"Alright, wake him we will, just hang on a second" she said as she ran to the lake and caught three fish, she would catch more later if need be, she picked them up and walked back to Gersif and gestured towards the cave "come on" she said as best as she could with three fish hanging from her mouth and started back towards the cave.

Odessa had entered the cave after Gersif and placed the fish on the ground and started to cut one fish up into bite sized pieces for Oliver with her claws.

Oliver aroused slowly and yawned "Aww why did you wake me up? I was having a nice dream" he said as he sniffed and smelt food "ooo, fish!" he said as he jumped down and ran to his mother "wait...this isn't good news, this is normal, every day lunch!" He said as he pouted a little.

Odessa giggled "this isn't the good news, darling" she said as she stopped cutting up the fish and placed Oliver on her lap "what your father and I are trying to tell you is..." she said as she looked at Gersif, wondering who was going to tell him"

"Is...? Come on, what are you trying to say!" He asked excitedly.

Oliver looked back at his mother and then at Gersif again to see if they were joking or not before a grin appeared on his face "I am going to be a brother!?" He asked rhetorically more then anything "I always wanted brothers and sisters but mama said she was unable to have anymore children since daddy wasn't here, at least I will be able to have someone to play with now!" He said happily, he couldn't want for them to get here.

Odessa nuzzled the pup "I am glad you like the idea" she said as she finished cutting up the fish "just please, eat something before you carry on being excited" she said as she smiled at the pup who started to eat.

Oliver laid down and ate, excitement still there but the food was more important to him right now so being happy can wait.

"So, what do you guys want to do after this?" She asked curiously before her eyes laid on the necklace, still in the same place she left it that night and sighed, knowing there was something she and Gersif had to do but didn't want to think about it right now, she still had to get Electra to help send Oli's parents over to the other side but she just still couldn't bring herself to do it and so she looked away from the necklace for the time being.

Oliver had looked up at the time his mother looked over at the ring, it was pretty hard not to considering he had only seen it the last several days sitting there himself but decided to not question it and carried on eating, finishing his mouthful he looked up at Odessa and Gersif "so, when are you going to send my parents to the other side?" He asked curiously, having heard some of the stuff about 'the other side' from Electra.

"I...I don't know what you mean" Odessa said smiling at the pup "we are your parents" she said, deciding to say nothing else.

"It's alright, I know, I over heard Aunt Sayako and Uncle Thane talking about it, they didn't know I was there, I went back to Uncle Thane's cave and they were talking about it, they thought I was with my grandparents, it doesn't matter though, I just want to speak to them before they go" he said, feeling upset a bit about the whole thing but he had accepted it for the most part. Oliver was moving on. He couldn't deny how hurt and upset he was, they were his parents, he may never met his father and the little about his mother he did know he loved and would always love her but still, he was moving on, he could accept it no matter how hurt he was.

Odessa looked at Gersif, not sure what to say, sure they couldn't carry on the charade anymore but still, she wasn't sure what to say.

"Hi guys" Sayako said as she and Thane entered the cave "I am sorry to..." Sayako stopped and looked at the others, the atmosphere in the room wasn't the usual friendly atmosphere they had grown accustomed to when being in this cave, something was wrong "umm why do I feel like we have just walked in on something?" She asked, looking between them all.

Odessa looked at Sayako and shrugged and mouthed 'I don't know how' and looked back at Oliver who was still carrying on eating as if it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Sayako looked at Thane and bit her lip as she was going to say something when Thane walked over and nuzzled Oliver.

"Oliver" Thane said as Oliver stopped and Thane picked him up by the scruff of the neck and placed him on the bed "you can finish eating in a minute darling but we need to talk" he said as he had no idea how this was going to go.

Oliver looked at Thane curiously as if to say 'whats wrong?' He just didn't find what he just said wrong at all, was he not allowed to ask about his parents sending?

Odessa took a deep breath and got up, laying next to him on the bed "darling, one simple question, how did you find out?"

"When you wouldn't wake up I was spending time with Nana and Pop and I was told to go get Uncle Thane and Aunt Sayako for something and so I went back to get Uncle Thane first and Aunt Sayako and him were talking, I was always told not to interrupt when others were talking so I just waited but I did listen in on their conversation and they were talking about my real mom and dad, they thought I was still with Nana and Pop so they didn't realise I was there" he said as he snuggled in against his mother.

Sayako just sat there, looking between Thane, Gersif and Odessa, she didn't know what to say but she took a deep breath and smiled sombrely at him "darling, what did you hear?" She asked curiously.

"That my real parents have died and that you lot are lying to me and how I am not ever meant to know real reason" he said, deciding to just mention the jist of it.

"Y...you understand why we did that don't you?" Thane asked the pup.

"I do and don't worry about it, I was upset at first, still im sort of, but it's alright, I heard also how you both couldn't tell me, I don't think I would of wanted to know, it was nice being able to think of Odessa and Gersif as my parents, I still want to think of them as my parents, at least I have them even though they are not my real ones but, I just have a favour to ask, can you please tell me how they died?" He asked curiously, hoping they wouldn't deny him this request.

"Odessa's eyes brimmed with tears and she got up"please, excuse me" she said as she nuzzled Oliver "I need to out for a few moments" she said as she ran out of the cave and over by the lake, layiong down she tried to compose herself, not succeeding but she tried, how was she meant to tell a pup his mother was decapitated? Thinking about it just made her feel sick to the stomach again, he couldn't know this, he just couldn't.

Thane and Sayako climbed up onto the bed next to the pup, hoping Odessa wouldn't mind and nuzzled him.

"Sayako and I" Thane started "were your father and mothers best friends, we were more then that, we treated each other as if we had been family our whole lives, both being only children when we both met your parents as young pups ourselves we both Sayako instantly clicked with your mother, Calliope and I was the same with your father, Morpheus" he said smiling softly at the thought of Morpheus before his mind went to Orion and he just shook his head to clear it, as far as he was concerned he was an only child, Orion never existed, thankfully his parents see it that way as well, they hated hearing what happened with him but they accepted it no matter how hard it was, they understood a Kitsu who was like Orion deserved to be stopped no matter what it took. Thane sighed and looked at Oliver and carried on "I was there when your mother passed away and whilst I did everything in my power to save her I couldn't, I was trying to fight off a couple of others who were attacking your mother when she got away and after she had gotten somewhere safe, or so she thought, another just ended up killing her but Gersif is right, she loved you so much, you meant everything to her, to your father as well, he wanted to be here for your birth and to watch you grow so much, I had meet such Kitsu before in my travels but I swear, these two had to be the happiest of all when it came to knowing they were going to have a child, they had planed so much, they wanted to do everything with you."

Sayako nuzzled Oliver "they were the most awesome of kitsu's ever, they were funny, sweet, kind, loveable, at times a little crazy but when you came along they knew they had to settle down and take care of you, Thane wasn't exactly happy your father took the more casual lifestyle from what he and your father used to do but it worked out for the better, I had never seen your mother as happy as she was when Morpheus ended up staying with her...well, that was till you came along then she was ecstatic" she said as she licked the pups cheek "but as much as Thane and I hate them not being here we have grown to accept the fact and move on, it is hard but I have done it and you have as well. Of course, what we did was wrong and we are REALLY sorry for that, we just didn't want to cause you the heartache Thane and I had suffered so we thought it just easier to allow Gersif and Odessa to be your parents, you had never met your father so you didn't know what he looked like and as much as Odessa is like your mother she isn't, obviously, there are a few slight things that are different about her that your mother didn't have but Odessa did but, right now, Odessa and Gersif love you as their own, it was wrong to tell you all those lies but we just could never tell you the truth, we didn't know how, it was just easier to let you believe that some day your mother would be back, Odessa just happened to look like a near exact clone of your mother we thought it would be easier to just have her pass off as Calliope."


"No one will ever take Calliope and Morpheus' place in our livbes and in our hearts, your parents will always be with us and will always be the two greatest Kitsu's we have ever met and will always love them but Gersif and Odessa found you several weeks ago and felt sorry for you, took you in and accepted that they would, possibly, be your new parents, Odessa fell in love with you as soon as she met you and I have known for a while now that it is very easy to do, you are the most precious pup around, it would be hard not to fall in love with you, but the fact of the matter is, she isn't your mother and never will be just like Gersif will never be your father but, if you still want them to be your parents or not that is now your choice" Thane said as he nuzzled the pup.

Oliver had listened to everything and got up "excuse me" he said as he walked outside and looked around, noticing the lone black kitsu by the lake, he had gotten used to seeing Odessa by the lake, no matter if she was upset, happy, needing to think or whatever she went to the lake, it was common place to find her there. Oliver sighed and started walking over to her, not entirely sure on what he was meant to say to her but he had to talk to her, a part of him wanted to and needed to, words just failed him.

((Because I have written too much and don't want to go down the road of Novel City again (which I think will be a tad too late anyway) I will leave it here and continue with Odessa and Oliver in my next post. XD))
