I'd definitely play a Half-Orc Barb, who would be the Son of Ganusk. twisted

Virulent Lover Unless there is complaint from Rain, the rules will be similar to his Coliseum with some changes minor changes specifically allowed sources. I'll edit the first post. Once we get enough stated interest, I'll be changing the poll as well, to vote on team size. The possibility for PvP will be there as rounds advance but it will be primarily PvE.I have a fair chunk of gold lying around(30mil, just about), so I may figure out some sort of prize. For those who care, save logging in for this guild, I've practically quit Gaia. This has kept me from doing so completely though. Oh wow. I thought you meant the general format. You kept it nearly EXACTLY the same! eek You don't think it could have been improved upon? I do. Also, consider making the monster teams more strict, or building them yourself. I found out the hard way exactly what a swarm-heavy encounter will do to a party that's ill prepared to deal with it. Likewise, I think many other players did too.

Also, if I participate in this, I'm making a wizard PC. Or rather, remaking a wizard PC. I've used one at a type of coliseum-esque game at a convention before, on two different occasions.
The look on my fellow gamers' faces when they realize either I, and/or my character, is completely insane is always priceless.

Rain Yupa Oh wow. I thought you meant the general format. You kept it nearly EXACTLY the same! eek You don't think it could have been improved upon? I do. Likewise, I think many other players did too. Yeah, it seemed to work. Odds are, I'll make changes if I do it again. Hard to say what was an issue from a DM's perspective, without being the DM. Speaking of the monsters, I'll need to PM you.

New poll is up, this time to vote on team size.
As far as everyone making characters, there will be rules for the teams posted soon as I get a chance. Just need to figure out team size, first.

I was about to say, hard for YOU? =P At the end of the encounter Ganusk's ankles looked like pin cushions. Also, I said 4 people teams. 1, it means that if someone leaves it's not as noticeable, and 2, I liked Rain's idea of having to have 1 of each role. Might be unpractical, but we'll see when a few more names have come in. Need to get out primal power and have a look at Barb options. >.<

I, as the DM, am heavily leaning towards 1 of each role per party. I'm also considering some other restrictions. Four players per team seems a bit much, if only from the perspective that it limits total teams. As it is, we're looking at 1 to 2 teams, if we do 4 players. I really don't want less than 4 teams, going in.

If it remains tied, I'll probably go with 3 as it is a happy medium, so to say.
As for teams, I'll be allowing only 1 of each role, to increase diversity. On top of that, teams must be comprised of all the same race or completely different races. For example, an all human team consisting of a Warlord, a Fighter and a Seeker would be allowed, as would an Elf Ranger, a Dwarf Cleric and a Shardmind Psion. But a team comprised of two Half-orcs and a Mul would be illegal, as would a team comprised of a Barbarian, an Avenger and a Fighter.

I was thinking about it for a bit. I just placed my vote, for 2. We've seen how 3 people work in the last Coliseum; We've accustomed to 4 (or more) in normal games. I think a 2-player dynamic is one worth exploring.
That said, as far as mechanics go, Melnick Flamborough, Human Wizard is already statted out, and has been for about a week now.
