Gwyneira “Gwyn” Davies Gwyn laughed a little, and though it was a chilling sound it held a slight amount of warmth. She had missed him dearly, and now her need for him was growing like a seedling on the first warm days of spring. "It's nothing too exciting that you won't be able to handle, but I can assure you that you're not going to believe a word of it." She then sat back in the chair and made sure to cover her feet with her strangely ice-blue toned dress before he caught sight of the floor beginning to freeze over.
"The night that I had left was the night before the first day of spring, and I may need to be corrected, but time there doesn't pass as quickly as it does here in the Summer world." She cleared her throat before continuing onward with the tale, "And I remember looking out the window just as the moon reached its highest point in the sky, and there I saw the strangest but most beautiful sights; a woman wearing a gown of snow and ice crystals." her eyes and tone of voice proved that she was speaking the truth, but whether he would take it as that much was doubtful. "There was also a carriage drawn by two polar bears, the largest that I've ever seen, and she beckoned for me to go outside and to go to her, so I felt a tugging in my spirit and left the house after pulling on my warmest coat and boots. The moment that I reached her, she placed a kiss on my forehead, but it wasn't like a normal kiss." Her eyes were alight with a mysterious glow. "It seemed to freeze me to the core and I could no longer feel the cold. It felt wonderful, actually, and then she helped me into the carriage after she asked for my name and called me her 'daughter'."
She had to take a breath before continuing, "She then clicked her tongue after we were both in the carriage and we traveled to the northern most point of this world. She told me that I had been destined to join the Ice people as their princess and the future heir to the throne. For several months, I have lived there and learned their ways as well as more about higher society here in the Summer world, or the lands below the north that experience the shifting of seasons." Finally, she was winding down with the tale, getting to the main reason why she had come back, "And just a few weeks ago, I was told that I was to select my life partner, but... none of the men in the north are as interesting or alluring as the Summer people. So... I came back in hopes of finding you, Jonathan."
Then she said in a quiet voice, "Come with me back to my people and you shall find happiness."╔════════════════════════════════Still the breeze that chills, Silent the icy night, Calm the snowy drift, Winter is taking flight…════════════════════════════════╝

Jonathan FlintA fire in my heart and soul...Jonathan's look of intrigue shifted slightly as his eyes widened, "Snow queen? No. Impossible. Snow queen is folk lore generated to keep kids in at winter nights... but problem with theory, Gwyn doesn't lie, been gone for plentiful months, abscence unkown..." Jonathan's thoughts raced, his brain in all to familiar fashion racing off the generate the most probable scenario... but none of it added up, her story succinctly fit all the variables, ticked all the boxes if you will, it was almost too perfect... of course he never ahd a reason to go to the north of the world, too cold up there, many people were frozen to death... or so the reports were, truth was bodies were enver found, so they assumed the cause of death was freezing, too little evidence, amateur assumption... but... chance to see "winter folk" intriguing, assuming that they exist... but... "How can these people grant me happiness? Everything comes at a cost..." his brain listed off in a monotone drone, his heart pleading with him to shut up... "So, whats the catch?" he asked, curiousity toning his voice, his heart desperately wanting to beat him upside the head for such idiocy. ...set ablaze by the thought of the one most important to me.

Gwyneira “Gwyn” Davies Gwyn watched as disbelief, curiosity, and confusion cross over his face and danced in his eyes. She couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking and stood up, walking to the desk and glancing down at his papers and books. Many were on maps and whatnot, nothing that she had ever really cared for and would not have to know until she became the Snow Queen herself. She inwardly cringed at the thought of such a task, to bring death and coldness to the eart once a year and fight back the warriors of the Summer kingdom, those that lived in the warmest areas of the Earth. Fighting had never been one of her strong suits, but if that was what he destiny required, she would fulfill her destiny whether her conscious liked it or not.
She glanced over her shoulder again when he spoke once more, asking the questions that she knew he would ask. He had never been the one to simply pounce on an opportunity unless he could get as much information as he could about it beforehand. "They have granted me the ability to live a prolonged life. I may not live as long as they, but I would live twice as long as a normal human." She then turned and walked over to where he sat, "The only time we may come back to the Summer world is when it's time for the snows to be spread over the Earth again in order to give it a break. And... the catch is up to you."
She leaned in and placed a kiss on his lips, but it was no ordinary kiss. It was frozen and seemingly lonely. She could only grant him the ability to withstand even the lowest of temperatures.╔════════════════════════════════Still the breeze that chills, Silent the icy night, Calm the snowy drift, Winter is taking flight…════════════════════════════════╝

Jonathan FlintA fire in my heart and soul...He listened intently, keeping track of the conversation, a lot of what she was saying probably couldn't be proved, but that was beside the point she- his eys boggled with the suprise kiss, he'd never taken well to surprises, but this was particularly surprising in that it was really cold, peoples lips weren't that cold... of course he only had one sample, himself, to verify that, he was also surprised at the emotion of lonliness flooding thorugh him... he'd been lonely but this put that way into perspective, so this at least proved 2 things, Yes, there are "winter people", and she was indeed one of them now... but she was still herself, so that was good... he had generated a fierce blush when she kissed him which caused his heart to jump upwards screaming hallelujah, his brain just couldn't compute the situation giving the heart full operation capacity... "I-uh-that-what-I can't-something-wha?" unfortunately his heart didn't have control over motor functions such as speech, thus he stuttered like an idiot for a bit... unable to co-oridnate his thought or his actions, he sat there a stupid look on his face as the blush stayed fixed to his face... nothing intelligent sifted through his mind as he sat there... he was just trying to process the situation that just happened. ...set ablaze by the thought of the one most important to me.

Gwyneira “Gwyn” Davies Gwyn hadn't expected herself to do such a thing, especially without faultering or hesitating. My goodness... I can't believe I just did that... She thought before she took a step back and covered her lips with a hand. "S-sorry 'bout that..." She said, slipping into her village accent once again before returning to the frosty accent that was now her normal way of speaking without having to think about it.
She then sat down in the chair that she had been offered earlier due to the weakness in her knees at the current moment. She was trying to regain her composure when she noticed that her hand was becoming warmer and uncomfortable. She would either have to take him now or she would have to leave and find somewhere that still had snow on the ground before coming back. "As I expalined earlier, I am in need of... a life partner and so I have returned to ask you if you would join me in the northern realm of this world." She only had about twenty minutes before she would feel the full draining of her powers and gift melt away. That wouldn't mean that she would become normal again, but she would become ill beyond that of human treatment. She would have to return to the north in order to prevent an untimely and painfully long and antagonizing death.╔════════════════════════════════Still the breeze that chills, Silent the icy night, Calm the snowy drift, Winter is taking flight…════════════════════════════════╝

Jonathan FlintA fire in my heart and soul...Jonathan stammered like an idiot for another minute or two before finally regaing the ability to speak in a straight line and form sentences, "Life partner?" he said bemused by her words, "Why choose me? Ther are plently of other sods out there who'd kill for your affections." Jonathan said, his heart wanting to beat him to a pulp, but he never said that he wouldn't... just that others would, Jonathan still couldn't think clearly and as such was probably going to make bad rather un-informed choices, he hoped that she'd spell things out in simple terms, his brain wasn't doing very well at this point. ...set ablaze by the thought of the one most important to me.

Gwyneira “Gwyn” Davies Gwyn raised a brow at his teasing tone. He hadn't changed as much as she had believed, but then again, change wasn't everything and didn't exactly happen in the course of a few months. "I chose you because I know you, Jon." She said with a small sigh as she lifted her hands to her mouth and blew frost on them in a feeble attempt to keep them cold enough that she wouldn't lose this chance to expalin to him. She didn't want to rush out on their first meeting in her current state because she was now 'melting' as her mother had put it. "The other 'sods' aren't... well, they simply aren't as interesting as you are. I would hate to have to give up someone like you so quickly just to find a 'sod' that couldn't be himself around me."╔════════════════════════════════Still the breeze that chills, Silent the icy night, Calm the snowy drift, Winter is taking flight…════════════════════════════════╝

Jonathan FlintA fire in my heart and soul...Jonathan smirked thinking "Interesting? She makes it sound like I'm a specimen." she was blowing on her hands, cool air from her lungs flowing out, "Porbably natural, prolonged exposure to cold, become cold blooded, reliant on cold, heat, probably hazardous, best not to light fire." Jonathan thought as he eyed the fire place, recalling the fire place they sat around when the old woman told them stories... "I wonder..." Jonathan paused, this whole "snow people" scenario sounded a bit off, a tad unrealistic to him, but... wasn't the principle of science to gain knowledge through experimentation? To see this as-of-yet unexplored land would certainly be interesting... but then there was Gwyn's adoptive "Mother" the "Snow Queen" as hard as it would be to believe, given Gwyn's state and incredibly cold body there have to be snow people, and if the snow people are real then their queen should be just as real... and bets are she wouldn't take to well to... what did they call them? The summer folk?... well, normal humans being around her people, but "I s'pose seeing your proof of these fairy tales couldn't hurt... after all, science is the pursuit of knowledge." Jonathan said, skepticism toning his voice, but curiousity was also there, even if it turned out just as he thought it would be, a trip to the top of the world and back again he'll still have done something no-one else had up to that point. ...set ablaze by the thought of the one most important to me.

Gwyneira “Gwyn” Davies Gwyn wasn't suprised by his desire to analyze her new people, but why shouldn't he? There was much to be introduced to the human world if information leaked out about the Ice people and Summer people. So many things could be changed, so many mysteries of the world solved. Then again, secrecy was the Ice and Summer people's advantage to surviving in the human world. Glamour spells were nearly required for every and any visit to a human population. She reached out and took his warm hand within her nearly frozen one and gave it a reassuring squeeze, "I shall make sure that you are greeted properly." She then stood up and hoped that he would wait for her yet again. "Unless you'd like to come with me now. I might not be the most pleasant of company, though, until we reach a snowy place. My body cannot handle these temperatures for long periods of time."╔════════════════════════════════Still the breeze that chills, Silent the icy night, Calm the snowy drift, Winter is taking flight…════════════════════════════════╝

Jonathan FlintA fire in my heart and soul...Jonathan smirked again, "You had a penchant for not being the best travel buddy anyways." he said with a mischievous grin on his face, "Anyways, shall we away? It'll at the very least be fun to travel with you." his thoughts finally catching up with his actions he stamerred "...t-t-to the north pole of course..." a slight blush appearing on his face, he looked her up and down, she really hadn't changed much visually, but she did say that their time moved slightly slower than the normal humans, either way, a visit to the upper hemisphere was a thrilling experience, and being with Gwyn made it all the more fun, the smile at his evident amusement permeating his actions, the blush still staying on his face as he smiled, "S'pose you could gimme a sec or two to pack some things? Like clothes changes, a thick winter coat, etc?" he asked, hoping that she could bear with him and his warm bloodedness just a little longer as he got the essentials for cold exploration. ...set ablaze by the thought of the one most important to me.
