) It's one of those games that I'd rather watch than play, kinda like Majora's Mask.
Ahh, budget, as in, I have basically no income so I can't buy games/console for myself. I have to rely on my parents, and they seem to think that video games are reserved for special occasions, like birthdays or Hanukkah. ahh, the joys of not having a job.

My knowledge of a clarinet is basically flipping the sheet music upside down and suddenly, it has the high notes of a flute and the break is something everyone complains about.
I remember almost dying at that boss and getting a little frustrated. I think when it comes down it, difficulty seems depends on how comfortable you are with the controls.
I have a job and it doesn't feel I have much money now either. I have to put a lot of it towards buying textbooks for school because those things are worth an arm and a leg. It kind of stinks when your parents are picky about games. My mom got them so we didn't kill each other during the summer.
At least your handheld record is better than mine. I have a lot of games but have not touched them. I got the Oracle games for like $60 together and still haven't touched them.
