Snow Mishibari i do about the same on digital as i do traditional when it comes to the drawing, but when i color oh god is there a big difference. the layers certainly help and being able to have all the colors in the world on a scale is awesome too, it makes it more broad, so its just another medium to me, but i personally prefer to work with digital ^-^ but i do love it when people can make something amazing with traditional. the undo button is my lover~ The undo button is my hero!! NO ANNOYING MARKS WHERE YOU ERASED AND THE PENCIL IS SOMEWHAT STILL THERE WOOO!!

Using digital media is far from cheating. People often mess up "easier to steal" and "easier to build from scratch". I had a traditional artist sitting next to me in my class when he pretty much started to spit on digital art, saying it takes less skill to learn than traditional, I differed, telling them that digital has undo button at most and traditional uses motorics we are developing from early on.I think it's a fare game.
Motorics needed for digital painting are different from ones with traditional unless you are using that fancy tablet with touch screen, but how many have enough money to buy that when still learning in digital media?

Well, I draw traditionally and diitaly, and I find them both just as difficult. So no, I don't think it's cheating at all. It's just different. If someone was trying to pass off digital art for traditional, that would be cheating. but they're not, so it's all good ^^
