She loves seafood, and, though it is a rare commodity lately, she is willing to eat canned tuna. She also loves chocolate, going into an extremely happy mood when she finds some or her brother does. She likes to read, preferably folk tales from her Celtic heritage. She enjoys playing the piano, though it's been a while since she has been able to play on one. Nonetheless, she can still enjoy classical music, even if it isn't piano music. One is being scary stories, even though she now lives in one. Maire is a very innocent-minded and naive on most terms. Despite this, she is very analytical on certain objects. Seeing many musical patterns, she has also learned to put that into play with many other pattern crossings. From crossword puzzles to human behavior, she is able to analyze them all. However, she has a hard time seeing anyone as completely bad. This comes to her pacifist attitude. She i very accepting of all kinds of people, even those who seem to hate her. Many think she's too nice. She tries her best to have an optimistic attitude, trying her best to keep hope in others who are still alive. This is often mistaken as lack of understanding, but she is still very realistic about most situations. She tries her best to be brave about decision making, not wanting to be forever weak.
She doesn't try to think about zombies a lot, trying her best to not let her mind wonder about if they are still partly human or not. Even the fact that they look human terrifies her, making her fear the idea of killing them. However, she had learned to get over this, now able to kill them. If she was bitten, which she hopes will never be the case, she plans to let her brother kill her, or she will do it to herself.

Maire is the oldest child in a very unique mix of Irish and Scottish heritage. Though her name is sacred and is normally not meant for a first name, her parents had named her so because of her odd hair color mutation. She was born a very delicate child, obviously cared for rather gently, being thought of as a treasure by her parents that should not be tainted. It was all revolving upon an old folk tale about a beautiful, green-haired maiden who had caused good fortune to those who captured her by a waterside playing the flute.
Oh course, because of the strong ties her parents still had to their homelands, which are both alike and different, Maire was obviously raised a little too dramatically protected. They were good parents, but they were still overprotective nonetheless. She never learned to play the flute, but she became fond of playing on the piano. She was always a caring, compassionate, and friendly girl who just worried to much about the entire world.
When she was three, and just barely getting into playing the piano, her parents had told her she was going to have a younger sibling. They preferred the idea of a surprise child, not wanting to know the gender of the child beforehand. She was still too young to fully compute everything, but the idea of having someone to take care of was joyous to her. She became rather devoted to the idea of wanting to become a better human being.
When her brother went from an infant to a young child, she constantly was by his side, playing with him and teaching him everything she learns in school. Her bright eyes of curiosity were always equal to his, as her mind was still similar to that of a child. She especially loved to play the piano when possible, loving how he clapped for her at the end of each performance. he was the kind of protective, older sister that seemed to try to be level-headed to a small kid, and she enjoyed it.
As she entered her pre-teen years, Maire's mother grew ill and passed away of cancer. It was the first death that had ever occurred in her life, as far as the young girl knew. It was then that she started to wonder about what she was missing out on, being so sheltered for so long. With her father's permission, and her brother's help, she had soon practiced swordsmanship. She gradually became better, but her father soon stopped her lessons as she started to accidentally injure herself.
Even as they got older, Maire and Aedan were still close siblings. She was protective of him, but he also sometimes acted like the older sibling in their close relationship. She always threatened to hurt someone who bullied Aedan, but he normally ended up doing that for her. Maire was well liked at school, but her naive attitude made her very clueless on those who wanted to take advantage other.
As the epidemic spread, Maire's father had kept her home, afraid that she would end up getting ill. She stayed home, playing her piano most of the time. She didn;t now what to think of about it. She didn't watch a lot of television, so she didn't know much about how bad it was getting. On the day the zombies broke free, it was rather normal. She was at home, practicing a new song, when her brother rushed through the door from school, panting while holding a bag of ammos and miscellaneous items Maire had never seen in her life. Her father, a local policeman, was apparently dead. Aedan told her that they had to leave, so he drove off away from their home, and they never looked back...

Maire is no longer the sheltered, frail girl she was raised to be. She had grown to get used to the idea of using the Flamberge sword that belonged to her mother's ancestors long ago. She and her brother had made a fort on the countryside, but they still have to search for supplies every once in a while. Maire is the one who protects the fort while her brother goes scavenging.
Recently, Maire has been trying to practice using guns, but her practice ended recently as she ended up dislodging her shoulder the last time she tried. As for her overall personality, she still tries to keep herself somewhat innocent so she has some grasp of what used to be so she has a reason to live. Sometimes, her innocent feelings also get into kick, and she sometimes tries to help other survivors, though her brother kicks them out before guns get pointed.
The only car they have is their father's Hybrid. The man was definitely eco-friendly and loved to save money. It helps out a lot for last minute escapes. Maire is still very protective of her younger brother, despite his newly found independence recently. She has learned to heal injury wounds, and she does her best to still protect him. It's hard to do, though, when you aren't as good of a fighter.

Aedan is an adventurer, and he's always willing to try something new. However, that doesn't mean he easily trusts others. In fact, it's quite the opposite. He only trusts what is left of his family. He has a fear of others and what they plan to do, seeing as how he knows how cruel the world can be. He tends to be cold and distant to those who he doesn't know. Once someone does gain at least his alliance, he can become a much easier person to be around. He enjoys scaring people, mostly with stories. He also has a rather dark thought process, which led to him being partly morbid.
Being raised like the old fashioned ways of Ireland, Aedan understands well enough that even some humans deserve to die, so he is alright with killing zombies. He doesn't seem to have an opinion about it other than "kill or be killed". He has that same belief even with humans, though, so he's not the type one would want to make suspicious.

Aedan was born as the youngest child of a Scottish and Irish couple. He was named after St. Aidan of Iona. Also, he opened his eyes five minutes after being born, and laughed at the same time, which had led to his parents thinking he would have a personality similar to the element of fire. It sounds a lot like a fable, but he isn't quite sure if it's real or not. It's just what he was told.
As a toddler, he was a lover of music, especially his sister's piano music, which he would always clap for even at a young age. He was close to his older sister, since she had influenced him with the bright, curious sight of the world. He became a rather happy child, and he was ready to take on the world, to the point where he was already imagining fighting off bad guys since he was four.
Once he was old enough, his father decided to teach his son to become a man of the Kale family. He was trained how to fight, which apparently they still taught in Ireland when his father lived there. He was first taught something he had enjoyed since he was young, which is sword play. He used to enjoy it, but the training was hard, and he slowly lost his love for it as it became more of a task. He then had to go into archery, which hurt his arms at first, but he got the hang of it.
Still trying to hold onto the same positive attitude as his sister, he continued on into the world, not being held back like Maire. He found out soon enough just how cruel the world truly could be, especially to a young boy with childish dreams and adventures. His optimism was slowly eaten at throughout his elementary years, mostly by fellow peers and teachers. His training continued, which is apparently not very custom in America. He was constantly teased when younger because of his weird talents.
He became more of a rebellious kid then, becoming more distant to classmates. At home, though, Aedan was still attempting to be the positive person he once was. He still partially is, but he has a much darker view of the world than his older sister. Though she is older, he constantly is mistaken for being the older on, since he protects her from the minds of perverted guys that she goes to school with. Even though she tells him that she is willing to beat up anyone that bothers him, he doesn't really bring up his school life around her.
When Aedan's mother died of cancer when he was nine, his father became more protective over Aedan. He did let Maire take swordsmanship classes. As for Aedan, he was given less tough love and more of the father son bonding time. He heard stories of his heritage, as well as he was able to learn more about his mom. He was able to see a lighter side once again, but it was short lived as new horrors came.
The epidemic spread, and many of Aedan's classmates became infected. He was glad that his sister was to stay at home. As for him, he believed he was strong enough to handle himself. The day everything happened, he was at school, talking to the only two friends he had. It was lunch time, and kids were obviously enjoying themselves. He was hanging out by the basketball courts outside when a scream was heard. Apparently a little girl was bitten by a teacher. Soon after that, a group of zombies had entered the school, and it was chaos. Aedan luckily was close enough to the edge of the campus to run off. The streets were already filled of zombies, so he had to hurry and find something to fight with.
His only stop was the local hunting store. He wasn't the only one there, of course, but he was the first one to hit the rifles. He grabbed three, as well as as much ammo he could carry in his backpack, and he ran to the police station to look for his father. He did find him, but he was...turned. Aedan then ran home and grabbed his sister, driving off and never planning to return to the city ever again.
xxxx»xNow that I am still alive...
Soon after that eventful day, Aedan had found an abandoned countryside home. He set up as many traps as possible, and he and Maire had made their fort there. He became much more quiet again and had lost most of his optimism. He still has his sword that he's had since he first trained in swordplay, and he uses it. Since they occasionally run out of necessities, Aedan sometimes goes into the local towns to fin items while Maire holds the fort.
Aedan has grown distant from other survivors, running into quite a few wackos that attempted to kill him. When he returns home to find out Maire has let others to their house, he quickly shoos them off. He comes off as pretty edgy about them, and he really can't stand them. He is even willing to point a gun at someone, depending on how dangerous they seem.
Since he is the only one who can drive, he uses their father's Hybrid. The man was definitely eco-friendly and loved to save money. It helps out a lot for last minute escapes. Aedan is still close to his sister, but the entire experience has revealed his true self that he never showed her, so he sometimes feels awkward about that.
