All the tech talk that went on between Kyouya and Juni went right over Honey's head. He knew what a bluetooth was but how would an old phone help things. It was like trying to understand some kind of alien language never heard before. What he did understand was that it was to help the rose machine; which was a welcome adjustment since the damned thing messaged up his performance average the last time he did a trick through the doors. Despite Honey not really knowing what they were talking about, he was open to help in anyway possible and he knew Mori would do the same. Standing up straight and salting to both the third son and Juni he smiled. "How can we help?"

"Simple enough. Let's take it apart and see what's actually wrong." Kyouya disappeared into the kitchen briefly, reappearing with the tool box he kept under the sink. He set it on the table next to the new mini-computer, and opened it up, withdrawing a screwdriver. "We'll probably have to have a look at all of it," he noted thoughtfully. "The problem could be anywhere within the wiring. So if you wouldn't mind dealing with the parts over the doors ... " Kyouya was tall, but not as tall as Mori, and not as tall as Mori with Honey on his shoulders. He himself went after the wall panel that concealed their current control box. "Juni, even if we don't have to replace this, we'll still probably want spare parts and additional dispensers," he said over his shoulder as he set to work. "What would you recommend to work best with the hardware you've given us?"

"What would you recommend to work best with the hardware you've given us?" Juni stepped back to let the boys go after the wall - it was, after all, their Host Club. She considered the question. "If you have options that, that already speak USB, that will be, ah, best. But if it is simple 'on-off' or such, I can make, make a USB converter with parts and, and a soldering iron." Soldering iron - now there was other vocabulary Juni had not expected to need to learn. "Is no big hardship to, to do. I know the, the..." she frowned. Pinouts. Not something she knew how to say. "I know how to make them," she concluded, not feeling like hauling out the dictionary right then. "But this is, is like a machine for the theater, yes? That blows snow on, on the actors? I do not know so much how they work. I chose USB on the computer, because it was, ah, the most ubiquitous."

After Kyouya brought the tool box out, Mori took a screwdriver as well before picking Honey and placing him on his shoulders. "Here," he said to the small blond, handing it to him before heading over to the concealed dispenser over the door so he could take the screws from it.
As he listened to Juni and Kyouya continue their tech and hardware talk, most of it went over his head too; he was not tech savvy beyond being a casual consumer. Still, he (and his cousin) could handle dismantling things and maintenance, at the very least.

(messed up too much so I changed ) Being picked up and placed on his cousin's shoulders was the best feeling. the world becomes a more open place to him with everything that he could see. Honey took the screwdriver and he looked at the door. Taking out the screws should be easy. There's no way to screw that up right? (........*da dum diiishhhhh*) Carefully he to twist the screwdriver until the little piece of metal came out the hole. "Like this?" he asked out loud while going to grab another and repeat the process. He held up the metal to make sure it didn't hit anybody and fall.

"Yeah," Mori asked as he watched Honey remove the screws from the panel. As each screw was removed, he let his cousin place them in his waiting palm -- once he had them all, he slipped them into his blazer pocket for now so they wouldn't lose them.
While keeping one hand on his cousin's leg so he wouldn't fall from his shoulders, he reached up with his free one to help bring down the loosened panel and held onto it. "What do you see?" he asked the little blond as he peered up into the dispenser compartment as best as he could. He couldn't be sure from his angle, but it looked like there were wires out of place... a well-dressed mouse had probably managed to find its way up there, too. That would explain why the dispenser had been on the fritz (and had not gained sentience).

For his own part, Kyouya had gone off to throw the breaker switch, and then taken apart the panel the main control box was stored inside. He lifted it out, and disconnected it from the remainder of the wires, so that the cousins could pull the rest of them out from the wall if they needed to. He turned the box over in his hands, then unscrewed the lid and checked it over. "Hm." His jury-rigged fix had held, but wasn't in the greatest of shape, and there seemed to be some corrosion on the wire leads. "Probably best to just replace this," he observed.

It would, would probably die sooner than otherwise it might."

Ootori_K keshwyn Juni eyed the wires, and nodded. "The corrosion would, ah, mean there has been voltage drop - the, the machine is probably, um, more worn than it, ah, should be. It would, would probably die sooner than otherwise it might." "Mm. You're probably right, and it gets more wear than it should. I don't think it was originally intended to do more than a one-night use for a party." As he set the box down, it showed signs of repeated repair. Kyouya took the new box over to the wall panel, and mentally compared the two to see if it'd fit. It was a bit more snug than the previous one, but there seemed to be enough space. "How are the rest of the wires?" he asked the cousins. "If they're not damaged up there, we could possibly cut a bit off to reach cleaner wire down here."

The lolita looked over at the mess of blue, red and black wires. He thought he even saw a yellow. The cords ran every which-way made Honey confused at how someone would be able to make a living of of being able to keep up with what each wire is and what they did. Taking another glance over and inspecting if any damage has been done, he spend 5 minutes looking at the wires before giving a thumbs up. "It looks good from here! Nothing looks to be damaged!"

"Sounds good." Kyouya pulled the wire cutters from the toolbox and went to work cutting and stripping the wires down below. A few minutes later, after a brief moment where it looked like he was going to swear at the recalcitrant yellow wire, the new box was hooked in. "Let's give it a trial run before we close everything up?" he asked, heading off to the kitchen to reset the breaker.

He moved away from the door to set the panel he'd been holding down, then stood Honey back on the floor. To trigger the dispenser, he stepped out into the hallway and waited a few moments before walking through the door again.
The machine operated, but the petals didn't really flow down as gracefully as they should have. A low noise came from the dispenser itself as bits of red dropped from it limply onto the floor and on the tall host's head and shoulders.

The excitement on whether the machine worked got Honey excited to see what their work has done. However, hearing the low noise and the limp pedal fall onto his cousin greatly disappointed the little blonde. "Aaaaawww, it didn't work? And it didn't make that noise before....." Honey paused before he came to the conclusion and had to ask everyone for confirmation. "Is is possible to further break something that's already broken? Cause I think we broked it again." he said with comic tears in his eyes with bad grammar intended and all.

Oh dear, Hunny is about to cry - that won't do at all! wrote itself in large anxious letters above the Colombian girl's head. Juni looked around and finally found one of the wooden-backed chairs (as opposed to an overstuffed one) and dragged it over to beneath the doorway. Then she scrambled up, balancing (slightly precariously) on the back of it, using it as an ersatz stepladder. A moment later, still perched on the chair and clinging to the top of the doorframe, she made a disgusted noise and started fishing around in her pocket for something, coming out with one of those super-splufty multitools. You know, the kind with sixteen different screwdriver attachments, a bottle opener, a corkscrew, pliers, and - in her case - a magnifying glass and a pair of needle-nose tweezers. She let go of the doorframe, holding the magnifying glass up to one eye while she fished around inside the dispenser with the tweezers. I really, really, really hope nobody comes through the door right now...wait, did Mori-sempai go back out into the hall? I don't remember...
