Kai_Chi Amandelie Kai_Chi Amandelie Kai_Chi hows everyone doing today : )? stressed D: awww, whats wrong, whats got you so stressed? hmmm sounds like a world poll of events are going on with you right now. What are you majoring in? like what kind of business are you trying to get into?
Oh yes, this has probably been the worst year ever for my family so I'm always wishing something would just be easy and go right, heh. I ended up majoring in art with a concentration in graphic design..but pretty much the only thing I got out of college was a piece of paper that says I'm a graduate..I developed a lot socially and made some new friends which was good for me, but the level of preparation for anything career wise was minimal. Right now I'm not even sure if I want a job that is art related, I just want something I can work with a computer maybe with minimal stress so I can get some money going into my savings and decide what I want later. @.@ /crazylife

Are you still in school or are you working?Graphic design is a very hard industries to get into, from what I've heard. Have you tried sending out portfolios to other companies outside of your home town? I have a few friends who took graphic design as well and the only ones that ended up getting jobs were the ones who looked for them everywhere in the country, and even outside the country. But it was still hard to get, some of them had to do lots of freelancing work before they got a stable full time job as a graphic designer for a compagnie... (think it took something like a year and a half) As for me, I finished school about 3 years ago. I was one of the lucky, oh so very lucky individuals that managed to get a job in my domain while coming out of school. I work as a 3D artist for a gaming compagnie. And I was the only one in my hole class who got a job in my field for the first year. The second guy (one of my friends) managed to get a job in the cinema as 3D modeler, ruffly a year after me. And the third personne (another friend as well) got a job with a 3D gaming compangie 2 years after I got in. Everyone else in my class did not get a job. Its a very hard field to get into as well... art domains.... I think its worth it though, because every day your happy doing what you do, and it doesn't feel like work really. However if your looking for stability, its also a feeled that can offer very little.

Kai_Chi fanmuhr Kai_Chi fanmuhr Kai_Chi fanmuhr well, i had some difficulties in the last week with my car (i had an accident last thursday) and the repair shop i brought my car to was.....well.....not that good. (a lot of lies. and promises were all lies -.-) but i got it back on friday biggrin (and now i'm nearly poor sweatdrop ) ouch : ( how much did it end up coasting you? in dollar it would be about 1800$ oh snap O_O thats crazy D: thats gotta totaly suck! did you have savings or something you could take the money for that? or did you have to take it out on credit? : ( my grandparents helped me a lot, but i had to use a bit of my savings too^^ so...how was your day? well that's good, its always good to know you have some family to help you out in difficult times : 3 My day was pretty good, I bought some candles yesterday and had a little romantic supper with my bf *romantic nerd I am* XD haha Today me and a bunch of my friends plan on going out to a parc and having a nice picnic : ) Its a really nice day out, and some nice fresh air will do us some good I think. And you fanmuhr how have you been other than the car thing? Have you been taking lots of commissions recently? or are they on hold for the moment? that sounds good^^ (i'd like to do things with all of my friends, but i have to work so much, i don't have time for that sad ) well...kinda...i had a thread were you could create a demon which i will put in my demonfamily (i wanted new oc's and now i have 5, but it was so much fun to do, that i wanted other people to think of their own demon >w< ) in "ataack of the wips" i posted 3 of them....and i'm still working on them ^^" well, in 2 weeks i have all time i need to draw biggrin (i won't work the next 3 weeks. i can concentrate on moving and living in a nother town then >.< ) and i think in that time i will build up an art shop. what do you think? oh yeah....you can call me by my name if you want^^
