~*Sphyria floated down to the Lobby of the Tower, anxiously awaiting a close human friend of hers...
It had been this person, and her mentor, who had originally found her...after she had ungracefully slammed through several layers of earth and rock in the center of their city...
It had been nice to meet them, though her friend's mentor had seemed quite gruff and harsh to begin with...as if she distrusted her... The younger hero had seemed very nice, cheerful even, and full of concern; she was very nice to Sphyria the whole time...
And now, the Tremarian anxiously awaited the arrival of one of the few humans on Earth who could speak her language without aid...*~

~*Upon entering the Tower, Nightingale had been amazed at the sheer size of the Entrance...not to mention the Rest of the Place!
And in the doorway, was one she knew well...Sphyria, her alien friend...
Smiling she strode in, her domino mask switching to infrared momentaarily to check they were alone before returning to normal once again.
A quick check over her shoulder made certain her mentor was no longer in sight...if The Kestrel hd caught her doing what she was about to do, Nightingale would spend the next month doing nothing but Training Drills and Obstacle Courses...
The coast was clear, she looked to the other and calmly said, "My'viet, Sphyria, X'hal N'val D'han." and bowed respectfully, the blessing of X'hal was repeadted to her, and then...
She tossed her bag off the spandex-clad shoulder, her cape coming free in the process, and squealed joyously, racing forwards to hug her best friend.*~

~*Sphyria was surprised, as well as pleased when Nightingale had remembered the correct Blessing of X'hal for meeting a friend...she had learned well.
How could she not? The girl had been an avid student...and there had been time, even Sphyria's accelerated healing had taken time to mend all that was bruised and broken from her collision with the -very solid- Earth and pavement.
Her head had jerked upright, as the girl squealed...expecting danger...and then two deceptively slender arms squeezed her tightly. The girl may only be human, but there was a significant amount of strength in her that belied the outward appearance.
Though it was difficult to tell, as she was draped in skin tight black spandex/kevlar blend and her cape nearly enveloped her when the breeze blew it forwards...
The outfit had changed since she saw it last...only slightly...
Where once her uniform had been all-black [including the thigh-high boots Sphyria had frowned upon], with nothing but her mask and Nightingale symbol (a small bird within a hollow circle, diving towards her left hip) for colour -though a very nice shade of yellowy gold...
Now her black arm-length gloves had a single, ornate spiral of yellow/gold extending from the middle finger on either hand, and straight up the arm.
"K'lal My'kesh Sovah'n, Hannah!" she complemented the other's new additions, the originality of the design suggested there had been a significant arguement about individuality...
Sphyria herself, for all her powers, shuddered in fear when she thought of facing the girl's mentor, for The Kestrel was a strange and worrying hero. There was none of the softness in the woman that Nightingale portrayed...
But at the mention of her true name, the Hero flinched and looked about nervously... *~

~*Were this any other time or place...
Nightingale beamed at the compliment, knowing she, herself, had fought hard for the small addition; The Kestrel having been completely incensed she would wish to change an 'original design based on functionality for her own, personal tastes'...
Oh yes, what a battle...
And then she realised what Sphyria had said, her true name...her heart raced faster and she stepped away from her blue, horned...floating, friend, with wide eyes behind her mask.
"Sphyria, you cannot reveal my true name, The Kestrel has forbidden it! Please, never do so again in the open...I do not wish to leave this place before I even join the Team...!" she urged, worriedly in Tremarian... *~

~*Taken aback by the earnesty...and mild desperation, in the normally unemotional (or exceptionally cheerful) tone, Sphyria nodded.
"I will do as you wish, my friend...I also, would not be of the wishing for you to leave us now..." she replied in her native language, taking in the grateful beam she was given, and noting the quick, furtive glance the other made over her shoulder...
"Come, we will go to the place of feasting! The...Kitchen?" she said, halting over the strange Human word...*~

~*Her shoulders lost the horrific tension of a few seconds before, and she smiled, easily...knowing she would have to adopt a hard expression for much of her time here...
"Sure, let us go to the Kitchen..." Nightingale chirruped like her namesake, and bent to pick up her bag...from where'd she flung it.
Only to find herself unpside down and several feet from the floor, bag dangling in her hand...Sphyria was giggling...this was a familiar game they had played on many an occasion...
"Sphyriaaaaaaaaa," she drawled, dramatically, only to have the other toss her in the air like a doll...her world flipped it's view from Floor to Ceiling and blue, beaming face...
Her back slid easily onto the extended blue arm as the Tremarian caught her friend in an (Embarrassing!) bridal-style-position...
Nightingale knew from experience to just accept it...and prey The Kestrel wasn;t watching...*~

~*Outside, hovering silently in the giant, invisible ship that was the NightWing, a black and Purple clad figure allowed a smile -seldom seen- to grace her lips as she watched her side-kick...no, her partner for the girl did not enjoy the 's'-word.
As she turned the ship from the Tower, a soft, rarely-heard bubble of laughter fell from her throat through amused lips... The engines engaged, awaiting her orders for final hyper-speed jump...her purple clad finger hovered over the confirmation button for longer than normal.
The Hero's gaze turned back to the Tower with uncertainty, Was this right for Nightingale? Would she be safe here? Maybe she should go and get-
No! The Kesrel shook her head, finally realising what the other League Members had meant when they spoke of their partner's first day at the Tower, and how all had felt great anxiety...
Some had likened it to a child's first day at school, minus the crying and clinging to one's leg...of course...
But still, Kestrel's hand moved downwards, a full-fledged smile showing her teeth to the empty cockpit as she thought, "Hannah will be fine..."
As she sped away, towards her city, she knew it to be true...
Call it...Mother's intuition... *~

Marina walked into the lobby, her head low. She had already unpacked the little things she had. She looked around at the empty room. 'Wonder where the others are...' She thought, walking over to the couch. Marina sat down, ruffling her hair on the back of her head, in the pass two weeks she had received a concussion, her mind was a blank, except for her ablities and a few other notes. The bandages were still wrapped around her forehead, her vision often become blurry. "Its still hurts though..." She mumbled looking up at the large television sitting back, maybe some shows might bring back some memories...
She switched on the TV.

~*Finding another visitor in the Lobby, Shyria handed over a translator, so they may talk properly...
"Hello! I am Sphyria, as I do not speak your Human language, you must wear this, I am sorry. Welcome to Titans Tower! What is your name?" the eager alien princess leaned in a little too close for comfort...blue eyes pulsing with excitement.*~

Marina looked at the communicator, looking at the young woman.
"H-Hello..." She blinked several times at the sudden introduction, "U-Umm, that's alright..." Marina placed the communicator on, leaning a bit back when she got a little to close, "Thank you for the welcome, I'm Marina..." She said softly, a little hesitant...
