She knew there were scholarship students, however her understanding was that they were very few and far between.

She knew there were scholarship students, however her understanding was that they were very few and far between. "My parents are paying." Clover said. "They're elsewhere in Japan right now due to work, and I'm living next to the school."

"They're staying in Osaka right now. They normally live in Nagano." Clover said. "I'm terrible with directions and distance, so I have no idea how far that is from where I live."

"I, ah... I meant the restaurant. Should I perhaps call a car?" Suddenly worried that he had managed to get them lost, just as her stomach was starting to protest how long it had been since lunch.

Offering a rueful smile as she spoke. Clover looked at his phone. "Well, we should be there in five minutes, and it's on our left, I think." Clover said, looking at what Shiny carried. He truly did feel her pain, as he had to carry many books as well. He was a little quieter about the pain, though.

Little Miss Shiny "That's not so bad then." She fell into a comfortable silence for the remainder of the walk. When they reached the restaurant she reached for the door, glad to be out of the frigid cold, and slipped inside. He followed Shiny inside and slowly unraveled his scarf from his neck. He walked up to the maître d. "Hello! Do you have a table for two?" He asked. The lady who was the maître d smiled back at them. "Yes, we do. Come this way, please." she said, grabbing two menus and walking off. Clover stopped to wait for Shiny. "Their service is pretty fast, so there's nearly always a table when you walk in." he explained. "Take your time with your things."

Shiny followed after Clover to their table, waiting until they reached it before beginning the process of shedding all the layers of winter things. Once that was done she sat down, smiling as she thanked the maitre for handing her a menu and then listening as the woman described the specials for the day.

Clover took a look at the menu. Even though he wasn't one for sushi, he was happy that they offered other choices too. His eyes fell on chicken katsu, yakitori, and tonkatsu. He felt as if he'd have a tough decision to make. "See anything you like so far?" he asked Shiny.

He felt as if he'd have a tough decision to make. "See anything you like so far?" he asked Shiny. "The oyakodon looks good, I think I'll get that." The server came by then and Shiny gave her order of the house tea and chicken and egg dish, then waited for Clover to give his as well. When the server left to put in their orders, she turned back towards her companion with a smile. "I understand you're part of the kendo club with Mori-sempai, yes? How long have you studied the sport?"

"Uhh... Well, only two years on my own." Clover replied, placing his order for the yakitori and a bowl of rice. "I mostly do it to stay fit. Is the host club your only commitment currently?"

"I've been living on my own for only a couple of years as well." Smiling warmly to find they shared that in common, "And I am also part of the school's competitive ballet troupe. Which is not the same as the dance club, to be clear."
