Lavender eyes stared around at chaos.
So many times had her own actions caused discord, dismay... catastrophes of a minor scale, wrenching emotional pain and unforgivable misdeeds.

But... she had found, not forgiveness, but acceptance- with him. Joy. He saw what was wrong with her, and with their past, but now.... they were together, and that was more than enough. He loved her, all of her, every little detail and every hair on her head... her soul-mate, her everything, her eternal Bliss.
And now... now, everything else had turned to ruin. Driven away from everything she had ever known, lost in darkness, she had emerged- and she now journeyed towards Him.

He had survived. He would flourish. They would endure.

A pang twisted her heart as she thought of the family she had come so close to reuniting with. And they...?
The pain squeezed again, and she gasped, clutching her heart as her fingers curled around... the woman stopped, peering down at her new form, wondering how she could have emerged from the black void to see... fingers?

Delicate and long, they spread gently as she gazed in wonder, a cascade of silvery hair tumbling over her shoulder and shielding her face from view.
She looked up, staring at those around her- some familiar, some new... but where? How?
Oh, did it matter, if only...?

Lavender eyes sought their perfect pair.
Please...?

Anastasia's muscles burned and ached as she continued on towards...where ever it was she was going. Many surrounded her, though she couldn't quite see them, traveling away from the destruction of their home. Many where hurt, others were helping the wounded get away. Tears stung her already tired eyes as she thought once more of her missing family and could only hope beyond hope that they were alright and on their way to better places.
A wayward strand of hair stuck to her sticky cheek and she paused for a moment to put her once immaculate hair back in the tie that was holding the frizzy mass from her face and neck. She had been unable to walk away from the destruction as fabulously as some, her once finely sewn dress with its many beads and trinkets was now sooty, filled with holes, and un-graciously hanging off of one shoulder, refusing to stay in place since being torn. For a moment she wondered if she had ever been so dirty in her life, then snapped back to attention in time to keep herself from tumbling over her feet, eyes back on her surroundings for any sign of her loved ones.

Kian passed through the lands, dumbstruck by what he had seen.
He had returned, to the place he had met her- a gardener, a plant-lover, tinkling golden brown and exuding kindness as she greeted him...
And... ash, charred trees- barely recognizable- how had such prosperous terrain turned to this?

He shook his head in amazement, holding his hand up to his head and wishing the dull ache would just go away. It didn't make sense, any of it, and when he tried to understand he got so mad that he just backed away from the emotion. He was raised to be polite, and courteous, and he was noble and honorable and pure.... he would not indulge in an angry tirade, nor would he lash out- no matter how hurt and confused he was.

But.... how had this happened? Was she okay? Was she...

He glanced at a pile of ash, settled at the base of what was once a tree- wondering whether it was one of those plants he had tried to name and find for her... now? Just... gone.
He heard something, moving towards him, and raised his hand to shield his eyes from the glaring sun.

"Hello?"

(I will be using Mikasi'Nell his familiar and his daughter whom had just arrived as a basket in soq for now but, may toss in more later c8 )
The devastation had been swift.
It left the man shaken..heart wrenched as he cradled his new daughter near..the one he called friend anxiously flitting about..her own eyes overflowing with tears. What would they do?
Where had his beloved gone and, his other precious daughter? He'd sworn to protect them! Sworn to give his life for the sake of theirs should the need arise yet, now Mikasi' Nell found himself alone..their whereabouts currently unknown. Rain's Song stood tall even at her tiny height, sniffles left her..heart, body and soul trembling like a newborn on unsteady legs. Beside her friend the usually bouncy female felt nothing but dread. Despite the fear and, anxiety rushing..pulsating among not only him..the others nearby. All around them seemed equally lost. Mikasi' Nell wouldn't leave anyone else in shambles. So with a small breath the tall male handed his squirming child over to Rain "Keep her close..let us help our brethren. Then I will find her..no matter how long it takes." All hope had not been lost yet. Surely there could be a glimmer, a shimmer of hope for a better tomorrow if they all believed hard enough. Spotting a stumbling, disheveled woman (Anastasia) he moved forward wondering if she too had lost someone special. "Be careful Miss..are you looking for someone as well? Perhaps we can look together." Rain trailed after him with a silent sense of determination returning..the tears had faded..leaving clean 'tracks' down her sooty little face.

User ImageKaia limped as she made her way through the forest. Over the past few days everything she knew was destroyed. She had been in a panic to reach her family in time to help but in her rush put herself in danger. Danger that she herself was now paying for. After being attacked she had been left for dead. The forest fire's flames licked at her before she struggled to get away. One of her headwings had been burnt to a damn near nub, what was left of her tricolored tail feathers were burnt and falling off leaving a trail mixed with blood and feathers in her wake. Her normal creamed sweater was in burnt tatters. Blood soaked most of it with only the darkest parts of her wispy smoke pattern on it poking through. Her right leg was hurt the worst with thick gashes going down it.

Everything hurt. Everything was starting to blur. Soon Kaia feared that she would pass out and never wake up again.

She feared that fate the most. She feared dying like this! Alone and scared with no knowledge of where her family was, if they were alive or dead, even if she did live what was going to happen now? No, Kaia never wanted to go out like this with these kinds of fears on her mind. But in order to survive she knew the first thing to do was to find others, perhaps a doctor. Without that she wouldn't last long. Her blood loss was great and infection would surely set in soon if her wounds weren't cleaned right.

There had to be people left....right? She hadn't seen any so far but...it was illogical to think that no one survived but her. No, she simply had to make it to them. Hopefully she had enough fight in her to do that much. "Pl-please...help....anyone...help!" Her horse voice cried out to the darkness as she stopped, her battered body leaning against a charred tree that was doing as well as her for support. Hopefully someone with a sense of decency was in the area. Hopefully there wasn't anymore of those insane monsters that attacked her to began with around.

Hey, a girl could hope, right?

Neva kept out of the way of those she saw, though if anyone paid any attention, they would hear the slight ring of bells. Her staff was wound with a red ribbon and small bells, and if one looked closely they would see blood stains on the once pure silver bells.

There was chaos all around, and the elf was still gathering the information she needed. And also, she was looking for the perfect victim, and while they were all stragglers, there had to be one she could further break down. And so she kept moving, and kept looking.

Yáviel could vaguely hear someone...or something moving up ahead so she slowed her bare feet moving one slow and strained step at a time. The sound vanished as soon as she heard it. The dryad stopped and crouched as she waited and listened, looking down at the weak glow of her companions in her hand. She could do this she HAD to keep going maybe someone could help them, she was Yáviel Goldenleaf after all and she never have up.

Taking a deep breath she stood up and moved toward whatever she had heard up ahead. As she crested a small rise her golden eyes immediately zeroed in on the figure sitting at the base of one of the charred trees. It was him... The charming stranger who had once offered to help her hunt for herbs. That seamed a world away now.

"Kian!" Yáviel shouted and ran to him not caring that her hair bells tinkled happily as she did so. When she covered the distance she sank to her knees and not caring threw her remaining arm around him, careful not to squish her fireflies.

He walked slowly, his mind blank of anything but the instinct to look for his family, and his eyes glued to the charred dirt passing beneath his feet. It had been a bad idea to move, despite the many reasons it had seemed like a good one at the time. Or, perhaps, it was just the land he had chosen poorly. Evangeline had assured him it was a lush, prosperous land, a new place for the family to start again. Now, now there was nothing but ash and dust.

His fingers clenched around the shaft of the weapon in his hands, thoughts of his daughters flowing through his head. Were they alive? The family that Jessamine had created (however accidentally at the time) had been scattered around and he wondered if he would ever get the chance to meet them now. There were others who he had some concern for, ones he'd met in the short time he had lived in the new land, but if they were gone he would not be broken, not like if his family was dead.

If they were dead...he would...

Vincent looked up from the ground in front of his feet abruptly and glared at the air in front of him. Resolve shone in his red eyes, and he forcefully pushed the deep melancholy to the back of his thoughts. This was not the way to solve anything, wondering about the future instead of acting. He would search until his last breath for what remained of his family and they would pick up the pieces and start anew. It would not be the first time. That was when he noticed the shapes that seemed to be traveling in the same direction as he was (where was he actually going anyway?).

((First time I've actually made a real rp post for Vincent that wasn't just plots. Too bad this is what it took. :C ))

A sharp pain echoed it's way through his back as he stood up, trying to collect himself. It wasn't often he was knocked about and off his feet from something other than his own doing, so it hurt more than it should have. What was...the last thing that happened, before he lost himself to darkness? He was with her, of course, like he was supposed to be and then....? All was lost. Whatever had attacked the lands was successful, and now nothing but confusion and sadness remained. What was there to do, but try to pick up the pieces? Running his fingers through his blonde, untidy hair, he took in all that he saw at all once, and it made him want to cry. How could something like this have happened? Who could be so cruel? These lands were all he'd ever known his whole life, and now...nothing remained.

Except her, he knew she was here someplace. The destruction had separated them, but only temporarily. He'd find her, whatever it took. They'd come so far together to be taken away so quickly. They had only just restarted, together, anew....and now...now the world was in shambles. Would they be able to survive the destruction of their home, together?

Yes, they would. He smiled, his face relaxing with thoughts of his beloved.

Destruction was everywhere; the trees were burnt to their roots, the grass brown, the sky dark. Was there any turning back at this point? Could there be restoration? Purple orbs gazed at the once beautiful scenery, and the smile that had grazed his face had quickly disappeared. He had called his place home...for so many years. He had raised a family, multiple families here, and now....it was all gone. The memories wiped clean, the happiness shredded. What could he do, but hope they'd find each other?

Something in the air caused the man to sneeze, and he lifted up an arm to cover himself. In any given day, his sneezes would go unnoticed...but today, within the silence and the darkness, it rang loud and clear. And yet...would anyone notice? Everyone around him seemed a shell of someone they once were...and no one seemed to see anything.

She had to be amongst the chaos, and so Bliss called out, "Evelyn?"

The male tensed. He heard bells.
He heard... bells.

A slight ringing in the distance, an omen that seemed to send shivers down his spine. Something felt... wrong. So many things were wrong these days, but... how could a sound that came so welcome from some possess such disharmony from another? Then, a closer bell tinkled its merry tune, and his focus returned to that which was here- now.

His breath caught as the female form rose and her lips formed- his name! It was her!
A grin touched his face for the first time in what felt like forever as joy bubbled up inside. He started to rise, but she had crossed the distance quickly, and her one-armed embrace soothed his weary soul.

She was okay.
The forest...

Struggling with some ingrained sense of propriety, he almost did not return her embrace- but emotion overrode self-control as he slung a quiet arm around her, pressing her lightly against his chest as he gazed at the dying embers in her other hand.
"Yáviel.... i'm sorry." His words trailed off into a broken whisper. It wasn't his fault, none of this was, but was truly sorry to see her in such a state... to see the land in such a state.
But... she was here now.

And maybe, somewhere, there were plants that he could help her nurture.
New life for this new chapter in their lives.

His fingers curled around her subconsciously as he pulled her slightly closer- then released his hold to allow her the freedom to make her own decisions. He had remembered those distant, eerie bells- and a familiar dread returned.
Let this chapter be kinder than the last.

Hopelessness. Abandonment. Loss of oneself.

It was a mixed set of emotions that enveloped the female lying on the ground defeated, beaten down, tossed away like trash. Like she didn’t matter. Like she was nothing more then a piece of trash or something that could easily be erased. But no..she was not going to go like this. She was going to fight for herself and for her family. The family she had wanted so badly. The family that kept her going, kept her alive, kept her feeling wanted. Now what did she have? Her newborn baby was lying beside her crying in the opened basket. She too was tossed away like she didn’t matter. This enraged her. As a mother who protected her child, she felt enraged at the thought of her piece of joy being subjected to such…volatile behavior.

She gripped the ground slowly rising to her feet. With what strength she had left, she picked up her child carrying her close. She gripped her side, the pain moving through her like bolts of electricity as she moved. She was a mess. She could feel it and she needed to find him as well as her other child. She needed to have some form of a family even if her father was nowhere to be found. The thought brought tears to her eyes and she couldn’t help it. They rolled down her cheeks as more pain and worry filled her heart. What if Mikasi wasn’t here? What if Awahi wasn’t either? It was such an unfamiliar place and she tried with all her might to hold back her emotions before she broke down.

She finally managed to get her daughter to settle down before stumbling to the ground. She groaned feeling her shoulder now throbbing from the pain. She was weak, tired, distraught and just plain heartbroken. Then as she lifted her head and as her white hair blew in the gentle breeze she spotted a familiar sight in the distance. A sight she never thought she would ever see. She missed him so much. She remembered the last time they spoke like it was yesterday. The last time they traded hidden words of love and the possibilities of things in the future.

“Mikasi..” Her voice was dry and damaged. She couldn’t move. “Mikasi..” She called out as best she could holding her daughter close feeling more tears roll down her cheeks.

No one answered her back. Was she hallucinating? She didn’t know, but there was nothing around her but darkness. She looked down at Chosovi, seeing her peacefully sleep. Then she broke down.

Even if the rest of her family was dead. She knew she could survive as long as she had him. This was her one true love and the only thing that gave her life some kind of meaning and helped her through all the rough times. She was strong around him. She was finally to become herself and someone that had confidence.

To her…Mikasi was her everything. But right now, she was alone with the only thing to remind her of her long lost love.

(( I will be RPing Astraea and her daughter Chosovi, but she won't be there as much since she is only a baby. ))

Anastasia jumped at the sound of anothers voice, having been so focused on what she was trying to find in the distance that she had failed to notice the immediate. She calmed herself and turned to face the man standing behind her. She tried her best at a composed face but her emotions were weighing heavily on her, she imagined she looked like a kicked dog. "I'm...um..." Her gaze had shifted to behind the kind stranger to see a small woman carrying a child with likeness to the man. Tears immediately sprung back to life and rolled down her cheeks. How was it that this little life was expected to endure this hardship? Where was it written that this had to happen?
Ana inhaled a steadying breath and closed her eyes, counted to three and then looked back to the man. "I'm sorry...yes, I've been searching for my family, or any sign of them being alright."

Amon carried his book, its cover charred but he was able to stop the flames from claiming it before it was destroyed. It was his only possession, the flames having taken all else he held dear in the lands he had only just arrived in. He had hoped to have found adventures, but was met with only destruction.
When a voice met his ears it had been quiet for so long that at first he thought it was the creation of an over active imagination, until he heard it again in the midst of his dismissal. It took him seconds to start tearing through the woods in the direction of the faint voice. How was it he moved so fast, when moments ago he barely felt the urge to walk? But he was running, slowing some when the sight of charred feathers and fresh blood met his green eye. In moments he had dropped to his knees next to the bleeding figure of a woman. His voice was soothing and gentle as he spoke to her, though his hands shook as he gently brushed hair from her face. "My name is Amon Murray, it would be my pleasure to help you miss." Amon focused his hands to hover slightly above her and willed his healing magic to help the struggling woman to survive.

Another glint of metal caught the dim, clouded light and she turned her brown eyes towards it. There was a slight reminder of her family at the sight of the weapon the man clutched. As the shapes around them moved towards the same spot, she angled her footsteps so that she came up close beside him.

He seemed just as determined as the others to find something, anything that would be a good sign for them. She wanted to speak to the man she silently strolled next to, but what was there to say? Finally she decided on something. "Who have you lost?" she asked quietly as she listened to the voices around her of loss or of being reunited.

Iona pushed herself up from the ground, sweeping her long, icy white hair out of her face. She could hear the voice of a girl calling out. "Please help..." She whirled about, her blue eyes searching for her parents, for her brothers. They were supposed to be watching her. They were always watching, protecting. But she couldn't see them near. She stood on her feet, wobbling slightly. "Over here!" she said, calling out to the limping girl who was calling for help. If she couldn't find her brothers, she could at least help others who needed it.

Her name, a summons.
Her breathing hitched as that familiar voice rang out in the dark. Calling her. Calling her home.

Home is where the heart is. And her heart was with him.

There were no doubts, not anymore. Had there ever been doubt, or had there been only fear of the unknown?
She moved in one direction, and then stopped and fled in the other. She had heard him. And he came... from....

There.

She ran, her lithe limbs stretched to their max as adrenaline and sheer joy spurned her towards his waiting form. She ran over ash, and debris, and charred remains- she ran past those who lingered with their loved ones or searched desperately for their soul's pair. There would be time enough to help those in need...
For now, all that mattered was getting to him. Getting back into his embrace, where everything was and always would be Alright.

"Bliss!" she gasped, barely slowing her momentum as she flung herself into his arms.
I'm here.

Would there ever be an end to this madness? Would she ever be allowed happiness for a period longer than a few weeks?

Tears soaked the young woman's face as she stayed very still in the spot where he had left her. He was supposed to be gone only a short while, but it had been ages ago, and then it all happened. At first, she was confused, because one minute everything was fine, and then the next, her home and everything she held dear had gone up in flames. Would she see her family again? Her Papa? Would they have to relocate homes, and start over again? For hours, and what could have been days, she sat there, staring. And then, darkness.

Without him, she feared the darkness most of all. Black was the color of her lover, but also the color of her nightmares, and without him by her side, they would return. She feared the shadows that lurked within the darkness, she feared the voices and the words they whispered when she closed her eyes. She feared being taken, and never seeing him again.

The woman didn't dare move a muscle, for fear of crumbling into a million little pieces. It was once true, a very long time ago, that she was a strong independent woman, but that was all before love had taken over. Now, she needed him, and without him...would she be able to survive? Arms wrapped around her slender legs as she pulled herself into a ball, her face buried in the hole that was left. Her belly had swelled up to the size of a watermelon by now, but she wiggled just enough to where it was comfortable for her to sit like that. She couldn't move - she wouldn't move. If she moved, and he came looking for her, would their paths never cross? So she stayed.

And the children...would they survive, in a world like this? The young woman tried not to think of their arrival as a fast approaching thing like she once did. Now she hoped they'd wait...they'd wait until their father returned...wouldn't they? She couldn't do it all alone, surrounded by her nightmares. She's cave in, eventually, and let the darkness devour her, pregnancy and all...but until then, she'd stick it out in hopes of him returning.

Amongst the tears, Abattie allowed herself a smile. Her stomach had growled. After all this...she had forgotten to eat.
