As many as I can get. I think max of 6. For now. And not techinally, because at first I'm going to hold your hand.

EXAMPLE: "Elrond told the heros of the first battle, how Manwe and the other Valar BLAH BLAH BLAH."

Things will b explained, but you will need to make rolls to see if that really is the legendary elven dagger Sting and whatnot.

Nope, all health is simply rolled, no automatic max.

I usually do take what you get, but I might take pity. But I was taught to play 3.5 the hard way, and nothing was maxed. My first DM was a d**k, and I'mma little nicer, but I find the game isn't fun if there is no danger.

I am giving you the item afterwords. I will always give you an item that makes sense with your class and/or race, and any gold you spent on an item you bought that is replaced with a magic item is reimbursed.
