Leaving an /equine/ shop to create a new shop... Does not equate to starting a puppy dog shop.
Sirenz doesn't own the rights to be the only horse B/C shop on gaia. /cranky XD

I would like to see it kept as horses, but not interested in the native american theme.
it never worked for me, and so many soq had tech, and fantasy gear and what not that it just never fit for me. i would like to see if have a more open theme so fantasy, and tech/gadget pets are more believable in cannon.

oh by all means i don't care if toes get stepped on or not but i just want those who will be running the shop to be aware of the very high possibility of bawwing.
I do agree that there shouldn't be a native american theme at all. Equine is one thing but when you combine it with the same theme as soquili... Yeah.
I'd suggest holding concept contests / brainstorming sessions once you figure out what the pets are going to be / what they're going to look like.

First off those lines are ADORABLE.
Second, Equine NOT Native American and much less...restrictive.
I'd like more magic, doesn't have to be a lot...but I'd like more if we're talking wants. Why not be based in a totally mythic land or even in the far east or something, I don't know.

Tossing in my vote for equines as well. The single strongest lure to the b/c forum in my early gaia years were the horse shops. And my rl favorite animal so I'm always going to be biased towards them XD
But honestly, I will still lurk/watch/participate in whatever this becomes. <3
edit: also agreeing with the no native american theme. I kind of liked it but I think a fantasy theme of some sort would be a better fit.

And as Swirly stated, it's not like Sirenz owns the concept & no one can ever make a horse based breedable period.
I think maybe an overarching fantasy theme, could we have something sort of a myth basis with maybe different 'planes' that species come from & a sort of common ground where they all congregrate?

I'm thinking yes on equine still ....screw them. I DO like the mythical, fantasy pitch smile . Also I can't do much but I'm willing to pitch in to pay for lines <33

What about a world with different levels in makeup. (kinda like Planescape? if I'm getting my games right.) As in, maybe this world had high levels of magic once (which made the animals sentient) but those high levels ended up becoming unstable for one reason or another and broke apart the world into fragments. This has taken the levels of magic to a mimimum but there are still residual aspects and you can still find pockets of concentration. Of course the animals have adapted, some have developed different traits to survive in different areas and gradually, over time, they have found a way to co-exist and mingle. well, at least most of them as there are some breeds which are too dangerous and prefer to maim and kill rather than meet others...
Edit: Or as people do like keeping them as equines... What about going with the Nightmares/Daydreams aspect? The world could be the world of dreams, the Realm of Morpheus. We'd have the different breeds much like before and we could keep the variety that we had before also!

Amirynth's idea made me think of this because it sounds similar, but what about something like the Forest of Doors? It's a LARP that I read about a while ago (that I secretly reeeeally want to participate in...someday) that has the main 'realm' where the rp takes place as a sort of nexus world connecting to all the others. There are doors that lead to different realms, and everyone who is in the 'nexus' has traveled there at some time or other through one of the doors from their universe. We could come up with a few different base-realms (steampunk, tech, high fantasy, native american, etc.) that have doors leading into the nexus universe and maybe even eventually/seasonally/conditionally have the individual realms open for events/metas? Or instead of genres, perhaps have different breeds come from these doors similar to how angeni were supposed to come from above and purewalkers came from below? And introduce a new door for a new breed? I dunno. It's 5:30am and I have no clue if this is making sense. xD I'ma sleep now.
