Ugh. For a little while I did site art for another gaia-type forum, and there was one member in particular that always, without fail managed to complain, mostly because she hated anime style artwork. I ended up doing a complete re-design of all the sites NPCs, and she complained all over the forums because the style was suddenly anime, and failed to mention that the site now had a multi-racial cast. :/
I remember that happening. xd It makes me giggle, because my boyfriend is the exact same way with anything Reapersun does or puts out.
Yeah... I quit when the site changed ownership and the new owner couldn't get his s**t together and pay me in a reasonable amount of time. To be fair a lot of the art I did was way outside my comfort zone at the time, and when ollie would ask me to draw something id go through this momentary panick of, oh my god am I even capable of doing this? Most of my backgrounds were crap because I didn't honestly know what I was doing... I studied perspective just so I wouldn't be a complete loss, but studying only does so much for you when you just don't have the skill yet.
