Yeeah anime and manga make for an expensive habit, I agree. But at least it's possible to get up to 25 episodes per collection of One Piece for about $40, which isn't too bad, I guess.

Manga, on the other hand, $20 a volume sad

True enough.
The price is, for the most part, worth it depending on the title.

Most expensive manga I've seen was around $15, which is still rather expensive for how...little a volume holds.

Yeah you're definitely right about manga, at least you kind of get your money's worth when the volumes contain 45-page chapters rather than 20, as is the case with manga such as Fullmetal Alchemist (which is actually only $12), but still...

Mhm. Just seems like a waste when you spend so much money and all you get is a handful of chapters, when you could spend the same on a different title and get nearly 3 times as much.

a recent addiction of mine that i hadnt really thought would be hugely expensive turns out its is.i love to cook and i have now a dream set of knives....each one costing up to $170....this has proven difficult. i understand the pain of conventions aswell.....

Wow! That is rather expensive, considering. Such a dangerous expense at that.

i suprisingly have not lost a finger....i have fried my ear but no lost fingers...i came close with my pinkie. and fire.......fire is always gun and dangerous.

Gets even worse when you're into cosplaying and going to conventions. ]:

I've wanted to go to conventions, but I don't have any form of transportation that far out of town.

I just went to my first one a few weeks ago. It helps to have people to go with, like a club.

And Bleh, where the hell are you getting your manga from? Are you in like... Canada? Or... where?
The most expensive manga I've bought was around $20 because it wan an omnibus.

Yeah, it does seem like a good idea to go in a group...though that in itself might prove hazardous for me.

No, I live in the U.S....Illinois to be a bit more exact.

Most often, Wal-Mart...which the ones around where I live carry next to nothing.
Occasionally, Barnes & Nobles, though that's a rare occasion. (not very close by)

Well, that was awkward...though very amusing.
