The Host King--- Tamaki Vice Captain

Tamaki might've noticed how she inconspicuously kicked the bag under her chair, but unlike another host there, he didn't look into things as deeply and simply accepted his friend's offer to join the two of them until the two needed to get ready. "Literature essay?" He blinked owlishly, his eyes darting between the two as if searching for more answers on the subject. The host king was more a history person himself, and she seemed to be already getting answers from Kyouya whom was the top student, so he wasn't sure how much help he could be to the young maiden--- though he still couldn't help but feel curious. "What kind of essay?"

The Host King--- Tamaki Tamaki might've noticed how she inconspicuously kicked the bag under her chair, but unlike another host there, he didn't look into things as deeply and simply accepted his friend's offer to join the two of them until the two needed to get ready. "What kind of essay?" "Ehhhh," Juni rubbed at the back of her head. Apparently, there were a few Japanese mannerisms she'd picked up after a term at Ouran. "We are...are, analyzing poetry from, from famous Spanish poets. Discussing the, the poetry, mostly. I, ah..." she paused, trying to figure out how to say what she meant without sounding horrendously stuck up about it. "It is, ah, my native language. So I, I am...I have a more, ah, intimate --" She paused. Ooops, that was probably not the word she'd wanted to use, oh well, nothing for it now, "a more involved reaction? I am, am trying to, to figure out how to be...critical of the, the poem." Hmm, advantage of dark skin: hides blushes, or it would if she could just get her dratted body language under control. "I am, um, stumped."

"I am, um, stumped." Kyouya considered this, briefly, perched on the edge of his chair with his hands folded. "Perhaps an odd suggestion, but as you seem to be finding the subject to be more personal, it might be worth attempting to detach yourself from it. Consider it from someone else's perspective, perhaps?" He glanced over at Tamaki to see if his best friend had any other ideas. This idea was signature-Kyouya, after all, the continual displacement of self from attachment, and it would not suit everyone.

(( I totally missed that there had been a reply to this, ages ago! Bah! )) Ootori_K Kyouya considered this, briefly, perched on the edge of his chair with his hands folded. Juni frowned, thinking about this, then shook her head ruefully. "I, I think I would have to, to pick a different poem," she admitted. "It is...if I were, were someone else, I would not have picked this one?" She sat back, and stared at the vaulted ceiling of the music room. "I wonder if, if it would be...hm." She stopped mid-sentence, apparently having had a thought. "I suppose I could, ah, dissect it as, as the object of, of the poem might. If I, ah, wrote the essay from, from the perspective of the target - if it were, were unwelcome, or welcome but pretending to be unwelcome."
