The pain actually dimmed when she grabbed his hand but got worse when she cast her spell actually making him yell out for a moment as he fell back grabbed his hand. Cracked started to appear in his skin and glow like it was going to explode. He got an idea..he and she were going to hate it but he jumped up and hugged her tightly and the pain actually started to go down until it stopped. He let go of her and looked at the mark " What..that actually worked....damn it all." he said and sighed.

 Raven had managed to keep herself from btoh crying or shouting out when the pain worsened. When he hugged her, she felt the pain lessen, but everything seemed extremely awkward up until the point where he let go. She'd hugged him back, of course, but mostly for the sake of making the pain go away faster. Taking several steps away, she looked away, frowning. "Well, isn't this just paechy? Now whenever it starts to hurt we have to hug." She shuddered at the thought at what might happen if hugging got old. Turning away, she wanted to get away from all this nonsense as quickly as possible, but knew that the magic binding them wouldn't let them go so swiftly.
The symbol on the back of her hand throbbed as an idea popped into her head to keep it from starting again. Clenching her hands into fists at her sides, she knew that it was up to her to end the pain this time around. "I..." She forced out and took a breath before continuing, her pride beginning to crumble around her. "I'm sorry. I believe that it was my fault for starting all of this." Happy now? She thought to nothing or nobody in particular.

He sighed " Well this is just great." he said " I think they enjoy punishing us." he said rubbing his head as he looked down at the ground. He was trying to think...he really wished he knew a way out of it but he didn't so he was pretty much stuck. He looked up at her when she apologized and sighed ' Unnecessary...the pain stopped no need to lower yourself any further." he said back to his calm nature as he looked at her. He sigh simply sighed " We both got ourselves into this so we'll just have to see how this goes until the end of the year." he said calmly if not a little annoyed. He drew a symbol on the ground and held out his hand as a mirror rose for the ground a Stone was shown. Elkand sighed " Lillith please move the house." he requested. The stone seemed to glow brighter when it talked " Oh? Came to that agreement pretty quick didn't you? You really just wanna end it" the stone had the voice of both a boy and a girl as it spoke. Elkand shook his head ' Just move the house." he said the stone stayed silent for a moment " Already done boss...right next to each other as you were about to order." he said and the mirror vanished " I need to destroy that thing one day." he said and looked at her " Well that's been settled." he said looking at her.

Raven sat down, leaning her back against a tree as she did so. She felt so tired, as if his using magic had taken energy away from her. Of course... I'm not used to such magic and it drains me much quicker than it does him.... Sighing tiredly, she wondered whether he would experience the same results as she had when she used her witch magic. "Does it really take you that much energy to talk to a rock?" She mumbled under her breath as she stood. Half shutting her eyes, she whispered a spell and several yards away appeared a small table, chairs, and some breakfast foods. It had been set out early this morning, but since she'd been summoned, she hadn't had the time to eat. Motioning for him to sit, she asked, "Hungry?"

Elkand didn't feel tired like she did beacuse this was the first spell any wizard learned in case they needed to contact someone. He looked at her " Well no not usually this is just a simply spell.' he said though when she whispered her spell he suddenly felt drained as a result. He walked over and took a seat " Yes thank you." he said quietly still feeling a bit tired. He nodded " Thank you Raven." he said and stabbed the end of his staff into the ground.

 Raven sat down across from him after he sat, pushing back crimson colored hair from her face. "Our magics are almost polar opposites, yet they are the same." She felt just as drained as he did. When he thanked her for the breakfast, she waved her hand as if to brush away the thanks. "Since we're stuck like this until our demise, you may call me by my... true name." She'd had to take a new name when moving from mentor to mentor, for no one would have taken her in for the 'pathetic' name that she'd been given at birth. "The name Raven Blackfeather is a cover up to make me seem as if I came from a more powerful family. I ask of you to call me Larkanna."

Elkand nodded ' A factor many ignore." he said and looked at her when she mentioned her true name and was about to tell her not to tell him as she had done it for a reason but she had said it anyway. He didn't really get her reasoning...even if yuor family wasn't known for being power doesn't mean you as an individual couldn't be powerful as she had proved. He shook his head " Larkanna...truly a witches name.' he said and wasn't lying when he said it " You shouldn't cha-..." he stopped himself...he was about to lecture her but she was not a child and was not a student so there was no use. He nodded " Both your names truly fit you Larkanna." he said and looked at her and shook his head and tried to think...he mgiht as well get to know the person he was doomed to die with at the end of the year . He moved the cloth covering the back of his hands back on " So Larkanna...who exactly taught you...from what I heard you were truly a power witch." he said.

Larkanna shrugged off the comment about Larkanna being a witch's name. Songbirds had little magical meaning when it came to omens or having signifigant importance in spells or enchantments. "I've been taught by several different mentors over my years of learning." She'd always become too strong for each mentor as she learned from them until there was nothing they could teach her. "The last I learned from was Stormelda Wolfbane, who is considered to be the strongest witch, but I had been coming so close to taking that honorific before the accident." Pouring two cups of herbal tea, she took a sip from the cup in front of her. "And I've heard plenty of your conquests in the magical world, so who taught you?"

Elkand thought about it beacuse as he was enrolled in the wizards academy he had many different teachers. He looked at her " The Archmage Elderain grimdole." he said " He taught me everything I needed to know about controlling magic." he said " But I had many teachers for each field of magic." he sighed " Though my family taught me as well being as they are known for being some of the most talented wizards ever." he said taking a sip from his own cup a few times " However...I wasn't able to quite match you....always one step behind until the day of the accident.." he said " However...I recently started to collect old tomes and grimoires and learning new things from those instead." he said.

Larkanna nodded, that was only to be suspected of a powerful wizard such as Elkand. But to hear that he'd always been a step behind her was odd. She'd always thought he was on the same level as herself, that was why she'd begun searching for books from other countries to find the ancient spells that had been lost. "Not a bad hobby if I do say so myself." She said as she took up a piece of toast and took a tiny bite out of it. Everything on the table was still warm and fresh due to a charm that she'd placed on the dishes and table. "I ended up traveling and searching for the oldest of books, looking for tidbits on the ancient spells that might have been used to shape the world that we live in today."

Elkand nodded " Its a natural requirement for for wizards as they only leave the academy with basics...we must learn the others." he said and looked at her " I looked around for a spell like that as well but I actually found it....but that spell is exactly how I ended up in this mess...the spell I used was of course a witches spell." he said " Said to have been strong enough to create the various mountains and valleys we know." he said " I'd give it to you...but in out current state it wouldn't do you much good..." he sighed.

Larkanna listened to his words, wondering why in the world they had schools when you could learn much more from a mentor. Then again, the witches and wizards looked at teaching from different points of views, so she kept herself from making a comment on that. She about dropped her piece of toast when he mentioned that he'd found a spell similar to her own, the one that had been created and made for witches. Putting the toast on teh table, she stared him for a long moment before slouching and letting out an agrivated sigh. "So that's where it got off to when I went looking for it..." She said before shaking her head in disbelief. "I found a creation spell that was a wizard's spell.... And I can't give it to you nor may I take yours.... Blast it all!"

Elkand sighed " So that must be how we got roped together in this punishment...I should have researched the spell thoroughly now were stuck like this until the end of the year." he said " I should have known I was in the wrong place and picked up the wrong book...oh well..no use crying over it now." he sighed " My family sure won't be happy about this." he hadn't even tonight of telling his family about this until now. He finished his tea and started on the toast taking small bites and remaining silent "I wish this year would be over already." he said.

"Then I guess in disappointment we are perfectly matched." Larkanna snapped. Her social life was ruined due to this whole dilemma. How would she be able to look at any of her fellow witches without feeling like an embarassment. The last thing she wanted to think about was the fact that sooner or later this was going to reach the ears of her last mentor, who had trained her better than what she'd become. "Time traveling spells are out of the question due to the fact that the fabric of space is too delicate to be used so recklessly...." Waving her hand over the teapot, it refilled the wizard's glass as if someone invisible were doing it. "Social galas and events are going to be disasterous..." (( Haha, 'tis a line (from the Corpse Bride) that I've always wanted to use. XD ))

Elkand sighed " Unfortunately that is the case." he said in a low growl . He knew now this was going to be a problem at the academy both for social reasons and for the fact he would teach there soon. He had on clue how much his power had been reduced but he knew beacuse of it he could have to reject the offer as he was so close. He shook his head " Time traveling spells are a definite no...time is fragile yes..but you could destroy time itself if you tamper too much." he said " Besides...do you really think that these seals will let you do it?" he said " Were gonna have to figure out a way to deal with this when it comes to such events..." he said.
(((Ah yes the Corpse Bride...love that movie...and what was with the Fina; Fantasy four (( Love that game)) picture? o.o)))
