Well, the good thing is that God is perfectly willing to give you as many chances as you needs. Honestly, it's really not about your ability to succeed - it's your willingness to get up and try again when you fall that means the most. Try reading the book of Proverbs for a bit; it has a lot of good advice that, if seriously considered and followed, can help you throughout your daily life. ^^

Thank you. (: And that sounds like a good idea to me. It's been pretty much forever since I've read Proverbs.

Lately I've been drifting away from God, and the people I know. I've just been drifting, not doing much of anything, mostly out of fear for the future and partly out of laziness. I haven't been living how God would want me to, and have had issues with trust. I just feel like I've been screwing up, over and over, and I really want to stop this because I'm sick of living like this. I want to be closer to God and to trust Him completely, and I feel a bit selfish for asking this when there are others with medical issues and other things, but if you would want to pray for me I would really appreciate it.

I know exactly how you feel right now sweatdrop i'm having the same dilema. although our exact circumstances may be different) it helps to know that others care about you and are keeping you in their thoughts so I will definitely be praying for you 3nodding

Thank you. It really does help. All of you have been very encouraging, and I seriously appreciate it. And I'll pray for you too. C:

Np, and thanks! 4laugh let's keep the prayer circle going!

My prayers are with you both ♥
Here are some verses to help lift you up. : )

"Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ..." Matthew 6:25-34

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”

He loves you SO much. You are precious in His eyes. He will not abandon you. Trust in Him always- trust His words, His promises to you. Pray when you feel bad- ask for forgiveness and repent [make a conscious decision to turn away from that sin that you are/have struggled with]

thank you soooo much Spirit Reborn. I am literally crying right now. Thank you. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly. Peace.

I'm kind of in the same boat actually. I will definitely pray for you and maybe you could pray for me as well. Like I said, I've been having the same problems exactly. Slipping away. We need to pray for each other. God bless you and your loved ones. Peace.

Thank you. c: It seems so easy just to drift away a lot of the time, even if it it's doing more harm than good. I'll pray for you too. heart

I can't thank you enough. God bless and keep you.

THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of our
trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,
which He lavished upon us”
(Ephesians 1:7-8, ESV).

I feel that we in the church have not begun to
scratch the surface of grace. We
take a few sips from the cup of grace from time to
time in our walk with God,
and then we gradually start to rely on our abilities
the rest of the way.

We cannot pick and choose our areas of obedience.
We are required to do what
the Lord calls us to do. When Jesus says we are to
be born again, to have
faith, to pray and seek His face, to love our neighbor,
to love our wife as
Christ loves the church, His every command is yes
and amen. Yet some churches
prefer certain areas of obedience over others. They
emphasize evangelism, or
social justice, or political activism, or serving the
poor, or prayer. They may
not admit it, but they see other churches’ emphases
as lesser in God’s eyes.

No church is pleasing to God when it runs on one
cylinder instead of eight. He
simply will not allow us to ignore certain of His
commands. Read Revelation 3
to get a picture of His displeasure when we do that.
Any person or church who
is not obeying God’s commands is living in
disobedience. Yet, perfect
obedience is not within the realm of our ability. The
reason we tend to
emphasize certain areas of obedience in our lives is
because they are easier to
fulfill than others. We may even get rewarded for
doing them. But that misses
the point completely.

Having a life of joy and victory does not hinge on
whether we succeed or fail
at obeying God’s commands; it has everything to do
with how we go about
obeying God’s commands. I was taught as a child in
church that I could
manifest spiritual changes by my own will. Youth
leaders told us, “You can
change yourself so that temptations don’t return.
You can pull yourself up
out of anything.” It does not take us long to see how
futile this is.

The point is not to make changes in ourselves. The
point is to allow God’s
grace to empower us to transformation—in
ourselves and in our world.

Thank you for this. I've had problems with "forcing" myself to try to have a better relationship with God when I've started to drift like this before. Then I'd get discouraged, and drift away again, feeling frustrated. I don't want this to be the case this time.

Yes, we need to help and support each other. =3
I'll be glad to support both of you in my prayer.

Let God be your priority above all and you'll find delight and joy in Him through your everyday life.

I definitely need to make God a priority. Mostly I've been spending less and less time with Him, or just kind of cramming Him in at the end of the day when I'm tired and my mind tends to wander away more. And even when I make time, my heart isn't really in it, which really bothers me. And thank you. heart

That's so great! You really have a great direction as in which area of life you should improve. Don't give up on what you've said, pursue it and ask the help of Holy Spirit.
Super!! *thumbs up* I will keep on prayer =)
It is a really good lesson for me too ^_^

I'm glad. And thanks again. I'm really thankful for all the support you guys've shown. I guess I was expecting to be brushed off or something, since there are a lot of people around here who are either asking for prayers for loved ones, or sicknesses and such, and I felt like mine was kinda "bawwww what about meee I haz issuuuues!" Shows how much I know, haha. Plus I didn't even think about the fact that there would be others having similar problems, so I'm glad we're able to pray for each other. 3nodding

My assumption is most people think that it is too small of matter, thus no one really requests the prayer. sweatdrop
But once you posted, realize how many people are actually in the same boat for this prayer request! eek
