We should have a wine tasting Gala. That would something really fun to roleplay.
And how about a Dance competition party?! That would be a fun one, because you could have prizes for people who roleplay the best dance, and that would be the center game, and the main entertainment.
I'll post more as I think of them.

A Battle Royale party. Every 30 minutes or so you have a hilarious battle take place, and the judges, based on bizarre and random scoring, choose the winner.

We could do a mockup of a fair, with Ferris Wheels and cotton candy and sideshow games and mazes and such. That would be alot of fun.

Some of those ideas are great! Time to throw in some of my own.
One that I've never gotten to do, but always wanted to do, was an "Invite a Friend" party, where everyone who comes has to bring a person with them that isn't a member of the guild. That way you increase membership uber fast and still have a great party. 3nodding
Also, going with the roleplaying lines that Rhapsody is having, a sports party would be fun. We all go out on the mansion lawn and play soccer and football, maybe even invent our own sports and roleplay the game. whee
We could have a scavenger hunt party. Where we make out a blueprint for the house and have someone draw up a list of items of where things are. And based on the blueprint and descriptions of the rooms, an overseer chooses when people find the already placed items, and whoever gets the most wins.

Oh, you're not just looking for party TYPE suggestions, you're looking for ideas to make the parties better.
Hmmm... How about have a post at certain parties detailing what's available at the buffet. And you even list out NPCs that are available for people to talk to and do stuff with.
