I may not be much of help, but for skin tones maybe it would be helpful to do the normal color skin, and then adding the other desired color?

Yeah, I look at my art all the time and think its horrible. I feel like I have no hope and am never going to get better. I look back on some of my previously drawn picture, thats when I see my improvement. I'm practicing poses, mine always end up really loose looking, cant do faces to save my life, stuck drawing the same size everytime..
One thing that definatley inspires me to want to get better (Usually wanting to improve faster than I actually do sweatdrop ) Is looking at other poeple art who are a lot better than me. Its a pretty good way for me to get inspired to draw.. not necesarily what to draw sweatdrop

Vanna1994-- That's true, I manually add it in afterwards but sometimes it looks weird, it's good for highlights directly from sources, but for an entire tinted picture it's rather difficult

Oh yeah looking back does up my confidence so that helps :3 Especially cause looking at better artists sometimes brings me down. I do strive to get better like them, and often it does motivate me. But for when I get down on myself, looking back does make me realize I'm still improving. Thank you so much ^-^ You r advice was definately helpful!

my bf gave me "funny cats" to work with so I drew an angry cat with a scarf punching at a string with little fishies on it XD I should probably have found something a little more random though haha
