"Sarri" ________________________________________________ Dreaming deeply with both eyes open...Hyrule peacefully woke up to the blazing sun, rising to another day without war, whereas, a girl of about nineteen was still locked in the world of dreams. Sarrianna Jae Knight was snoring by a door high up in the castle, dreaming. Several guardsmen walked by, giving her an amused glance that said "How they picked a girl so young to take that job, I have no idea". None knew that she, despite the peaceful look on her face as she leaned with her back against the wall, was locked in nightmares. ...Fire, everywhere. Consuming, hungry, and destroying all in its path. She heard stone crack, fire crackle, and people screaming. She coughed, startled to see blood-soaked cloth fluttering forth on the bare breeze. CRASH! A tower fell under the weight of the flickering flames, fragile stone giving in. She reached out and snatched the charred, bloody cloth from the currents of air. Sarri turned it over in the unnatural orange glow of the destruction, examining it. It confirmed her fears, and with tears streaming from her blue eyes, she uncurled her fingers, letting the green cloth continue on its journey- "AAH!" Sarri jerked awake, banging her head on the door frame in the process, several curses fleeing her mouth all within one second. She, in spite her throbbing head, threw open the door, hand on the hilt of her sword- while the other nursed to bump that was beginning to form. "Zelda? You alright?" Sarri closed one light blue eye in pain for three seconds, forcing herself to remove her hand from the back of her head. She smiled once she saw the half startled, half concerned look the Princess gave her. "Heh. Banged my head. Sorry for startling you." She turned on her heel. "I'll let you get back to whatever it is you were doing before I so rudely interrupted you..."______________________________________ ...hoping that none will become a nightmare.

Zelda, Princess of HyruleI had a d r e a m . . . "Oh, Sarri, I didn't know you were nearby! Sorry, I must've startled you myself." Zelda blinked twice. "You didn't interrupt me, by the way. I just woke up around, well I'd say just a minute ago." She sighed, glancing out her window at the peaceful village in the distance. Once again, she had to make sure that the landscape wouldn't blow up in oranges and yellows before her eyes. It seemed so real... Her hand rested itself gently on the wall beside her. "Again, I apologize. But are you alright? I heard that bang outside, and it didn't sound very pleasant..." She folded her arms with a half-smile. "I at least hope you had a good rest." Because I can't say the same for myself... A shudder ran down her spine at the thought of Ganondorf's cold, merciless eyes boring holes into hers. Ganondorf is gone, Ganondorf is gone, Ganondorf is gone... She kept trying to reassure herself, but that man just gave her the creeps. After all he'd done to Hyrule, and after all his numerous attempts at kidnapping her, Zelda found no way to see his face and not be unnerved by it.
This time, he won.

"Sarri" ________________________________________________ Dreaming deeply with both eyes open...Sarri turned back around to face Zelda, a grin on her face. "I'm alright. It happens a lot more than you think." She scratched her head, avoiding the bump as much as possible, something that signified that something was going on in her head. She closed the door and sighed. "Actually, you saved me from a nightmare." Sarri smoothed out her red tunic and fiddled with her black gloves. "And I would have hit my head anyways. It usually happens like that." She laughed aloud. "So I should probably be thanking you." She smiled again, noting how Zelda looked out the window as if something bad was about to happen. "Are you still having nightmares?" I haven't told her about my nightmares... It's probably better- they're just dreams after all... Right?______________________________________ ...hoping that none will become a nightmare.

Zelda, Princess of HyruleI had a d r e a m . . . "They're as bad as usual." She frowned, slumping into a chair rather ungracefully and looking at Sarri. "It's always about Hyrule burning to the ground. Always. This time I saw Ganondorf rear his ugly head, though." Another shudder. "He killed me! It was not pleasant, not going to lie. But Sarri, you were having a nightmare, as well?" Her comment had sparked Zelda's interest. Sarri also seemed rather unaffected by nightmares if she had them, from what she knew. Maybe she could help the poor Princess out.
This time, he won.

"Sarri" ________________________________________________ Dreaming deeply with both eyes open...Caught unawares by Zelda's question, Sarri nodded hesitantly. She wasn't going to lie to the Princess, and why would she? She sighed and pushed a loose strand of blonde hair from her face. "Yeah." She paused, thinking it over, and scratching her head, again. "Actually, the funny thing is, I was dreaming of basically the... same... thing..." Her voice faded, a sure sign of complete confusion. "Fire, definitely. Definitely screaming, and-" Sarri broke off, biting her lip. "I found a piece of burnt and bloody cloth. It was green." She paused for a second before continuing. "But I wasn't the one killed..." There was no need to speak any further, since she had related the basics of this random nightmare.______________________________________ ...hoping that none will become a nightmare.

Zelda, Princess of HyruleI had a d r e a m . . . "I see." Zelda said quietly. "Well. This is definitely an interesting piece of information... I'm really concerned about this now, actually. What do we do? This can't go on forever, I've had these awful dreams for a couple months, now! Have you had it for the same amount of time?" There really was no explanation as to why this was happening, to Zelda. Nothing and anything could be triggering it. It could mean something, or it could just be mere coincidence. Either way, it was weird, that much was a given. She sighed. "Sarri, is anyone else having nightmares? We should meet up sometime soon to discuss them."
This time, he won. XXXXXClaire Marie... I'll paint a picture all about the colors I've been d r e a m i n g of... A young adult was splayed out on the top bunk of three beds, lazily turning her head this way and that while drooling on her pillow. Every now and then she'd furrow her eyebrows, then frown, then return to her original expression. Suddenly she sat up straight, eyes snapping open. "IT WASN'T ME IT WAS THE FAIRY I SW- oh." Claire looked around the room to see everything normal. Three desks were side-by-side in the corner, along with three lockers and three dressers on the wall. "Claire, you idiot! The bell hasn't gone off yet, we still have like, an hour to sleep! Go back to bed." One of her roommates grumbled, putting her pillow over her head. "Sorry!" She squeaked. Immediately she jammed her hand underneath her pillow, revealing a journal and a pencil. She began to write: My dream was more whimsical this time around. The village was on fire again, and what I believe to be Ganondorf stood there all high and mighty watching it go ablaze. No surprise there. But then this stupid blue fairy comes along and does this spell on him to stun him and disappears, and guess who's the only other person around? Me. So he gets mad at little old me and yells "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" At the top of his lungs, then tries stabbing me. Then I woke up. Wonderful story, I know. Claire shut the book and shoved it and the pencil back to its regular place. There's no way I can go back to bed... Might as well start the day. She hopped down from her bunk, walking over to her locker and pulling out her regular burgundy tunic, slipping out of her nightclothes and throwing that on with her normal belt, boots, and gloves. She tucked her sword away in the sheath on her back, and attached her satchel and hookshot to her belt. The usual. So she wouldn't disturb her other roommate again, she quietly tiptoed out of the room and shut the door behind her ever-so-silently. I've an hour before I have to go to the training grounds... Claire thought. Maybe I could check on Zelda and get that out of the way. After all, Claire was Zelda's backup bodyguard. She had to check on her at least once a day. She left the barracks and silently walked over to the spiral staircase leading up to Zelda's room, beginning to make her way up them.
The hours just don't seem enough to put it all together... Maybe it's as strange as it seems.

"Sarri" ________________________________________________ Dreaming deeply with both eyes open...Sarri pondered for a minute, yet again scratching her head (wincing when her fingernails reached the bump), trying to make sense of it all. The nightmares had been very recent, a little while after Zelda began having hers, but still about the same of content. Except one thing, Sarri had been left all alone in her nightmares. In each one, a close friend died in front of her eyes, or, even, like the last dream, she could only infer that someone had died. Usually it was someone very dear to her, like Zelda, or Link, giving her a sense of helplessness. She HATED that feeling. "A few weeks ago, I think, I started having nightmares." She smiled, as if it meant nothing to her. "I didn't think much of them except that they were cutting in on my sleep time. You know how I deal with situations like that..." She was referring to her usual optimistic outlook on things. Sarri then shrugged. "Link hasn't told me of anything, and nobody in the guard barracks sees me very often nowadays."______________________________________ ...hoping that none will become a nightmare.

Zelda, Princess of HyruleI had a d r e a m . . . Zelda looked down at the floor, her chin cupped in her hands. "Hmm... Wait, Link has been having the nightmares too?" She looked back up at Sarri, a glint of hope in her eyes. With Link in the same boat as her, she'd feel a lot more comforted. "He hasn't told me of them..." Which was a little odd. Link and Zelda were good friends, they usually didn't keep too many secrets from one another.
This time, he won. XXXXXClaire Marie... I'll paint a picture all about the colors I've been d r e a m i n g of... Claire reached the top of the stairs, seeing Sarri in the doorway. "Yoo hoo! Checking in." She said with a smile. Zelda approached the doorway as well, standing next to Sarri and giving Claire a small wave. "Good morning, Claire. What are you doing up so early?" "Bleh. I can't sleep. Some no-good fairy decided to get me in trouble with Ganondorf." She frowned, folding her arms and cocking her head to one side. "I came up to check on you, like usual. I could ask you guys the same question, though; what are you doing up so early?" "Nightmares." "Still? Me too. It hasn't been very pleasant, if I do say so myself. I've had 'em a few weeks now. Pretty annoying. What do you think's up?" "To be honest I don't know. Sarri doesn't know either." "You've had them too, Sarri? I did not know this."
The hours just don't seem enough to put it all together... Maybe it's as strange as it seems.

"Sarri" ________________________________________________ Dreaming deeply with both eyes open..."Well, we don't necessarily see each other all the time! What about you? You've never told me about your nightmares." Sarri laughed, patting Claire on the shoulder. "Yep, nightmares are a nuisance." She sighed, finally calming down. She turned back to the princess. "Like I said, Link hasn't said anything about it, if he has been getting nightmares. I'll talk to him whenever I get the chance." She shrugged and fidgeted with her gloves again, as if she just had to get them perfect with the Royal symbol on the back. "Oh, and by the way, Claire, don't you ever wake me up in the middle of the night," Sarri said jokingly, "I might hit my head again." she said, rubbing the bump.______________________________________ ...hoping that none will become a nightmare.

XXXXXClaire Marie... I'll paint a picture all about the colors I've been d r e a m i n g of... "Gah! This is very true, sorry Sarri." Claire exclaimed. "I have been having nightmares as well, for a few weeks, like I said. It's mainly Hyrule burning down and Ganondorf going on a stomping rage around Castle Town." She imitated Ganondorf marching around in her dreams, just with a little more feeling, with her knees high in the air as she did, then stopped and laughed. "That guy gives me the creeps, though." "I think he does that with everyone." Zelda raised an eyebrow with a half smile. "Also true!" She replied. "Kay guys, I don't know about you, but I'm hungry. Wanna see if we can go bother the castle cooks to make breakfast early?" "I'm definitely in. Sarri?"

Blint Ursuul __________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ I stand for Justice, for Vengeance...Blint stood in the open desert the Gerudo called home. Luckily, they were far off or he'd be thrown in jail by now. He lived in a small village, almost cut-off from his kinsmen in Hyrule Castle. It was hard in the desert, but the group that years ago settled in the sands took root. They were called foolish by the Hylians who chose to stay in the Castle, called them Scavengers. Blint's people were looked upon as stupid and violent for heading into a harsh desert to make a living. If he were to go to Hyrule castle, he would be pointed out immediately by his clothing and his his slightly tanned skin, then ridiculed and possibly attacked. That still didn't stop Blint from dreaming of leaving. Behind him, people were working hard in the village. It was hard to make a living, but with the style of clothing they wore, and how they farmed, and their day-to-day lifestyles, they were able to survive in the intense heat. If you counted, there was almost an even amount of women as men. One more male than the women. That extra was Blint. In the desert, there were only so many people who could be taken care of. That meant they had to keep the population under control. They lost it when Blint was born. Now, Blint had been chosen to never marry or have children. They tried to make it sound like an honour, to be free, to do what he wished, but you couldn't sprinkle life without love enough. Elene suddenly walked up and pulled his sleeve. "Blint!! Dad says he wants ya inside! He said a dust storm's coming!" Blint nodded, following his little sister towards their home. It was more of a large shack. Blint undid the straps across his mouth on his jacket, which were meant to keep the dust out of his mouth, then sat down in a chair in the corner. Dust storms were so common, Blint wasn't even afraid of them anymore. Heck, their homes were built to withstand them. Staying in anyone's old home was enough to keep you safe. But... When he looked through the window, this one was different. Bigger. Much bigger. He stole a glance to see if anyone was outside. And of course, a few kids were still playing. The storm was picking up speed, looking darker and darker. It looked like a giant shadow, easily burying the few houses of people who dared to venture further away from the village. Quickly, Blint ran outside, forgetting to do up the straps at his mouth. He grabbed the kids, took a glance over his shoulder, and saw the cloud of dirt upon them already. He quickly undid his long coat and covered the kids with his own body, under his jacket. The next few minutes, it was like a thousand tiny needles were striking him over and over. He felt heavy, and getting heavier. Slowly, the wind rushing past his ears stopped. He slowly stood up, the kids looking around with wonder. Thankfully, their clothes were made to let sand fall off completely instead of having patches stick to you. He did up his coat, and surveyed the mess. It was a disaster. Homes were almost buried, the wells covered and filled, the crops torn and taken away by the wind. It would be weeks until anyone could get things back to normal. Weeks with almost no food or water. True, they could last, but there was still the chance of a second storm. And here, a chance usually meant death. Someone would have to leave for supplies. Quickly, villagers gathered around in wonder. This was the first time in a long time something like this ever happened. Everyone was scared. "Listen up! We can still survive this! We just need some supplies in case we get buried again!" The speaker was of course the mayor, trying to get everyone to keep calm. "Can anyone spare a few days? Maybe a few weeks?" There was suddenly a voice from the crowd blurted out, "Hey! Blint doesn't do much here! He can go!" There was a sudden uproar from the crowd, everyone agreeing and disagreeing. Finally, someone blew a whistle and everyone quieted down. The mayor spoke, "Blint, please stand up here." Mechanically, Blint walked up to the very lanky mayor. The mayor then continued, "Will you go get some extra rations and such? You are well equipped, and you have always wanted to go, yes?" Blint nodded slowly after the mayor stopped speaking. He grabbed the handles of his weapons, making sure they were there, then shook the mayor's hand. "I'll be back, don't worry...." He did up the straps on his face again and slowly walked out of town, heading out of the Desert.______________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________ ...but I'm still missing Mercy...

.:Violet Connors:. Whenever your world starts c r a s h i n g down... It was about morning time now, Violet and her little sister were already up and doing chores. Violet let out a deep sigh as she was folding one of her mother's red shirts. Just as she went to grab another peice of clothing, she heard a loud crash, and a muffled sream. Violet quickly jumped up and ran into the kitchen, where the noise had appeared to be coming from, and saw a huge stack of clothes piled on top of a moving object. Violet stared for a moment, and had comprehended what had just happened. With a laugh, Violet reached her hand into the huge mountain and pulled out her little sister's hand. "You have to be more careful." She continued, the laughter softening. "Well, I was trying to pick up all of the clothes and the basket, but it was too heavy and I tripped!" Cathrine whined. Violet laughed again. "It happens. Why don't you start on the dishes, I'll finish up the laundry." Violet said with a smile, then walked back into the living room and continued folding clothes. With a playful laugh, Cathrine began on the dishes. "Alright, I'm all done with the chores today." Violet said, about thirty minutes later. "Tell mom I went to Hyrule Village to go pick up a book." Violet said to Cathrine as she turned to walk out the door. Stopping for a minute, she turned back around and picked up her bow and arrow, and latched it around her back. You never know what might come up. So, with all the chores and everything done, Violet headed out for Hyrule Village. ...That's where you'll find me.

Durzo Varten I can make time fly by for you...All was peaceful on the side of Death Mountain, on a large plateau. The wind droned on, small pebbles fell here and there, rolling across the ground. There was even a bit of vegetation growing around, small tuffs of some sort of grass-like plant life. It was so calm compared to the rest of the area, despite the few boulders covering a wall. Birds and small creatures ran by and stopped sometimes, resting. One of those boulders was turned to pebbles in a split-second, stone flying in all directions. A monstrous being thundered out of the tunnel, having spent days clearing out the cave-in. It was easy work, but long work. The boulders were no match for a Goron's strength and the might of the gigantic being's sledgehammer. Hefting the mighty weapon, Durzo scanned the area. Pebbles stopped falling down, birds and animals disappeared, the wind kicked up again. If it were possible, the plants would have wilted away instantly or ingrown. It had been far too long in there, munching away at ores and minerals. Now Durzo needed his thirst for blood quenched, very badly. He tried to remember which towns he had recently terrorized. It was difficult work, but he was able to narrow down a few towns still untouched by has hammer, near Gerudo desert. He held his weapon parallel to the ground, then rolled into a ball, the weapon sticking out of his sides. He rolled down the mountain, his soikes on hsi back and shoulderplates helping him gain traction. At his current speed, he made it to his destination in almost no time, passing through the field and past other towns. After a little while, a small town was busy getting their festivities together. Everyone was out working, until a building was hit by some sort of wrecking ball. People gathered around the ruined building, just in time to be blown back as the entire front of the building flew out. Duzo stepped out of the gaping hole in the building, hefted his sledgehammer, then swung it at the group of people who survived the force of the blow and had gotten up to run, sickening thwacks and thuds all around. One man who was far enough away to survive threw some rubble desperately, only to have almost a ton of metal attached to a pole land on him. The rest of the morning devolved to screams and panic, people flying, buildings tumbling, death all around......Just let me get my sledgehammer...
