Valter looked at the trio before him, as he raised his lance with the banner upon it. He slammed it back upon the bell, the strike creating a ringing noise that reverberated throughout the town...A sound that had not been heard in ages. And yet, with the current situation, it sounded more like the beginning of a war...the start of bloodshed. "You will all submit to me, in the end, wishing, praying for death do come. And you," He stated to the undead man before the others.

"...you will recieve the worst of all. Being who you are, your chance of survival is significantly higher. But your pain will be the greatest, as you watch those around you... Those you love... Die a horrid death, without a whisper to acknowledge they even existed." He looked to the others. "But be of good cheer! In dying here, you will be spared the cataclysm to come. Rest. Be merry this night. Pray... I'll give you that much time. For all you have done up to now... Repent it, and sleep." after saying this, the man looked upon them for a moment longer, before he pierced the night witht he most horrid shriek of rage and pain, disappearing into the shadows once more.

"well that was rather unsettling" suwako stated she didn't let her guard down as she watched the figure take off,

The wolf appeared to instantly relax, sitting down to scratch behind her ear although she kept her eyes open. When the man laid down right in the ruins she rose, padding over to him to look down curiously, one ear tilted forward while the other was lax, half up half down.

The she wolf's ears flicked and her tail swayed slightly as she watched the man. Seeing him go still as he went to sleep or whatever was his equivalent, she gave a very soft, almost inaudible whine. Her nails made an odd clicking noise as she padded over to glance at the sky. That clicking was silenced as she made her way back. A few feet away she more or less collapsed with a huff, laying her head across her folded paws. She didn't close her eyes though, simply watched. Later she might doze, but she knew herself well enough to expect that she would get any closer to sleep than that.

Cyra opened one eye as Bartheyamus moved, flicking her ears back and forth as he patted her. She shifted slightly, gathering her back feet under her as she yawned. Gracefully she rose to her feet before shaking off any and all dust left by the ancient floor. The man seemed distracted so she turned off slightly, touching her nose to the ground as she investigated some scent or another. She would be back at the inn in a few minutes, once she found the mouse. It is somewhere right here, I can smell it, I can hear it. Ah, there it is! Poor mouse never even knew what snapped it up. Licking her lips absently the she wolf turned, wandering towards the inn as if she didn't have a care in the world, or maybe had forgotten the concept of time.

as everyone entered the hallow they notice that it was rather dark in the town, shadows were cast everywhere. they also could hear something in the distance but could only make it out if they got closer

The wolf simply flicked her ears, starting to range slightly ahead as she zigzagged back and forth. As she continued down the street her ears started flicking again and again, almost as if to get rid of an annoyance. Finally, concluding that pretty much all of the scents were either too old to be of use or from last night she looked up, ears pointed towards the noise, the hairs along her back starting to stand up.

Seamus stayed close to Rachel as they followed the strange sound to it's source.
